Personally I'd avoid the fire tablets they are so slow, there's no external storage and just end up being frustrating.

The newer ones do have external storage. We've had the 10 for 2 years and the 8 for a year, neither seem slow yet - but the one we had previously was ridiculously slow.

I have ordered 2 Air-Up bottles as gifts. With the Black Friday discounts they are offering, I ordered 2 bottles and 10 packets of pods. It reduced the order by 40% so ended up for the same price as 2 bottles with 2 pack of pods that I was originally ordering

Twinsandsome · 21/11/2023 21:23

Think I just missed this!

Does anyone else possibly have one going?

sparkypupp · 21/11/2023 21:43

I have a £10 off at UGG code if anyone wants it.

DillieDoily · 21/11/2023 21:44

I feel like I'm a couple of years too late to the party but does anyone know the cheapest way to buy an Air Up bottle and a few pods? With the Black Friday discount I can get a bottle with 3 pods plus a variety pack for £35.67- is this as good as it gets? Definitely only need one bottle (as I know they are rubbish )

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 21/11/2023 21:45

@Qwerty21 thank you. Can you recommend any other tablets for a 7 year old.

I ordered the half price hoverboard, a new ladder desk and just dance 2023 from Argos. Delivery was due today and it's not turned up Hmm

Roughasabadgersbum · 21/11/2023 21:47

For those wanting tablets for kids. My son bought himself one from Amazon with his pocket/ birthday/odd jobs money . It was about £100 and is a black view one. Loads of storage and is really great for what he needs it's android and can link it to my phone so I can set controls etc on it. Came with a case and screen protectors.
Definitely worth a look.

Also my DD has the silver cross pram and as previous posters have said it's a winner. She's 7 now and has had it since she was 3 . It's still really sturdy.

One more thing, I have family coming from abroad for Christmas... Brother and nephews (adult) need just small token gifts..any ideas? I thought maybe travel mugs?

Thank you in advance and happy bargain hunting to you all 😊

Sorry guys - it's been an epic afternoon. I'm not even going to start with everything that's gone wrong! Thank you so much for the new thread.

You can have a rant to us @Reastie Unload a bit. Might make you feel better ❤

DillieDoily · 21/11/2023 21:59

For any Monster High fans you can get a bundle of two dolls - Frankie Stein and Clawdeen Wolf - for £18.99 on amazon

Namenumber3 · 21/11/2023 22:00

@TappingTed great ideas thank you. I got them pens and notepads for their birthdays ( reflective journals) but their own affirmation cards would work.
I have loads of birthdays this month and next as well as Christmas so have lost any inspiration.

I’ve just been persuaded to buy the Ariana Grande Cloud perfume without even smelling it! The cheapest I found was Debenhams £39.75 for 100ml and free next day delivery with code FREEDEL. I love Britney Spears Curious and the Sol de Janeiro sprays which are all sweet so should like this one I hope.

@Namenumber3 we have this bassinet style Mamma's and Pappas one, we are the third child to have it and it's still going strong. My recommendation is to avoid the more pushchair shaped ones as the fabric of the chair rips easily and you're looking at 6 months max. Pram

I need buy small gifts for some young people I am mentoring. Food gifts not appropriate. Two girls 16 and 17 and a boy of 16. No ideas of what is an appropriate but cheap present other than books (which I know won’t get read).

StickyArt have personalised pens for a few pounds each. Look nice and write well. You can choose the colours, font and name you want. Add a normal notebook (£1-2) and it’s a nice little present
alternatively, buy a personalised notebook from Amazon (loads around £5/6) and add a pack of cheaper pens

oops sorry….
just edited as read your post to say you had already done that!
Photo mugs with coffee sachets?
hot chocolate stirrers and mugs?
calendar of something they are interested in?
pamper kit - bath bombs, face masks etc (for girls)

minsmum · 21/11/2023 22:11

@Billybobranaway I love the cosatto dolls prams but they're expensive, we ended up going for a silver Cross one for our niece

Irritatedmum · 21/11/2023 22:21

Is the Ariana perfume suitable for a 10 year old? My DD has asked for perfume and I don’t know where to start - whether to get a proper perfume or go for something specifically for kids.

Hotchocolatemousse · 21/11/2023 22:22

I'm looking for a wireless headset which is compatible with dd's apple phone. My budget is upto £100, does anyone have any recommendations; it's for her 13th birthday after Christmas. Thank you.
