Stocking fillers for kids at uni

Kids not ready to give up stockings just yet but with them getting older it's harder. We have a rule of 10 presents in a stocking (to keep it fair!)

So far thinking alcohol minis, posh toiletries, designer pants. Will get a food gift card and put in a small box.

Trying to think of things that would be useful to take back to uni.

Any recommendations for any new small board games / card games to fit in stockings?

My DD is at university but still lives at home. I haven't thought much beyond socks and maybe a small Charlotte Tilbury set. She's not a big chocolate fan and steers clear of spicy food due to IBS, so chilli/spicy sauces are out.

If you're looking for something bulky (but cheap) maybe opt for gloves, a scarf or a pair of pyjamas from Primark/Penneys rolled up.

In previous years I bought body scents from Victoria's Secret. Iirc I bought two bottles and they were approx. €15 each. But took up a good bit of her stocking.

Make up bag or make up brushes? You'd probably get them in Primark or Penneys for a few € if they're not fussy about branded make up brushes.

Nail varnishes.

Bath bombs.

DD has joined a badminton club so I might get her some shuttlecocks or some badminton gel pens.

It was definitely cheaper when they were small - a cuddly toy, some crayons, cookie cutters and a chocolate Santa or snowman. But DD really loves her stocking. I think it's the surprise element - she generally knows what her main presents will be but the stocking contents are a surprise. Anyway, I've already told her that I'm cutting down on presents this year.

@NormalForNuneaton the shower speaker is a great idea. I might steal that. Thank you!

@miserablebitch and @AgnesX have you any budget suggestions? I'd love to hear them.

My stockings are very old school. A cheap book, the little chocs that are tree decorations, mini bubble baths/shower gels from somewhere like the Body Shop, socks, mini spirits. Anything I buy I try to do it where there's a special offer like 3 for 2.

My family don't like surprises so they get envelopes and because of that the stocking contents are things I know they'll eat/drink/use. Only the book is a risk.

Not read the whole thread so apologies for any repetition. Here’s a list I put together for DS stocking last year (obviously didn’t get all). There’s a few things on the list you can get from Home Bargains/B&M very cheaply - they also do mini games like Jenga, etc

Lynx
Razor
Batteries
Super noodles
Choc orange
Stress ball
Fluffy bed socks
Trolley coin (gym locker)
Multi tool key or pen
Clip key ring
Air cans (for PC)
USB stick
Sheet face mask
Hot chocolate

Japanese sweets (Amazon or Blippo kawaii)
Gym towel
Water bottle
Shower speaker
Vouchers (Greggs/Nando’s)
Phone cover & screen protector
Nose trimmer
Protein bars
Beanie hat
Airpods cleaner

I bought it last year at either Aldi or Lidl. I put it away and forgot about it. Then I found it when I was hiding presents in my wardrobe. I think it was Aldi.
