This megablocks Paw Patrol rocky figure was £2.50 yesterday in my local Home Bargains. In the aisle with other Paw Patrol merch. Didn't think too much of this until I started looking for some of the other figures online and realise how much they usually cost! This is £11.99 on amazon currently and even on Vinted they seem to be minimum £6 second hand. Worth a look if you live near a Home Bargains. It's megablocks but compatible with duplo. We've been mixing the pieces up.

Don't suppose they had any of the other pups by any chance? (My Paw patrol obsessed 3yo has a couple of favourite pups but not Rocky!)

Only spotted Rocky in the Megablocks unfortunately. It took some convincing to get my three year old to go for this instead of the large £7.99 Marshall plastic truck. 😂

Please can someone shout if LF or similar do a beauty box? Early last year from this thread there was one for £10 or £15 which was excellent- basically a full make up set except foundation in a clear cosmetics bag.
I'll keep looking and post but just in case anyone beats me to it!

Dee1224 · 15/02/2024 19:13

Nice box of things, @Famousthehero - thanks for sharing the link.

Unfortunately the ghastly ‘poem’ on the lid is putting me off, especially as I would be getting it for myself 😹

Famousthehero · 15/02/2024 20:15

Ha @Dee1224 I hadn’t noticed the poem, you’re right it is a real stinker 👎

RainbowZebraWarrior · 15/02/2024 20:19

This Next Beauty Lovers box is great value, I think. I've had a few of them over the last year or so and have been happy with all of them.

ETA £22

Mega House of Fraser order is in, thanks everyone for your help!!

Trying to find some bargain perfume at the moment, it's only for me so doesn't need to be nicely boxed etc... I used to buy from directcosmetics.com but they don't seem to be any cheaper than Boots etc at the moment. Vinted seems about the same price or only slightly cheaper too Confused

WH Smith has £5 off orders of £25 or more with code EXTRA5 until the end of Monday - not all products are eligible though so please do check!

Partypartypartybag · 16/02/2024 12:31

I'm looking for a birthday gift for a 5 year old, around £10, which is either Frozen related, hair stuff or kids play make up/nail varnish if anyone has any bargain suggestions please?! Thank you!

nicky2512 · 16/02/2024 13:24

What size are the kids oodies please? I would be tempted at that price for a niece - quite slight nine year old?

MyLifeMyChoices · 16/02/2024 13:35

Smyths has lots of Polly pocket toys on buy one get one half price and a number are reduced to £8 to start without

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 16/02/2024 13:54

Gruum have another couple of winter offers on

hby9628 · 16/02/2024 14:55

@nicky2512 my DD is a small 9.yo and it's fine on her. The arms are a bit long but as they are cuffed they are okay.

nicky2512 · 16/02/2024 16:12

@hby9628 thats perfect thank you.

Ewock · 16/02/2024 18:13

Bit random but does anyone have any recommendations for an online sweet delivery? My dsis has been very poorly so we want to send her some retro sweets. Thanks

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 16/02/2024 18:27

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl For perfume I usually find allbeauty.com have the best prices and usually a Topcash Back offer available too.

Callipygion · 16/02/2024 20:10

Can anyone remind me what were those false nails that were being raved about on here before Christmas?

My nails are in a poor state and I need something tasteful in a nice pale pink for a wedding.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 16/02/2024 20:11

Thanks @TheWeeDonkeyFella, I will take a look!

Have you tried A Quarter Of @Ewock - they've always been good when I've ordered before?

@Partypartypartybag Matalan has a couple of bits including an Elsa sweatshirt & leggings set?

Or Sainsburys also has some items!

Thank you for the suggestions, I always forget about Matalan for kids clothes!

@Callipygion was it Lily and Fox, they're nail stickers? I bought a few sets and really not impressed. Peeled off so quickly, within 12 hours, maybe i didnt apply them correctly though. I personally wouldn't recommend them but a few people on here really liked them.

I'm currently wearing a set of lily and fox - my first set came off immediately though (just the glitter ones though, the other ones stayed on! Even more annoying haha). Second set lasted a few days. Third set currently on two weeks! Some tips if you want them:

I cut the sticker to the length of my nail rather than filing them. I also use a silicone nail tool once I've put them on to make sure I push out any air bubbles and get a firm stick. I prep my nail with a thorough clean with nail varnish remover/push back cuticles/trim hang nails etc. Then I've also been using a top coat (nothing fancy). So far they're lasting well even doing a serious clean, and much cheaper than the moyou ones I'd been using (loved them, but half of the ones I used must have been exposed to heat as they were almost fully cured instead of semi cured)
