Sorry that was for @Iknownothing

BlairWaldorfOG · 19/09/2023 15:16

@Iknownothing the Beauty Works ones that ASOS sell are decent, £15 each I think but always included in the 20% off discounts that they regularly advertise.

thesugarbumfairy · 19/09/2023 15:33

Its Vans family week this week, so if you join their loyalty scheme (free) you get 30% off their stuff. https://www.vans.co.uk/ I mean its still not cheap, but its cheaper! I don't know if you can combine it with the 10% you normally get off for your first order but I doubt it.

PiningForTheMoon · 19/09/2023 15:46

@SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything I wonder if I might be able to have a code for FootAsylum please?

IggyAce · 19/09/2023 15:46

@FudgeSodaPops last Black Friday I got body mists half price, it’s usually selected fragrances but my dd loves the vanilla one. I had them shipped to Next for free delivery.

mogtheexcellent · 19/09/2023 16:02

sorry taken me all day to press post on this. re the dinosaur timeline request.

Im a historian and I usually buy the DK book A Street Through Time as presents for kids. Doesnt have dinosaurs as only goes back 12,000 years but its an excellent representation of how a set landscape changes over time. Its been a hit present. DD is 9 and still gets it out and inspects it for hours, flipping back and forth between the pages.

Getoffmyroofbirdsyouwokemeup · 19/09/2023 16:05

@Notherereally1 probably a no as the plastic element maybe why you have ditched shampoo bottles etc anyway but I got two soap dishes from amazon for like £3 for both. One is grey and one white. They also had a silicone one which looked good. I have the set of three gruum products, face body and hair and they all fit on one soap dish xx

Callmesleepy · 19/09/2023 16:20

I haven't tried gruum but similar bars work best in a mesh bag to drain otherwise they get gloopy and gross. Also helps them lather, and you can just stick them up on the shower on the loop.
This sort of thing Random Amazon mesh bags

napsarelifewithtwo · 19/09/2023 16:33

@liv6 don't know about a Black Friday deal as I've only just got a tonie box myself so never taken notice. Amazon sometimes do 3for2 though and boots currently have a 4for3 deal on selected tonies.

Similar to a post upthread (or previous thread?) Dumpster Diver board game and jig saw for £3.99

Dumpster Diver

No idea on quality and not in the age range of any small human I know, but tis a good price!

Thanks, took a punt on this for my 3.5yr old. Can't really go wrong at that price! 🙂

@PiningForTheMoon GRAD-kHmD1F6XBmM8NdRc that should get 20% and free delivery 🚚

FudgeSodaPops · 19/09/2023 16:43

@IggyAce Thank you! I’ll hold out for Black Friday 🤞

My niece is 13 and loves all beauty related stuff and wears bits of make up here and there. Would you say they are age appropriate?

IggyAce · 19/09/2023 16:49

@FudgeSodaPops my dd is now 17 and has used Victoria Secrets body mists for a few years. Teens seem to progress from So bodysprays to Victoria secrets so are fine for a 13 year old. My dd was given one of the Victoria secret purses by her Aunt and that was well received. No clue with regards to the lip gloss my teen likes Kylie or Dior ones.

Do Tonies ever get reduced in Prime day or the Black Friday sales? If so what sort of reduction?

Have a look on Vinted. I've picked up a load of brand new unopened ones for my son on there from £6 to £10 each (less if you're happy with ones that have been opened and used). My son is not yet 3 so doesn't understand packaging etc so fine from a gifting perspective. Better if you can buy several tonies from one seller (some people have a load of them), as then you're only paying one round of postage.

MamblingOn · 19/09/2023 18:02

There’s a book called questions and answers about dinosaurs. It’s lift the flap which makes it look young but actually the text is quite detailed

This book looks fab. Will definitely get this for DS who is really enjoying history at school.

I just looked it up on Amazon and noticed that they also had a dinosaur themed one called Life through time which looks like the same concept but goes back 700million years.

You absolute star @SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything. Thanks a million. Unfortunately the code isn’t playing ball (maybe because the top is already ‘reduced’) but I’m grateful for your offer.

Maybelline sky high mascara seems to be a winner here.

Or Dior if you can stretch to that.

laneige lip mask
SOL DE JANEIRO

are both also winners here.

Crimsonbow · 19/09/2023 19:06

@Notherereally1 we use mesh bags like those linked up thread and just hang them up.

ChristmasCrumpet · 19/09/2023 19:39

Phew! Found you all!

FudgeSodaPops · 19/09/2023 19:40

@TinglingTangling Ah thank you! I’ve just had a look at Laneige and there’s a cute lip mask set which I will get instead of the lip gloss 😁
