@NobodyGivesADamn thanks for the title

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Can anyone either suggest where to get a good garmin back and front dashcam please? Can't find one without spending well over a hundred and I am not sure the car is worth that 😀 apparently needs to be able to be hard-wored in.....or a decent cheaper version as so many mixed reviews on the ones on amazon at least.

BoilingHotand50something · 02/11/2024 14:53

My pre-teen wants the Billie Eilish perfume. It is 25% off on Boots today and I was able to stack with a further 10% off from my Advantage Card. With free collection, the 100ml EDP was virtually cheaper than the 30ml on other sites. I haven’t smelt it but reviews suggest it is a good fragrance for a teen/pre-teen.

@Livinginacatdictatorship Tazzies on ebay do some lovely snoods. She had some great ones last time I looked in greys and blacks or navy coloureays that would be suitable for men. I think her standard size is £22 and she does a large one for £40. I have the standard size and they are plenty big and warm enough.

I've used her loads and she's got some gorgeous new colours in glove wise. She also does headbands. She's recently got new branding (see pics) and her stuff is great quality and looks more expensive than you're paying. All come tissue wrapped with tags. Can't recommend her enough

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=seabeach2012&_oac=1

Thank you - I couldn't remember for the life of me what this brand was and really wanted to get some!

choc27 · 02/11/2024 15:32

I think there was some talk about 3d pens a while back? Can anyone recommend? I haven't got a clue!

onedayatatime73 · 02/11/2024 15:47

Thank you for the white company code. I need one for online as I don't live near a store. But thank you

At the bottom of my screenshot there is a code for 10% off online plus free UK delivery (assuming nobody else has used it) I don't know of any better deals I'm afraid.

IlovePond · 02/11/2024 15:53

@Stelmosfire1 - if you wouldn’t mind posting a pic, then you could flag it as a sensitive picture. That way, anyone who didn’t want to, wouldn’t see it. Thanks

To the poster asking about metal detectors, feel free to pm me so I don't clog up the thread with my ramblings (keen detectorist here!). Depends on your budget and whether you're happy with second hand (you'll get more for your money). Sorry can't find their original post

Does anyone have a white company discount code?

They have 20% off everything this weekend, no code needed, they apply it at the checkout.

Does anyone have any recommendations for neck warmer/snoods for men? I've seen Turtle doves mentioned but was looking for something a bit less on the spendy side. Thanks 😊

This ebay store is a bit cheaper than Turtle Doves. I've only bought gloves from her but can confirm the quality as equally good and you get the specific item you selected rather than just one in that colourway. https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/seabeach2012?_pgn=1&_tab=shop

@Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho on a previous year someone posted The Alpaca Shop and I got a guinea pig toy from there- it is honestly the softest, most adorable thing ever! Highly recommend

Oh very cute!!!

Well this looks perfect! Thank you! I'll keep an eye on it for bargain price

jlg22 · 02/11/2024 16:24

Does anyone have the Laithwaites voucher for the Clarkson beer please?

FriendlyLaundryMonster · 02/11/2024 16:24

Could someone please repost the details of the bridal box?

onedayatatime73 · 02/11/2024 16:26

I'm can't see a white company discount on the website. Is it just for selected users? Sorry for all the questions.

ShinyPrettyThings87 · 02/11/2024 16:33

@onedayatatime73 the 20% off is in-store only (as far as I'm aware) but at the bottom of the picture @RainbowZebraWarrior sent you, it has this code for 10% off online plus free delivery

For those of you who missed out on the nespresso machine, Tesco had the dulce gousto mini machine reduced to £36 from £56. They have a wide selection of pods that can be bought at supermarkets and include Costa and Starbucks pods also. They also do galaxy hot chocolate which is delicious!

This looks fab thank you so much! Hoping they are still in stock when we get back from holiday!

DeathStarCanteenGal · 02/11/2024 16:34

have hopefully PMd you a code @onedayatatime73 (I usually use the app not the website) which should get 15% off online and free delivery

Serenitesanta · 02/11/2024 16:42

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and thoughts on the velvetiser. We tried some in store today and ended up buying it. It’s much bigger in real life than online portrays. I had imagined about the size of a stove top espresso machine but it’s more the size of a travel kettle. It was too hot to drink straight away. She said to clean it either rinse it or heat water and fairy liquid for a deep clean. I got choc and latte sachets. She said it won’t use powdered chocolate- but surely you could heat the milk and then portion to the choc powder?
I’m really happy to have it. It’s a beautiful design. Hopefully it’ll last us well ☕️

Hi hope I’ve done this right 🫣 this is the contents of the bridal beauty festival vip bag. A quick google shows it’s very good value for the £30 price

@Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho I'd assume it will go on sale, it's not this year's new one and others from that line were on sale last year. We have 2 lambs still played with from last year 😁
