Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

If anyone looking for a Frozen gift, these were in Waitrose this morning for £10. Normally around £20. Not massive but much bigger than a Polly pocket so good value. I grabbed my niece one ❄

Magic Mixies genie lamp is £20 on amazon. I think it's usually about £35 (though the price is listed at £59.99 🤨). It has a slow dispatch date, bit I often find things are dispatched more quickly and if not you can always cancel without charge.

I was a bit sceptical about that bargain as Notino are known for sometimes selling fakes and out of date products, but I have thoroughly checked the packaging and contents against original items and I'm fairly certain they are genuine sets. Great little gift.

Some decent offers on Boots gift sets at the moment (circa 50% off). Picked up a bumper Penguin men's set for DH reduced from £40 to £19.99.

I feel bad for posting the Hot Wheels RC Tiger Shark 'bargain' now. Mine arrived today and it is disappointingly small. Definitely not main present size, so apologies to anyone who may have ordered one on my recommendation!

Apologies for derailing but I need some advice! Im sure ive seen people in the past have similar issues with Sports Direct.

Sports Direct have ignored all of my emails, the live chat customer service last week have said someone will be in contact but sadly still waiting.
Ordered some clothing, they sent incorrect item so obviously returned for a refund. Automated email from Sports Direct saying they have received the returned item on 16th August but they still haven't issued the refund and customer service is shocking. Can anyone advise on what to do please? Paid for using the Fraser Plus service, they have been unhelpful and refused to help in any sort of way.

@Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowhoim really sorry but i think your money has gone forever… I bought a pair of expensive trainers in a bundle of other stuff the trainers weren’t in the order but SD said they were I’ve still not had a refund or money back a year later. Honestly they are such a rubbish company and I’d never buy online from them again.
