@LemonFrosting k’nex have roller coaster sets, we have the pac man one, it’s been great and was easy enough to build!

lego do roller coasters too but I think they are aimed at older children, though might be a nice activity to do together!

Has anyone seen any good deals for gifts for a 6 year old boy for Christmas? I’m stuck on what to get my nephew

User236792 · 06/10/2023 19:26

Big thanks for the thanks to the previous posters, I have now also ordered from the Spicery. Very happy with the special offer 30% on their legend kits which stacks with the referral code so I’m getting a legend kit plus calendar for £20.50 delivered! I used a referral code in the referral thread so hope someone gets the £5 bonus!

So many great books at this age which have Christmassy themes. Ideal age for Narnia or The Dark is Rising series? or the Christmasaurus series.

Or how about a game? Exploding Kittens if he’s quite good at games, or dobble?

Does anyone have any discount codes for ASOS? I missed the one the other day as the shoes I wanted were OOS. They’re back in but now the code won’t work doh!

I'd not even thought of knex so thank you! Lots of different sets to choose from :)

The lego space coaster looks good but to be honest he's not massively into lego (it would be more enjoyed by me!!!!)

ArthurChristmas22 · 06/10/2023 20:08

@Hedjwitch crikey, you're right! I'd forgotten about that too!!!

RicherThanYews · 06/10/2023 20:24

@LemonFrosting The K'nex rollercoaster is brilliant, I built that over again for years. The Ferris Wheel is a great gift too and is suitable for loads of ages. I actually preferred it to the rollercoaster. Have a look on Smyths maybe as they have a sale.

Hi @Hedjwitch I haven’t received the biscuits either. I checked yesterday and it says that the delivery date is up until the 22nd October

imnottoofussed · 06/10/2023 20:42

Just an update on those qvc heated throws. They did reply to confirm it's an upgraded version and not the recalled version. However also they said they are struggling for stock so I might not even receive them after all 🤦‍♀️

liveeverysecond · 06/10/2023 20:47

Any recommendations for silk pillowcases please?

Tina221 · 06/10/2023 20:51

Sorry, I ordered the biscuits on the 2nd Sept and the delivery date says 22nd Sept to 25th Oct, fingers crossed

Hard copy of The Snowman, reimagined by Michael Morpurgo, is currently £5.99 on Amazon. We bought this last year and my kids loved it. Really nice edition.

bizzey · 06/10/2023 21:13

The Amazon biscuits ?
Mine are due 25th October.

I am embarrassed to say ...I had to scroll quite far back in my orders list to find them 🫢!

Whyisitsodifficult · 06/10/2023 21:28

Does anyone remember the bargain beer advent calendar from last year. My husband loved it but can’t remember where it came from but remember it was from this board!

Lightsandtights · 06/10/2023 21:30

Beer52?

Callmesleepy · 06/10/2023 21:38

@Mads96 honestly can't go wrong with a whoopie cushion at that age. Mine was also thrilled with a notepad that was just for him, and an oodie from the 5poundstuff site.
