Thread 13 - the one with the loot from Black Friday

1000 replies

Reastie · 25/11/2023 06:56

13 - unlucky for some. Let's hope it's very lucky for us!

I bought a couple of things in the Black Friday sales - an amazon stick (I'm pretty sure we couldn't just bought a smart tv by now with the amount we've got through as they break after a year or so) and noise cancelling headphones for DD. Hope you're all getting through the lists - December is fast upon us!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Amazon have got this Mongoose Helmet down to £4.99 for Black Friday. I've ordered one for DS as apparently this type of helmet is cooler than the one he has for scooting/skateboarding.

MrsChristiesChristmasCake · 27/11/2023 11:30

@TheHappiestChristmasTree the shipping costs £4.95 if you order two bracelets, one of which will be free. If you just order one free one then the shipping gets bumped up. But it's only £4.95 if you live in England or Wales! Scotland is twice the shipping price! Angry

FudgeSodaPops · 27/11/2023 11:24

@chocolateisavegetable Yes!! 😂

It’s making me panic thinking about what I might have missed and then having to begrudgingly pay full price when I remember next week 😩

If anyone likes Korean beauty products - COSRX have some good deals on Amazon atm and cheaper than ordering from YesStyle which is what I would normally do. I highly recommend this range.

COSRX

@FudgeSodaPops you have expressed it perfectly! 😅

I have even found myself ordering a couple of things that I will make a final decision on once they arrive. I’ve been caught out before by “being good” and then having to pay inflated prices later.

I’m not being offered a free bracelet with two in my basket. Just free shipping. Removing the shipping code still doesn’t get me a free bracelet.

I added the free one from the link upthread, then added another £9 one. The postage then goes down to £4.95. I also added the code DUDA20 and managed to get 2 for £12.15 delivered.

yoshiblue · 27/11/2023 11:48

@prettyguineapig I have a £7 off £75 code. DM me if you still need it

chocolateisavegetable · 27/11/2023 11:49

Little tip for Amazon which might help with the FOMO twitching - today I will place an order for some items on BF offer but I’m not 100% sure on - but I shall select a Prime delivery day of next Monday. Then it gives me time to have a think about whether I actually want all the items with plenty of time to cancel if I don’t, but I don’t risk missing out on the BF offers

Bsgetty · 27/11/2023 11:58

Hi, tween DD has asked for a smart digital watch that looks like a fitness tracker (the slim/bracelet design ones). She is about the size of a 10 year old, with small wrists, but wants something grown up looking, in black.
It can be a normal watch or a fitness tracker, but not one that connects to a phone.

Has anyone seen anything like that? I’ve been searching but can only find ones that need a phone, or don’t look smart, or are too big, so not sure that what I’m looking for actually exists?!

Looking for any offers on Chanel Allure perfume?

The best place I can think of is John Lewis - I think its20% off but ends today

1stTimeMama · 27/11/2023 12:06

@FreeFromChoc They're £119 on Allsole, plus there's 12% Toocashback is you're a new Allsole customer, making them just under £105. I've bought myself some!

Mads96 · 27/11/2023 12:07

Any good rotary shavers about? 😊 looking for my dad, budget of £20

FreeFromChoc · 27/11/2023 12:19

Thank you for all the messages re Dr Martens 1460 for my daughter. She needs a size 6, I looked on Allsole but they’re sold out in her size. It’s such a shame as with TCB as well they would have been a great price!

Does anyone else know where else I can look please? I wish I’d had some advance notice but she just told me and now I’m just looking everywhere and stressing about getting them 😩

Still looking for a heated throw. None in store in the Lidl or Aldi stores I looked in, sp back to the drawing board.

It's for DS1's gf who is freezing in her student flat, poor thing. £50 budget. Thanks.

I looked at so many! Lakeland and Dreamland seemed best from the reviews so I went for a Dreamland Sherpa lined one and it’s lovely and warm even without being switched on.

Just checked Lakeland and they have some really good deals ending today. Need to stop myself buying another 😁

If anyone is brave enough to risk ordering with Claires, they have 60% off and an extra 25% off stacking code - CM2023, and a free gift on spends over £25.

Thanks for this! Don't forget 10% topcashback stacks too! (popped my referral code in the referral thread) Managed to get a couple of things for daughters stocking and I had £15 club points so if my cashback tracks I'll have actually made money win win

Arewesureitisntbedtime · 27/11/2023 12:34

@FreeFromChoc I haven't used this company but presuming they are the right boots, Legend Footwear have a size 6 for £104.60. They are on trust pilot with a score of 4.1 and are also on Top Cashback.

dancemom · 27/11/2023 12:34

I apologise if I am repeating an offer, but I don’t recall seeing it already.

Emma Bridgewater have a Black Friday sale on almost everything (25%), and an extra 25% with the code CMEM25. Plus, there is free delivery!

Thank you, just got a personalised mug down from £46 to £25.88!

Did anyone who ordered the reduced Levis t-shirt on Amazon actually receive it? Mine is apparently missing...

I got mine

Are these them? I bought DMs from schuh before. Think they have a 12mth return policy too

I've only used their Co- wash cleansing conditioner so far (good option for anyone using expensive ones!) but Noughty has an 80% off sale with free shipping with code Purple-Free-Shipping

https://lovenoughty.co.uk/collections/purple-friday?utmsource=2023%20-%20Black%20Friday%20-%20Purchased%20During%20Event&utmmmedium=email&utmcampaign=202331127%20-%20BFCM%20-%20Cyber%20Monday%20-%20Purchasers%20%2801HG6R1HF39Y20DQZRH2M9305S%29&_kx=QCCBPBVW7HkCfNaOt0MwTt77qQnxKqzVjEFB-g0Bb44%3D.SSaFhg

They've got loads of creams and body stuff reduced to under £2 which look great for stocking fillers. Finishes midnight tonight.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 27/11/2023 12:46

I got the £53.99 sherpa one last week and can confirm it's lovely! I have a £5 off a £30+ spend if that's any use to anyone (I used the £10 one) Use by date is 30 November. PM me if wanted.
