@LemonFrosting I’m not sure where abouts you are but sometimes toys from older movies end up in discount or pound shops
Unfortunately it means having the time to go traipsing around to different shops for what could be a fruitless effort though

@OneHornedFlyingPurplePeopleEater
Superspace?

Some really great suggestions...I absolutely love these! On the hunt for deals now :)

Annual passes might also work - and takes up considerably less room 😄

PlanBea · 19/09/2023 11:43

@whoknows1230 are you sorted with another code? I could PM you one if still needed!

Callmesleepy · 19/09/2023 12:13

@OneHornedFlyingPurplePeopleEater decent bikes. We had a second hand one a couple of years ago that is played with every day and they are SO much better than cheaper ones. Try Isla bikes or frog bikes and you can get spare parts to hand them down or resell.

We also loved magnet tiles but again buy good quality or the magnets fall out.

Days out are popular too. Get the grandparents to take them and go out for lunch yourself!

WidowedMum · 19/09/2023 12:44

@OneHornedFlyingPurplePeopleEater maybe not overly expensive but my DD has had the most use out of her balance beam set and it tidies up really small, she’s got the decathlon one but there are lots of different ones about.

Hi, does anyone know if Victoria Secrets ever have discounts or Black Friday discounts? I am after the body mist and lip gloss set for my teenage niece but £50 for both seems steep 😓

Crimsonbow · 19/09/2023 13:17

@OneHornedFlyingPurplePeopleEater not actually that expensive but the best joint gift we've bought our children is this spinning see saw. They have spent hours throwing each other around in the past year and I can easily see it lasting a few more years.

Got my gruum set. It'll make a nice little gift for DH who has started using bar soap and likes a face scrub. Agree the bag wasn't worth what they said though!

I've just received my gruum set. I've got a lot of gruum products now as Christmas gifts. Looking forward to trying some myself. But one question I have is what does everyone use to keep the bars in? Or do you just have each different one lined up in the bathroom like you would for bottles of shampoo, bodywash etc?

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 19/09/2023 13:36

@Blessedbethefruitz Take a look at What on Earth books. Ticks all your boxes, have amazing timeline books which come with a magnifier. Mine absolutely loved them at that age.

napsarelifewithtwo · 19/09/2023 13:37

Mine are all just lined up @Notherereally1 but it very much drives me mad as they slip off/get stuck/little hands grab them. I'm eyeing up one of these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B09S26V4LD/ref=oxscsavedimage4?smid=A18LMB9B8SE8VW&psc=1 link

It's expensive and people say the suction isn't great but I'm tempted as I have mini tiles that nothing sticks to anyway so I'd just it as a stand.

napsarelifewithtwo · 19/09/2023 13:39

In fact finding that link for you @Notherereally1 made me notice it's now on offer! So I think I'm going to dive in and buy it!

LostCats · 19/09/2023 13:39

I highly recommend the leapfrog ice cream set too. We got for DD when she was 3. She’s now 8.5 and it still gets pulled out at every playdate and used. It has been so loved and so used. Worth every penny. And still in perfect condition. Such an excellent purchase.

napsarelifewithtwo · 19/09/2023 13:40

Ok tried and failed to do a short link and it messed it up! Can't figure out how to edit so here is the link again

Similar to a post upthread (or previous thread?) Dumpster Diver board game and jig saw for £3.99

Dumpster Diver

No idea on quality and not in the age range of any small human I know, but tis a good price!

Notherereally1 · 19/09/2023 13:50

@napsarelifewithtwo ooohhh I like those, although a bit expensive I'll add them to my basket and keep a look out for similar as I don't really need it just yet. I couldn't really think what to put them in. I've seen mums at swimming lessons using the shampoo bars for their kids and they're just in ikea sandwich bags so wondered what they used at home. Although could just use ikea sandwich bags with product name and string them up in the shower 🤣🤣 Thanks for the link

PuddlesPityParty · 19/09/2023 13:54

@whoknows1230 sorry if it’s been said but Unidays etc usually are time Limited codes that will refresh after a certain amount of time anyway so if you get one you should try and use it asap!

Hickry · 19/09/2023 14:00

Ah thanks ds2 will love the dumpster diver game!

MumVUnicorns · 19/09/2023 14:03

One of our most loved and used presents is a Tonie starter set. Our DD got one from Nanna when she was 3c she is now 7 and still absolutely adores it and the collection of Tonies are growing with her too!

Littlegoth · 19/09/2023 14:12

Smyths have a sale on - up to 50% off selected items in store and online

Just had a message that a company called pound fun have cheap toys from 1p. £2.99 shipping or free if order over £25. I have never heard of them before but may be good for stocking fillers. Only 4 reviews on trust pilot but all positive.

I've used them. I didn't have any problems. Although, no order confirmation email (got a text instead) and no dispatch notification.

liv6 · 19/09/2023 14:26

Do Tonies ever get reduced in Prime day or the Black Friday sales? If so what sort of reduction?

Dee1224 · 19/09/2023 14:28

Thanks for the new thread @Sideorderofchips

I managed to get our Tonies from the website with the 5 Tonies. I think it had 20% off at Black Friday xx

ilovetea14 · 19/09/2023 15:06

I bought two for my DD in homestore and more. I got 2 for €30 She has curly hair and I found them really good. I've noticed a big difference in her hair in the morning it's not as frizzy. I didn't want to pay big money incase they didn't work.
