M&S Sparks 12 Days of Christmas

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 30/11/2023 23:30

Anyone fancy a Sparks 12 Days of Christmas thread?

I'm waiting up till midnight to see what my first offering is. There are the usual suspects on the advertising image (percy pigs, looks like a hand cream, wine etc) There are some canny prizes up for grabs by the looks of things, but there are sure to be some duds as well!

Here we go. I'll show you mine, you show me yours!!

Well, that was a great waste of time. I had to go to the w/s, not the app, sign in again, be told to download the app (duh) & then be told by the w/s that my offer is...

drumroll...

20% off wrap & cards

I bought cards from my regular charity ages ago, & I no longer wrap any presents. I'd much rather Sparks just gave me better prices in-store or money off things I actually buy regularly.

TitInATrance · 01/12/2023 15:42

Free handcream, choice of scents.

PickleSmith · 01/12/2023 15:51

Sorry OP! I was being a bit of a twat

Dee1224 · 01/12/2023 15:56

Hi all,

Neither my Morrisons app nor Sainsbury’s are showing me a 12 day promotion. Does know where it is in the site or how I can get it to appear?

Thanks

MadisonAvenue · 01/12/2023 15:58

WhatNoUsername · 01/12/2023 15:28

I got a hand cream. No good to me as I have a fragrance allergy. Would rather the 20% off wrap!

I also got the same last year and thought I'd get it anyway and give it as a gift but when I went to store they didn't have any. I understand that happened to loads of people so just seems a bit annoying and pointless. If they are giving stuff away they need to make sure stores have plenty in stock.

The most expensive item I’ve ever found in the 12 days is a bottle of bucks fizz a couple of years ago and that was out of stock when I went to redeem the offer. I thought the same, that they should have more than enough stock to cope with demand but then again I suppose they think/hope that you’ll see something else to buy while you’re in the store.

toprump · 01/12/2023 16:04

I got a 30ml perfume. I got one in my M&S advent calendar last year and it was lovely, so I'm pleased with that. (Just hope I don't choose one that's in this year's advent calendar as I refuse to peek ahead!)

User136921 · 01/12/2023 16:08

The best one to get is Percy Pigs because you know they will always be in stock, I won't go down until at least Monday for my hand cream because the shopping mall is always so busy at the weekend

Totalwidlak · 01/12/2023 16:12

How do you access the Boots one? It’s not showing on my account..

RainbowZebraWarrior · 01/12/2023 16:14

Sorry OP! I was being a bit of a twat

No worries, pickle. You were still really helpful 😊

Free percy pigs. Result!

35965a · 01/12/2023 16:24

20% off wrapping paper, how garbage

timetorefresh · 01/12/2023 16:27

A free reed diffuser. Asthma attack in a box for me

SheBangsTheDrumsSR · 01/12/2023 16:31

A free 100ml room spray. Not a bad start. Will probably be pants from now on 😂

RainbowZebraWarrior · 01/12/2023 16:31

timetorefresh · 01/12/2023 16:27

A free reed diffuser. Asthma attack in a box for me

Would be the same for me. If I get one, it will have to be gifted. I don't even know what I'd like, ideally (assuming I could choose) No to diffuser or perfume, I don't drink. A food offer would be good.

Doubleraspberry · 01/12/2023 16:37

I positively enjoy the crapness of many of the offers. It brings me joy, genuinely. I’m not even fussed about free stuff particularly although I like the fragrances so that would be nice.

vjg13 · 01/12/2023 16:40

Free 30ml Apothecary diffuser for me too.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 01/12/2023 16:45

PickleSmith · 01/12/2023 14:23

Everyone will get one - just one - free gift. It includes Percy's, socks, truffles, a poinsettia, net of satsumas, Prosecco, Buck's Fizz. It's just one per sparks card - the other 11 windows will generally be discounts

I know this because I work there. And seriously people, do you actually expect a physical gift every single day? From a shop?

Like the beauty advent calendar threads, these posts annoy me sometimes as posters just whinge and moan.

The only point in having the sparks card is to whinge and moan. It's exceptionally crap. I.mean come on, the last freebie I got was a paper bag.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 01/12/2023 16:47

ifIwerenotanandroid · 01/12/2023 14:43

Where is it on the phone app? All I can see is 'Sparks offers... New offers (0)... Added offers (0)'. Underwhelming, to say the least.

Spare a thought for those who have no offers this Christmas shakes collecting tin.

Click on the new offers. It doesn't have a number.

savingmysanity · 01/12/2023 16:49

Free reed diffuser - straight to a raffle.or similar!

WhatNoUsername · 01/12/2023 17:10

@MadisonAvenue

Yes I suspect they just want to draw you into the store regardless of whether or not they have stock! They need to watch it though as if people just think they'll be no stock they just won't bother. I am not sure I can be arsed to go in this year given last years experience. If it happens again I won't bother with the advent at all next year. It's only exciting if you think you'll actually be able to get the item "won"!! 😀

friskybivalves · 01/12/2023 18:18

Well I went to get my free diffuser (£6 worth) and I am super happy with it. Also bought a phases of the moon choc advent to supplement DS lego one (educational, right?), more mince pipes, two bottles of milk...oh and some boots as I was passing. So yup, well worth the enticement from the M&S marketing POV!!

WhatICallMyUsername · 01/12/2023 18:26

@PickleSmith just out of interest is it completely random? I have no actual M&S near me apart from food halls so anything other than a food/alcohol based freebie is useless to me! Last year I got a free Percy Pig cushion but couldn't redeem it!

AngeloMysterioso · 01/12/2023 18:36

I’ll admit I’m a bit disappointed at having the exact same slightly rubbish freebie as last year. I spend a bloody fortune in M&S so Prosecco or even a reed diffuser would have been nice

PickleSmith · 01/12/2023 18:47

@WhatICallMyUsername yes, completely random. It will not be based on your spend previously or how often you use your card

The regular offers however have an element of personalisation to them and are based on what you buy - along with what they want to shift!

PickleSmith · 01/12/2023 18:48

@WhatICallMyUsername and yep - absolutely it's to draw you into store. You'll come to collect your free bag of Colin's or whatever and you'll end up buying bits and pieces
