M&S Sparks 12 Days of Christmas

Anyone fancy a Sparks 12 Days of Christmas thread?

I'm waiting up till midnight to see what my first offering is. There are the usual suspects on the advertising image (percy pigs, looks like a hand cream, wine etc) There are some canny prizes up for grabs by the looks of things, but there are sure to be some duds as well!

Here we go. I'll show you mine, you show me yours!!

10% off a truffle tin.

1 day left and I'm not hopeful.

I know the person who worked there said at the start of the thread that everyone would get something. Some getting decent, multiple freebies, though? I suppose I have to think of it like a raffle or whatever. Totally random, luck of the draw.

Do you mean these posts (page 10)?

PickleSmith · 01/12/2023 14:23

Everyone will get one - just one - free gift. It includes Percy's, socks, truffles, a poinsettia, net of satsumas, Prosecco, Buck's Fizz. It's just one per sparks card - the other 11 windows will generally be discounts

I know this because I work there. And seriously people, do you actually expect a physical gift every single day? From a shop?

Like the beauty advent calendar threads, these posts annoy me sometimes as posters just whinge and moan.

PickleSmith · 01/12/2023 14:24

But you can all calm down because you will ALL get ONE physical item.

Has anybody had socks yet? Is that what they're saving for Day 12?

Sallyingon · 11/12/2023 11:08

15% off cheese for me today.

catwithflowers · 11/12/2023 11:46

I'm hoping for the cheese discount tomorrow! 🧀

JanetheObscure · 11/12/2023 11:54

To the poster who says that everyone will have one free gift - I've had two! Hand cream on day 1 and Emma Bridgwater poinsettia yesterday. I only had one last year, though it was prosecco. Have I just been lucky?

jamrolypolyandcustard · 11/12/2023 12:05

My mums had free socks on day 1, then a tub of mini bites on day 8.
DP had chocolate coins and a pack of mince pies.
So far I've had discounts, no freebies. I'm the only one that shops there and scans the app, DP only has it for the 12 days (asked him to download for extra freebies) and my mum always forgets to scan so never bothers!

Tomorrow better be a good one, free turkey or something! 😂

lingmerth · 11/12/2023 12:07

Picked up my ground coffee freebie today. Don't know much about coffee except what comes in a jar. Disappointed that it only has instructions for a cafetière. Can I make a cup of coffee with it?
Used my 20% discount on biscuits but only discounted one box. It does say on T&C this but I had to get a few boxes so again a bit disappointed.

AnotherOne4 · 11/12/2023 12:07

Free mince pies for me (this is my second freebie, first was a packet of Percy Pigs)

SleeptightDaisy · 11/12/2023 12:58

Disappointed, I used the pyjamas discount to get a onesie and then two children's pyjama sets from the 2 for £16 only for m&s to cancel over of the pyjamas which meant I now had to pay full price for the one set. The pyjamas they cancelled are still available on the website but I can't use the advent discount again as it's a one time use.

That's truly crap. Can you do a Web chat with them or something?

Finally got my free room spray from day 1, didn't get to choose though they just had one type behind the counter, luckily it was one I liked. Also got a free tin of Percy pigs. DH got chocolate coins last week. I also used the pyjama discount so not too bad all in all. Not as good as last year though I got a free tin of biscuits and a bottle of gin, ndn present cost £0

AntiquePancakes · 11/12/2023 14:31

Not really related, but has anyone got the biscuit tin with the projector light? I cannot for the life of me can see how the light works. It states there's a button under the dome but there isn't!

I got one last year and it never bloody worked.

For what it's worth though, the switch was under the bottom of the tin, not under the dome if that makes any sense.

Tomorrow has a lot of pressure on it as I've had two shite years in a row.

Hand cream my store didn't have last year and chocolate coins this year. No gin, no tins of anything.

@SleeptightDaisy Definitely worth a phone call or live chat with customer service. I have found them to be really helpful in the past (I don't work for them!).

Crunchymum · 11/12/2023 16:41

10% off presse today, oh joy!

User136921 · 11/12/2023 16:46

I used my 20% off frozen today, saved about £6.50 on just over £30 so pleased with that. Hoping for the cheese % off tomorrow, had two freebies so not expecting a lot now, Overall been good.

Nearlyadoctor · 11/12/2023 17:00

I’ve been lucky and had 2 freebies, hand cream on day one, and Prosecco yesterday.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 11/12/2023 17:52

I've made a part two thread, as this one is likely to run out tonight.

Oh, the suspense of the last chance saloon. Will it be 10% off sausages, or will it be a highly prized bottle of booze?

beansoup · 11/12/2023 19:59

happily tucking into florentines this evening ... could be tempted to buy a poinsettia having seen them in our M&S today!

Snap! You’re my advent twin! I’m especially thrilled with the Emma Bridgewater poinsettia as I was actually planning to buy one. I’ve also used a few of the discount codes (flowers/wine/slippers) so I have personally enjoyed the M&S 12 days of Christmas event. John Lewis, on the other hand…

AllisColm · 11/12/2023 20:04

They had no Prosecco when I went in to claim mine . Boo!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/12/2023 20:16

15% off M&S Cheese here .

Tomorrow is the last one so waiting to see what they throw into the ring .

Me too, I also had the hand cream on day one and the poinsettia yesterday, I dashed down yesterday afternoon to get the poinsettia in case they sold out and would have bought one anyway.
