M&S Sparks 12 Days of Christmas

Anyone fancy a Sparks 12 Days of Christmas thread?

I'm waiting up till midnight to see what my first offering is. There are the usual suspects on the advertising image (percy pigs, looks like a hand cream, wine etc) There are some canny prizes up for grabs by the looks of things, but there are sure to be some duds as well!

Here we go. I'll show you mine, you show me yours!!

I also quite like the slippers. As in, my 7 year old self would have worn them. When you guys were alluding to ugly, pink slippers I was imagining what I used to call milk man slippers as worn in the 1970s like this.

Rainbow..I had slippers like that when I was younger as well ....as in 50 years ago younger 😂!

They are just calling out for twisted ankle injuries now !! 😂😂

User136921 · 05/12/2023 12:49

Those slippers are children's, they are quite nice, you can get Colin ones as well.

User136921 · 05/12/2023 12:53

I sprained my foot in some slippers, my foot half came out and I sort of fell over the slipper, with my foot still half in, I had to wear Crocs for about a month because of the swelling. I only wear very sensible Ugg moccasins now

APurpleSquirrel · 05/12/2023 13:31

20% off slippers for me too - still no freebies. JL was headphones or something.
Went in M&S today to collect my onesie order (used the 20% off nightwear for that) & got a box of biscuits with the 20% off. You need your read which ones are included though.

Doubleraspberry · 05/12/2023 14:26

One of my lot is obsessed with Percy Pig so we have Percy every-bloody-thing including slippers. Nightwear of various types, clothing, bedding...

Oh, now they're really stylish! I think I had something similar decades ago.

Scaredycatofrodents · 05/12/2023 17:05

I had milk man slippers years aho and thought they were very sophisticated 😂

Ah yes, I have just realised that no one on here has won a ‘big’ M&S prize yet. I do know someone who got the gin last year, so the odds last year must have been reasonable for a good win. Maybe, just maybe, there might be a nice surprise further down the line for a few of us🤞

Meanwhile, I am taking a masochistic pleasure in the hilarious uselessness of JL’s effort! The one day only to make a huge purchase like a sofa bed is still tickling me and DH!

I got a gin on the first day last year, and a light up tea thingy. This yr only panettone, and discount off stuff i dont buy!

OneFrenchEgg · 05/12/2023 18:29

Well I've just caved and bought some Ugg style slippers as I always want to leave my real Ugg's on. See also: biscuits 😳

toprump · 05/12/2023 18:43

Has anyone had more than one prize yet? I got something on the first day and just wondered if it's still worth checking each day.

I’d be interested to know too, I thought you would win one free item and money off items. I didn’t hear of anyone winning more than one free item last year.

Has anyone successfully located the Random Bits Of Poor Colin yet? Oxford Street not only didn't seem to have any, they hadn't even heard of them!

theresnoonequitelikegrandma · 05/12/2023 19:39

I got a freebie today! 🥳🥳. Nice room spray - and I actually managed to collect it! Last year the only thing I 'won' (tree lights) was never in stock so I'm very over excited!

Ocani · 05/12/2023 19:52

I'm quite chuffed about the money off slippers because DS 1 (a massive 6'2 19 yo who slouches around in various black hoodies and grunts a lot) has expressed an interest in the m&s fluffy character ones so that's a score for Santa.

I feel a bit sad about Colin's bits scattered across the land with no one able to retrieve them.

Nottogetapenny · 05/12/2023 20:16

Today, I picked up the pair of mens novelty socks from my day 1 calendar!

MeinKraft · 05/12/2023 20:21

bizzey · 05/12/2023 12:38

I got a free tree decoration.
FEEEEEE !!
I have finally got something for Free!!! 😂....

Now , is it worth it to venture out to a RL shop , which is completely out of my way to get it ?? !!

No because by the sounds of things they won't have it in stock Grin

bizzey · 05/12/2023 20:33

Well I can't now 😂!

Ally laughing about the "Milk man slippers " has come back to bite me on the bum !!

While upstairs earlier.. with no slippers on at all ....I managed to stub my toe and it is flippin painful 😂😂😂 !

Be lucky to get my shoes on tomorrow anyhow 😂😂😂

fishfingersandchipsagain · 05/12/2023 20:38

Two of the offers I had were a free hanging decoration, and 1/3 off decorations.

So I took the kids into M&S and we chose 3 hanging decorations. I expected that we would have got the most expensive one free, and 1/3 off the other two. Prices of the ones chosen were £10, and two at £5. (Massively overpriced!). So I expected to pay £6.66 in total.

We actually got the cheapest one free and no other discount. So I had to pay £15. Thanks M&S 🙄

There's no way I would have intentionally paid £15 for three baubles, but I didn’t want to disappoint the kids after we made the trip and chose them.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 05/12/2023 21:03

Arteza's Day 2 is 30% off craft acrylic paint.

Sallyingon · 05/12/2023 21:17

Free pastry for me today woo hoo! Will definitely be visiting tomorrow for that and will get some wrapping paper with my 20% off voucher from the other day.

youngestisapsycho · 05/12/2023 21:20

Just seen this thread…
day 1 = free decoration (got myself a mini Dawn French!)
day 2 - 30% off homeware/decs
day 3 - 20% off nightwear
day 4 - 20% off biscuit box
day 5 - 20% off slippers

catwithflowers · 05/12/2023 21:37

The store I went to today didn't have my free Christmas cake slices 🙄. I'll try another store tomorrow as I'm in the area anyway. I've actually used two discount vouchers on things I would have bought anyway, some pyjamas and a box of chocolate biscuits, both 20% off.
