@sorryiasked Thanks - looks good, but I think it's a bit too young?

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 18/09/2023 22:10

@mrsanflowerpot look up doodlebug on Instagram for a cute way to do special tickets

@LemonFrosting there are a few bits on Vinted - I searched Disney Luca.

I've tried to buy from vinted in the past but for some reason I could never get my card to work! Maybe that's a good thing as it's saved me money!!

gawditswindy · 18/09/2023 22:12

False eyelashes are a good gift for a 13yo according to another current thread. Grin

whoknows1230 · 18/09/2023 22:13

This afternoon on the last thread, @SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything kindly gave me a student discount code for Dunelm.
I thought I'd used it (and posted a message to say thank you and that I'd used it) but tonight realised that I hadn't pressed "submit" on the final order confirmation page so the order never actually went through. When I've tried to order the items this evening, it says the code is no longer valid, so unfortunately it seems that somebody else has used it.

For those of us who share on-time use codes, it might be worth us PMing the codes to each other instead of posting them on the thread, so the same thing doesn't happen to somebody else.

Someaddedsugar · 18/09/2023 22:13

We have this one and there're some good timelines etc in it.

Someaddedsugar · 18/09/2023 22:14

Good shout @Yalz - I'll ask at work before buying the other one.

sorryiasked · 18/09/2023 22:17

@Blessedbethefruitz it's graded 5-7 year olds. But usborne do lots of others if it's not what you're looking for

Thank you SO much. Are they a company who do flowers as special keepsakes?

ChubbyChinook · 18/09/2023 22:23

Thank you @Checkinmylist1 I will get her that for Xmas as I've now sorted her birthday this week from the other suggestions. I love how helpful everyone is on these threads.

Smileatthesmallthings · 18/09/2023 22:33

@Blessedbethefruitz My DS is 6.5 and still loves all of the Usborne lift the flap books. We have them ranging from building sites to the History of Britain and everything in between and he still goes back to them time and time again (so much so that I just picked up 3 more for Christmas in Aldi) so your 5yo might not be too old for that one.

Alternatively, this book is beautiful. I don't know if it has timelines in it as my boy has never been into dinosaurs but it was a very well received gift for a 6yo recently (to be shared with parents as it's very detailed)

Smileatthesmallthings · 18/09/2023 22:34

@Blessedbethefruitz with the picture this time 🤦

Christmas bargains thread 2 - where did Reastie go
Fuckingfuckssake · 18/09/2023 22:38

@Blessedbethefruitz we have this, bought after a recommendation on here.

TIMELINE: A Visual History of Our World: 1 amzn.eu/d/aLf6oDp

MerylSqueak · 18/09/2023 22:38

@Blessedbethefruitz There's a book called Timelines of Everything. It had a red cover when we has it.

I have just spent an absolute fortune on special tickets for Olivia Rodrigo tickets for DD's main ONLY present. Can anyone recommend a special ticket making (have seen printed versions, box versions, sure they're called something but I have no idea what, etc.) company that I could get something nice for her to open from?

I don’t know if this is too basic for what you’re looking for but I have bought cards from eBay that have a panel on the front which, when it’s scratched off, reveals the surprise. Something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325334885087

Personalised Concert Surprise Scratch Off Card Scratch off to reveal Surprise | eBay

Placemarking! Hoping to be able to share some bargains & repay the great ideas I’ve been given so far

Thank you @Wait4nothing , yes he has. He really likes the vespa in the film, so when I saw that playset I thought oh my gosh he'd love that! Would have to be out of stock though wouldn't it??!!

Not exactly Luca related but Lego make a little vespa.

And a big one for more £££.

You might also be able to get a Lego stuntz vespa too which is a little pull back toy.

TheBeesKnee · 18/09/2023 23:07

Has everyone's Gruum arrived? I ordered mine when the link was first posted on the other thread and it still hasn't come. Not sure when to start worrying!

I ordered DP a golden scratch ticket from Etsy to present as his concert gift. I got to choose what I wanted the ticket to say, as well as the scratch panel bit* and it was all very well done. There are many on there, though it could be cheaper to just DIY one as I've seen people buy the silver scratch stuff.

*a line from an OR song could be good

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 18/09/2023 23:25

Sorry @mrsanflowerpot it's doodlebugandco1
Then scroll through and look for the tickets

Athlebad · 18/09/2023 23:28

Ooh, perfect to bulk out the washbag from the previous Gruum freebies! And they offer a few other products half price before going to checkout...
