In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

Thanks for the ideas. I don't know DF and partner super well. Fitness wise they do triathlons etc. Wildlife feeding/watching ideas are good. I have in the past also bought garden centre vouchers and vouchers for online places that I know do vegan meal kits. I just find it very hard as I don't know them well and their likes/interests and what they can/will/won't eat or drink and do is so different from me I find it hard to think of ideas.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 01/10/2023 22:18

Just a reminder for those who order the OK beauty boxes to cancel them!

How about vouchers for a day out instead? Don’t know what’s close by but a vouchers for a steam train , theatre, something along those lines.

Huge thank you to whoever recommended wet brushes! I picked one up from TKMAX today and it made such a difference to detangling my hair Smile

Microsoft Office 2019 or 2021 Package for Windows or Mac from Yvar (Up to 96% Off)

Abit boring but for anyone buying laptops for Christmas this seems like a very cheap Microsoft package!

Gladysrocker · 02/10/2023 08:12

Does anyone know if there are ever any discounts on the Air Up bottles? They’re hugely expensive but my grandson has requested one from Santa!

There was an offer shared in an earlier thread which worked out about £20 for a starter set I think! Probably worth holding out for an offer! Maybe black Friday!

mmmmmchocolate · 02/10/2023 08:30

@Gladysrocker if you can find a referral you can get 20% off your bottle. Just google airup referral and there will be multiple on the internet, there’s a thread on mumsnet too if you can find it.

Last year’s Black Friday sale was something like a free wrist strap that wasn’t really worth it. When I brought one last year a couple of days later I got a voucher for bogof pods with free p&p- they may not still do that but one to look out for.

Gustavo1 · 02/10/2023 09:35

Boots.com has some good offers on Rituals. There isn’t much stock left but I still managed to get some a couple of candles. Worked well combined with a 500 bonus point offer on the advantage app too.

Blessedbethefruitz · 01/10/2023 22:00

Is the spicery stuff actually a good deal? We don't really buy stuff like that, but dp is very into mastering from scratch curries. Tired of getting him boring gifts!

@Blessedbethefruitz It’s a great deal. My DH often isn’t that bothered about presents but he loves these recipes. It’s stopped us getting Takeaways as we can make better at home. The spice mixes are fab. I have just bought the new Chef’s kit but I would thoroughly recommend the original ‘How to be a Curry Legend’ as it has the familiar dishes like Madras and Jalfrezi. If he likes cooking from scratch I think he would love these recipes and spice blends.

Honestmummydearest · 02/10/2023 09:56

Have many people had success with the OnThatAss free pair? I added a reminder in my calendar to cancel after the first month but with a day to go, the first pair hadn’t even arrived yet, let alone DH being able to test them out.

Requested a replacement pair and they still haven’t arrived so had to cancel the subscription anyway to avoid being charged for the next month. Still, beither have arrived, 3 days later. Wondering if it was all a bit of a con to keep you subscribed and waiting…

Jurassic Jim's doing his advent calenders this morning for anyone who was waiting

BiteyBitingBiters · 02/10/2023 11:01

Hi everyone, always follow these threads every year but never usually post! Finding it hard to find to my xmas mojo this year though as waiting for a big operation so just constantly worrying about that instead of christmas. So trying to get myself into xmas mode and have ordered a few things this morning.
Only have a small contribution but I've bought for my disney mad son, rubik's disney platinum 3x3 cube £12.33 on amazon at the moment, seems like a good price to me as cant find anywhere else that sells it.
Also wondering does anyone know if/when/how to get legislation advent calendars discounted please? I'm wanting the star wars and city for my boys. Thanks in advance. For anyone that has someone that loves bluey, the book advent is currently £12 on amazon, not sure wether to buy that now or see if it drops a little closer to xmas! 😊

Famousthehero · 02/10/2023 11:16

This Clementoni dump truck kit is a good price at £6.67
I find their models really well thought out and good quality.
Might be good for 4/5 year old party gifts, depending on the child

Jemimapuddlesduck · 02/10/2023 11:54

The disney store, shopdisney, has the large munchlings plushies on offer today from £31 down to £15. Free delivery when you spend £50. My kids love these so I’ve bought a few to put up for Christmas.

Sorry no discount codes but just wanted to say my DD17 bought herself one and I was gobsmacked at how expensive it was. However, it's never out of her hands and she drinks a couple of litres of water a day now so actually was a good buy!
