Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Might be a good shout if you are a few sho insulated cups/bottles/food containers
The code BUY2GET1 gives you the third one free. I have only tried it on full priced things.

PurpleSkittle · 27/09/2024 17:12

Can non-Vodaphone people use the Gruum deal if they get a code? If so, how??

PurpleSkittle · 27/09/2024 17:13

Someone has kindly sent me a code which will expire soon and I can't work out how to use it! And would obviously pass it on if it's not possible for me to use it....

Sallylovesdaisy · 27/09/2024 17:15

@PurpleSkittle please can I be in the queue for the Gruum code if you can't use it. Thank you

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 17:26

@PurpleSkittle just posted the link above

LadyPene · 27/09/2024 17:27

I popped into The Works today and really pleased with these finds, a lovely tray bake cookbook for £3, and some reduced puzzle books for £1 or £2. They are also have some available online. Dunelm also had/has lots of lovely water bottles and lunch boxes reduced. I sometimes do water bottle filled with sweets as a party gift.

LadyPene · 27/09/2024 17:30

Attaching the photo would help......I also saw a Robert IRL in a charity shop. I've only been on these threads a couple of years, but instantly recognised (I think).

@Ilovepugs2017 Thanks so much! I just managed it using that link before the code would have expired. Really appreciate it, I was going round in circles 😅

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 17:35

@PurpleSkittle no worries glad I could help! I ordered mine earlier today - looking forward to getting it! 😍

YeahWellWhyNot · 27/09/2024 17:37

My gruum parcel was dispatched this afternoon. I'm really pleased! I may split it.

DirtyDensDog · 27/09/2024 17:37

Would anyone have a spare code for the Gruum offer please.

Any chance of a link for these? Can’t find them… thank you much 🙏

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 09:41

thanks for the benefit mascara code - debating whether to order though as reviews say it’s very smudgy due to a change in formula and people are ending up with panda eyes 🐼 anyone tried it?

This is definitely true. It used to my all time fave mascara but they've changed something and it's terrible now 😢 I emailed the company and they said nothing has changed and sent me a replacement but it was the same so I've had to stop using that mascara 😔

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 18:08

@welshgirl666 yes there were loads of reviews recently on boots website about it. Glad I missed the offer now!

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 18:11

@WineandDine if you scroll down on that link for the bit that says other sellers the £14.99 price should be there

YeahWellWhyNot · 27/09/2024 18:44

Massive thanks to the poster that pointed out the harry potter colour changing hot chocolate at b&m, I managed to snap up one for each house today, they're £2 each and can be hung on the Christmas tree although I think I will add it to the stockings. I'm over the moon, but DS will be even more so! Harry potter hot chocolate

FilthyforFirth · 27/09/2024 19:04

Rymans have got some decent stuff in their less than half price section. Just got this HP set for my niece. Is £14.50 at amazon.

Some small bits like HP rubbers etc that might make good stocking fillers!

Anyone still needing a vodafone code for gruum? I ordered mine earlier but husband is a customer too

vfvm2nfgj7

Expires at 20.38pm

Clucket87 · 27/09/2024 19:50

Talking about Vodafone, does anybody remember where they did the Christmas stocking voucher for?
I didn't get them at the time, as we hadn't finished having babies, but as my youngest was born on the 21st December, I feel like the time is right to get them.
I remember looking but have no recollection of the company name.
