M&S Sparks 12 Days of Christmas

Anyone fancy a Sparks 12 Days of Christmas thread?

I'm waiting up till midnight to see what my first offering is. There are the usual suspects on the advertising image (percy pigs, looks like a hand cream, wine etc) There are some canny prizes up for grabs by the looks of things, but there are sure to be some duds as well!

Here we go. I'll show you mine, you show me yours!!

Got a 30ml bottle of Discover fragrance. Never used it before but will give it a whirl if I can find it in store. Probably the best it will get, I don’t think I got any more decent ones after the first day last time.

Ha! That's what happened to me last year. Lovely hand cream followed by ... a pile of shite🤣

This year I've got the utterly pathetic 20% off wrapping paper, so something good still to come. I like to be optimistic.

Dear God, I hope not.

Everyone will get one - just one - free gift. It includes Percy's, socks, truffles, a poinsettia, net of satsumas, Prosecco, Buck's Fizz. It's just one per sparks card - the other 11 windows will generally be discounts

I know this because I work there. And seriously people, do you actually expect a physical gift every single day? From a shop?

Like the beauty advent calendar threads, these posts annoy me sometimes as posters just whinge and moan.

But you can all calm down because you will ALL get ONE physical item.

I got the hand cream, very pleased. I chose the rhubarb one which I have in a shower gel and love. Definite Molten Brown dupe IMO.

It's a light-hearted thread. You're being far too serious looking for offence here. Of course people are not expecting 12 free items but it's amusing to discuss what people get and some of the amusing discounts. If you don't like it you don't have to read it.

Where is it on the phone app? All I can see is 'Sparks offers... New offers (0)... Added offers (0)'. Underwhelming, to say the least.

Spare a thought for those who have no offers this Christmas shakes collecting tin.

I clicked on sparks and it was below my card. It was also on the home page of the app.

Don't go complaining though when you do find it, you're lucky their giving you anything. 😅

There's nothing under 'Shop' or 'Departments' & the only thing under my Sparks lack of offers is some blurb about the Woodland Trust.

I switched my phone on specifically to look for the 12 Days. Are you recommending something more drastic, like a factory reset? I'd do it for e.g. £1,000 but not for 20% off something I'm not going to buy.

@PickleSmith Why doesn't M&S love me? I nipped into a mini foodhall just this week for a pie & ended up spending £75. You're welcome.

I wonder if Ill actually get it as I heard last year most people claimed all the prizes where 'sold out' when they went to collect.

Anyway, I've checked and Gary Barlow isn't touring (except with Take That) so I think we are safe. Will be interesting to see what event there may be offers for. I've got Gruffalo on my Sparks at the minute.

No, but it's only until stocks last so you have to get in quick.

I got the one physical item last year but none of the three stores I went to had any in stock.
I also got money off something that wasn’t in stock.

I got 20% of gift wrap today.

I got a hand cream. No good to me as I have a fragrance allergy. Would rather the 20% off wrap!

I also got the same last year and thought I'd get it anyway and give it as a gift but when I went to store they didn't have any. I understand that happened to loads of people so just seems a bit annoying and pointless. If they are giving stuff away they need to make sure stores have plenty in stock.
