Thanks @GoatsareGOAT for the title. Luckily, she was referring to the board game peeps!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

I did think this @CamdenLurker I think I might just have to bite the bullet

Yep - to be honest I would if they top of the list, I found out the hard way last year and had to settle for a colour that wasn’t quite what I wanted!

fishfingersandchipsagain · 20/11/2023 19:49

I don’t remember who was looking, but the Meta Quest 2 has an offer on at Argos £249 but it comes with a free £50 Argos gift card

Famousthehero · 20/11/2023 19:50

I just bought this Rocket for £15, says age 6+
reviews are good, apparently makes steam as though it’s really going to launch

Hoping you guys can help, I’ve seen an advert for a Christmas tree decoration in a snowflake shape and in the middle is a glass crystal, when you look through it’s a photo. I’ve seen the advert a few times but now can’t find it! Does anyone know what I’m talking about and can send me the details 🙏
thank you!

whereareyousleep · 20/11/2023 19:56

I think I've missed all of the squishmallow deals and now I need 2 anybody seen any cheapish large ones about 241 would be great? 😂

cymrumam · 20/11/2023 20:02

@whereareyousleep claires have 50% off

fishfingersandchipsagain · 20/11/2023 20:06

I might have figured out the dark art of Argos codes.

New account. Added things to basket. Advert banner appeared at the bottom asking me to sign up to marketing. Took me to competitions.argos.co.uk. Entered my email address. £5 voucher in my inbox.

Interestingly, I initially put in my original email address because I would rather keep the old account. It said I wasn’t eligible. New one worked though.

Thankyou just had a look there's not much choice they all seem to be out of stock but I'll keep an eye on it.

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 20/11/2023 20:11

Campus gifts have numerous discounts at the moment including ones on Yankee Candles, Emma Bridgewater and Jellycats. My DC traditionally get a jellycat each in their stockings, so If I ever see money off them I get very excited!

mummymilkfloat · 20/11/2023 20:16

Yes @hobbitharry thank you for looking! it was like those but bigger. The advert was something like “the only bauble you’ll ever need” or something similar. I’m starting to think I dreamt it 😂

Delahot · 20/11/2023 20:17

Are there any stockists of Naked marshmellow that don’t charge huge delivery costs? I only need a box of vegan marshmallows to go in a set I’ve made up for my nephew. Delivery cost is same as the price of the item!

Ilovepugs2017 · 20/11/2023 20:18

For anyone who has used the codes for hot diamonds I can only get the birthday and jewels code to work. Any idea how to get the others working? The reason it gives is that I’ve used other codes

If anyone is looking for a football, Mitre footballs have about 25% off on Amazon, taking them just below £10. They're not an exciting brand but they're the ones used by most grassroots club as they're a high quality ball at a decent price. In my experience, any children who like football are always happy with a new ball even if they have a few already.

Ilovepugs2017 · 20/11/2023 20:21

Also did anyone else do the £10 cash back via quid co for Asda? Mine is still showing as pending 🤔

Eaglefree · 20/11/2023 20:24

Does anyone know if Valentte London do offers on their Christmas Mixed Wax Melt Set?

Mine too it takes ages on QUIDCO it's a very slow site

Mytribeof3 · 20/11/2023 20:28

Dds 10&12 years are asking for electric toothbrushes but not sure whether dentist advise these for children or to stick with manual? Any experience/thoughts on this would be appreciated before I spend money on them!

Glitterandmud · 20/11/2023 20:30

@MamaK19
Look at Smart Games IQ puzzles on Amazon, about £10 each, have got these in the past for teen and preteen dns.
Fidget toys are still popular among my 9 year olds friends, rubix cube type things. They are still into football and pokemom cards too.
Another thing that has done well across the age groups with us is a game called The Genius Square, also on amazon with a black Friday deal on just now.

I missed out on the 24.99 heated throw in lidls yesterday. I was really hoping to get one for my Mum and Dad. Any idea where else I can get one for the same sort of price?

I was the same but tried another lidls in the next town and they had 4 left so maybe worth a try if you have others nearby

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 20/11/2023 20:34

@Ilovepugs2017 not sure but if you used the same email address last year I don't think you can use some of the codes again on hot diamonds

bluebrickbutterfly · 20/11/2023 20:41

This happened to me last week as well. I sent it back and reordered using gift option to add a note which forced them to put it in outer packaging.

If you buy via the website, always have another look at your items on the checkout page. On checkout page it states next to each item if it will ship in the original packaging; there is a checkbox next to each one to tick if you’d rather ship them in Amazon packaging instead. They are shipping many more items in original packaging as default recently (not ideal in the lead up to Christmas!).

People always used to complain about the cardboard boxes but I prefer them (and they can be recycled). I’ve had things shipped in thin paper bags recently, which offer no protection - I’ve received items where the item packaging has been damaged which is frustrating.

Oh I was thinking perhaps it hadn’t tracked it or something as I’m quite new to it.
I wonder if top cash back is any better

Carrie76 · 20/11/2023 20:46

@Mytribeof3 our dentist recommended electric ones for my kids 8,11 & 13
