I love the fact that the nn of the person who said this to me is @chocolateisavegetable - very apt!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Ok a group I am on they have said Sainsbury’s/nectar are doing a double up, but I cannot see anything about it. Anyone heard anything?

I'm pretty sure that's defunct these days.

I know they did a selective / limited double up for certain card holders last year, but no general one.

I hope they do, as I could do with more printer ink! #christmassy Xmas Grin

Raindancer411 · 15/11/2023 19:13

They must be doing it again for select accounts again then, as some people have used it. I have a lot of points so could do with it 😂

I've just had a look on X and there's a 'Points Power Up' promotion which must be it.

I had loads of points, but have been spending a fair amount recently on booze and food! I'm down to £167 worth now. We get jittery below £200. 🤣🤣

Thelifeofawife · 15/11/2023 19:21

@SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything can you not get vouchers? For £10 or £20 depending on budget?
Or you could do small hampers with things like biscuits, chocolate, crackers, chutneys, etc (M&S usually have the shortbread tins on offer, which would bulk out a hamper).
If you are happy to shop around there are lots of bargains where you could get the men & women different things

DinkyGT · 15/11/2023 19:27

Does anyone have any idea of where to buy a bargainous hover board for my DD (7)? We’ve looked at Smyths but wondered if there were any better places/discounts to be had? Xx

Claramay78 · 15/11/2023 19:43

Has anyone had the Snugsie from Silentnight? down from 45 to 14.95 on amazon, looks well made

SeemedLikeAGoodIdeaAtTheTime · 15/11/2023 19:57

Hoverboard Argos had one at half price £75. Out of stock but mentions Black Friday so may be live by then or come into stock.

I've just googled and love that it turns into a cushion when not in use and that it also has a foot pocket!¡! 🤯I will prob buy one for myself, thank you!

PopcornAndGummyBears · 15/11/2023 20:03

@Claramay78 unless there are different types of sugsies from silentnight, no way have they ever been £45! They are usually around the £13-£15 mark.

And sorry to disappoint you but unless it’s a different item, they are pretty rubbish. The Dunnes Oodie is much better for a similar price. The Sugsie is pretty thin and doesn’t feel very nice. DD was given one as a gift from a friend a couple of years ago and gave it away to the charity shop because she decided her other blankets (inc fairly cheap ones from TK Maxx and B&M) are better.

DH just casually dropped in that he needs 10 gifts for work colleagues plus sweets or biscuits for the office, reception team and the janitors/cleaners.
To complicate matters a mix of genders, different likes and a Muslim colleague who doesn’t celebrate Christmas but does go to the Christmas lunch and was always happy to receive a gift from his predecessor.
Help me because if DH does this he will bankrupt us!

How about a travel cup? Eg Dunelm have £3.50 ones in either Robin or Stag

depending on budget, you could put in a voucher for a coffee chain, or one of those hot choc bombs/stirrer things?

Winter Robin Travel Mug | Dunelm

* Reusable and durable * Leak proof * Easy to carry out Take your winter hot chocolates on the go with this festive Winter Robin travel mug.

The hexbug nano has been mentioned on here, are they any good? Just wondering if my nearly 6 year old would enjoy?

Beingacatbed · 15/11/2023 20:12

Could anyone who has ordered from footballsbest4u tell me if the badges are embroidered or ironed on please :)

My 6 year old loves his. They move incredibly fast and are fantastic for racing. Loads on Vinted and great for stocking fillers on their own

SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything · 15/11/2023 20:15

Vouchers/travel mugs are a great idea. There’s a new Starbucks opened up next to where he works so that could be a good shout. Would ideally like it to be under £100 all in but fear I’m kidding myself.

Hello,

I've been following this thread and find you have to keep track of most posts to follow the deals and comments.

Agree about the separate Oodie posts - although I can confirm Dunelm have a great range!

I have been keeping an eye on here for the following but not see any yet if anyone can help
Please?

Wireless headphones under £30 - not just based on price but actually recommended as comfortable and reasonable quality

Grip socks - I don't know too much about these but think they are around £10 per pair

Thanks 🤩

For grip socks we use these for my netballer DD and footballer DS https://gaintheedgeofficial.com/collections/v2-grip-socks-2-0-midcalf-length?twsource=ig&twwadid=120200746976910142&utmsource=facebook&utmmmedium=paid

Good quality and always have a sale on

Flubadubba · 15/11/2023 20:38

@LemonFrosting my 4 year old adores hers, as do all.of her cousins. In fact, I got her cousin the bargain set mentioned up thread! We have had everyone from a Professor to a 3 year old playing with them and they have all really enjoyed them...

Possumcat · 15/11/2023 20:50

Does anyone know of any Matalan discount codes please? Just realised I need to spend £50!

IDontDrinkTea · 15/11/2023 20:53

There’s 40% of everything at https://joanieclothing.com/ started today.
They sell vintage inspired clothing - and most importantly: dresses WITH POCKETS. I know I posted about them in a previous year and they were very popular

This is my first post so apologies that I haven't linked and am using a photo.

But Micro Scooter have a great deal under their "Christmas" tab on their page. Helmet , windmill and soft toy dino head for £19.99. They have both helmet sizes available.

I've ordered it and it's great. I really like micro scooter helmets, they have magnetic clasps that don't nip your child's skin and they have a red light on the back too.

Code: BUYAGAIN gives free delivery over £20.

I also ordered a £3 matching bottle to push it over £20! Just search "bottle".

Hope this helps someone!

Embroidered. You cannot tell the difference. My older teens have never questioned they're not genuine. Absolutely order.
