Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. Home Bargains have some Mickey Mouse wrapping paper if you have one nearby. I'm sure Asda usually have Disney Princess wrapping paper too

Does anyone remember (some years ago!) a previous idea of ultra flat glasses that fitted on a phone case?

Also - looking for individual sachets of peanut butter. Can find jam / butter / honey but no peanut butter!

Has anyone any ideas for a good hot wheels track where you can race multiple cars against one another? I bought a bargain hot wheels roll out raceway from vinted, was over the moon and then it arrived without the 1-5 place flags 😔 that's a big thing that I know my boys would be excited about. Can't seem to get spares anywhere and can't justify the £41 on Amazon for another one! They're £35 on eBay.

Most hot wheels track seem to be for 1 car. Budget - as cheap as possible!!

@YeahWellWhyNot it's not much cheaper but it is £28.99 on Smyths. Not ideal obviously when you have already purchased. Hope you can find some spare flags

@SnowJamz i saw some in Ryman the other day, it was all reduced to about 75p a roll (no idea why)

One of my lovely son in laws would like a toasted sandwich maker. Can anyone recommend one? Thinking of making up a silly hamper with lovely bread and different cheeses / hams and pickles to go with the sandwich maker.....Thanks!

Little boxes of Guylian seahorses in B&M 79p I think you get four (seahorse men of the festivepocalypse)

For sachets of peanut butter, you could treat yourself to a premier inn breakfast and take some home, they always have peanut butter , Nutella and golden syrup at the one near me (and I always leave with some stashed in my bag). Morrisons is the only place I can think that has mini jars of jams and honeys but don’t think I’ve ever seen peanut butter.
