sorryiasked · 05/12/2023 20:16

Not chocolate but Aldi have the swizzle tubs for £3.49

WimbyAce · 05/12/2023 20:17

Has anyone got any kind of Lakeland code please?

I have a request for anyone that may be able to help!

Secret Santa gift required, £40 max, recipient is MIL.

She's absolutely amazing but has such specific tastes.

I thought perhaps cashmere gloves but she has quite big hands, always freezing cold regardless of weather, loves the white company, not into makeup, general skincare, perfumes etc.

No vouchers as she always gets them. 😩

Turtle Dove cashmere wrist warmers?

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 05/12/2023 20:26

@Mytribeof3 I ordered large bags of hot chocolate from The Chocolate Society and they came within 2 days.
I’ve been using them for the last three years and on one occasion had to contact them with a problem and it was resolved quickly. Hopefully yours won’t be long.

Famousthehero · 05/12/2023 20:37

Think £25 is the lowest I’ve seen the Barbie pegasus so far

no wait, I just googled and it looks like it’s £20 at Smyths

If you can stretch the budget to £45 (aaarrrgghhh) and had anything else to offset Brand Alley's shocking P&P charges they do have the most amazing shearling mittens in that I may have bought for a relative but am hankering after for myself. Incredibly soft, roomy for bigger hands...luxurious...ultimate treat kind of things. Think they still have navy and butterscotch colours.

Thank you, he wants to create images to print onto t shirts but we don’t have the printer set up either

VelvetThunder · 05/12/2023 20:50

Currently, Lidl is good to get Pokémon cards if they have any. Managed to get some yesterday for around £3 a pack and it was the set with the booster pack, metal coin and extra card.

TheCrow · 05/12/2023 20:51

@Hipponimous lidl had some in their middle aisle with the 50% off, it's the pack with one booster pack, a special card and a coin down to £3 instead of £6. Usually the booster packs are around £4.29 on their own. Also tesco had some on clubcard prices recently but not sure if their offer is still on, I'll repost the pic I took

@Callipygion I had the aldi velvetiser dupe from a couple of years ago, it had the same problem as loads of other people's where the heating element was burning the milk onto the bottom of the jug bit and I had to chuck it out. Hopefully they've listened to feedback and fixed the design this time

@coolpattern the heatpress is just a giant iron! What is he planning to transfer on to the tshirts? This is the key. It depends what sort of thing he wants to do. I use heat transfer vinyl which is easy for single colour but a bit of a faff if you want to do multiple colours as you have to cut each colours separately then put them together. You can buy printers to produce photo like pictures to transfer but they are quite pricy. Or you can upload designs for a transfer sheet to be printed and sent to you.

Lots of options - have a look here and ask him what he wants to do as that will dictate what he needs. https://printify.com/blog/how-to-make-shirts-at-home/

Thank you for this, I replied above but forgot to quote @handmademitlove

TheCrow · 05/12/2023 20:54

B&M had these sets down to £5 from £15- hatching Dino eggs, neon colouring and tattoo style scratch art. In a basket near the front door in our branch

Thanks for replying. I emailed them last Friday as I hadn't heard from them with a dispatch update or anything and they replied saying that it would be sent this week. Feeling a little frustrated as it is almost 2 weeks now since I placed the order.

dramalamma · 05/12/2023 21:14

Sorry I'm all about the requests tonight - does anyone have a suggestion for a good Chocolate fountain for a 7 year old (tho quite matrie and a good cook so doesn't have to be a babyish one - but also not super complicated/lots of parts. Thanks in advance if anyone has seen a good deal or has one they would recommend at home.

jamrolypolyandcustard · 05/12/2023 21:15

Just to those that previously mentioned, do the turtle doves fingerless cashmere gloves live up to the hype? I've been to-ing and fro-ing over them for MIL secret Santa. She's always cold, wears gloves all the time but wander if these will be of any use.

Mummypete · 05/12/2023 21:16

Very pleased with my trip to Lidl. Really nice 1,500 piece puzzles down to £2.50! Now I just need to think of some recipients for them…

slithytoveisascientist · 05/12/2023 21:18

@boobybum thank you again your code saved me £24 which is brilliant

They are fantastic - I get really cold and they work like magic for me - and much easier to wear than full gloves

Mine for my mum arrived yesterday and they are gorgeous. Can't see how they are seconds- they are a lovely pale grey colour and have the tag x

VeruccaSalty · 05/12/2023 21:33

Sorry just catching up on thread now. The craft gin box (SPOILER) was a special christmas gin with four bottles of mixer and a little bottle of syrup then a bunch of random snacks. The offer was a Vodafone code that took 60% off the first subscription box. I cant find code now, perhaps someone else has it to hand?

Also what about rechargeable hand warmers for the ladies with the cold hands? There were some on offer a few threads back.

I’ve been umming and erring over a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser (due to the price [gulp]). I see Aldi have what appears to be their version coming on sale later this week at around £20 (I think, or might have been £30). Anyway, has anyone bought one before, and is it any good?

Got on a few years ago absolute waste of money. It's just an electric whisk of milk! Total hype

Scout2016 · 05/12/2023 21:56

Oh help! I have gone down a Jellycat Bunny hole. Does anyone have the definitive answer please to what the very smallest silver bashful bunny is please? Google tells me it's called tiny or baby and is 13cm, but I can't find anywhere that sells one that small except rattles/ sewn to to comforters. Smallest I can find is 18cm.
