Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

@Famousthehero thank you - that was it. They do a set which is a pack of 4 different strengths so as long as they don't have a particularly strong prescription they should be okay.

I have this one. You can buy extra plates for it to use as a waffle maker or panini press. The removable plates make for easy cleaning too.

Hot wheels race crate- folds up and has 4 tracks so cars can race simultaneously. One of my sons used to be obsessed but has outgrown and I have it away of you could have had mine! The crate is in smyths for £49.99 and currently £5 off £50. I still have a massive bag of hot wheels track in the loft so I’ll have a look and see if I can find any flags- happy for you to have them if I find any!

@YeahWellWhyNot the hot wheels crate someone mentioned is on FB marketplace up and down the country if you're into second hand! We have a selection toys set up ready to go on the morning of the 25th so always get away without things being boxed (or wrapped!!). Helps keep the budget down.

@YeahWellWhyNot i recently bought my son a hot wheels set off Toydip after seeing recommended on one of the prequel threads. You can build it different ways with up to 4 tracks. Just checked & they no longer seem to have the one I got but there are other sets on there at reduced prices so might be worth keeping an eye on the site

Sorry I'm here with a request......has anyone bought one of the digital photos frames that family can send photos to and would you recommend? I'm thinking it could be a good gift for my parents as they love pictures of the grandkids and my brother lives far away so if I could get him to share pictures of his son too my Mum would love it!

@beetr00 Ahh thank you for looking, I've been keeping an eye on that for a while. Despite it saying it's in stock, every single time I've been in there's been nothing there and staff have said they haven't had them for a while 😔

My parents bought this one for my Nan. Easy to set up (my dad did it and he’s alright at that sort of stuff but not amazing) all of the family now have an app we use to send photos to the frame. My Nan has to just remember to stop switching it off 🙈 can do short videos as well.

We got an Aura one for my nan for her birthday. She was 87 and has everything so it's great.
So much so that we (DH and I) and my aunt and uncle are going to be getting one for Christmas each.
They are great and you can either do a bulk upload or just a few at a time.
My little boy loves watching the pictures rotate at Nana's house. Xx

I have bought three or four times from this website and really recommend. We have the walnut stag place names, some geometric animals, hug buttons and some signs and all have been perfectly packaged and great quality. There is a sale on some bits atm which are great for Christmas.

I was going to say the same! We have a Cuisinart sandwich/waffle maker - the plates pop off to go into the dishwasher. Highly recommend!

I haven’t been in primark for a while but I know that they usually have mickey/Minnie and Disney Princess Christmas paper, have bought for the dc a few times from there. Try Asda too, sure I’ve got some from there before.
