£20 gift for woman with expensive tastes

I need to buy a gift with approx £20 for a friend of my Mum's (who gives my Mum a lift to church each week).

The woman in question is always well dressed, wearing expensive accessories etc. She has a dog and gets involved in Am Dram but I don't know much about her.

Mum doesn't want to buy cake / biscuits as she knows her friend doesn't have a sweet tooth / eats like a bird.

What would you get?!?

A silk pillowcase or scarf.

wutheringkites · 26/11/2023 12:50

White Company scented candle (Winter is nice).

Plant from M&S

therealcookiemonster · 26/11/2023 13:26

expensive doesn't really describe taste though?

is she quirky? or more classic?

with £20 budget... something like gourmet spices or spice pastes... or nice tea (I like yumchaa for their tea blends), scented candles etc.

I'd love to receive those hand creams @noooooooo but they are around £30 not £20?

Can you get some loccitane hand creams for £20?

I saw a nice set of M&S hand creams for £10

agree silk pillowcase is a good idea, hand cream, hand wash, lip balm

expensive mascara if she wears it, as it’s something that needs replacing regularly.

Yes, their candles are lovely and make a great gift.

A silk pillowcase or scarf.

That’s a lovely idea!
A silk pillow case would be both luxurious and unusual

White company car scent diffuser £20

Talipesmum · 26/11/2023 15:04

Bottle of wine or a nice bunch of flowers (from a florists).

I know they’re popular but I’d just give away hand cream as I never use it and the scented ones make my nose shrivel up (even though I love scented shower gels). Might use a candle but I often don’t like the scents.
