Thank you to whoever suggested the Bonne Maman advent calendar. Looks great, that’s two of my presents sorted out. Price includes delivery and apart from presents for the household I have to post everything so a good saving for me.

@TheBeesKnee I ordered when first posted too and mine arrived today!

Givealittlebit · 18/09/2023 23:40

Also such sad news @Sideorderofchips, hope you're all ok

Tbry · 18/09/2023 23:50

Boots have their Christmas star gifts back on each week. I like the look of the Laura Ashley one but has anyone actually seen it or bought it as the images are not the best?

Also the next vip sale starts tomorrow.

Callmesleepy · 19/09/2023 00:07

Sorry to hear about your cat @Sideorderofchips , they're little members of the family 😞

@Blessedbethefruitz there were some lovely books in the natural history museum bookshop recently. Absolutely not bargainous but the Robert Sabuda ones are always highly recommended on here. My 5 year old loved Clash of the dinosaurswhich covers topics like who would win in a battle between a t rex and a stegosaurus. Not classy at all. We read it for months.

Phew! Found you all!

WetFlump · 19/09/2023 01:22

Amazon have this game plus jigsaw for £3.72 seems worth a shot! £27 in argos weirdly.

£10 Tuesday at Boots has an interesting selection of items this week, with a lot of skincare and mascara but also including 4 different medium jar Yankee Candles, normally £21.99 each. Click and collect is free for £15+, delivery free for £25+, plus advantage card points if you’re a member.

No mirrors this week, though.

Online Home Bargains has medium jar Yankee Candles for £8, and large ones for £11. Postage seems to be £3.95 however much you buy. I don’t know this company but their Trustpilot reviews seem reasonable. Has anyone any experience of buying from them?

Thanks for this. You have to click buy now rather than put into basket - says there is an error when you do that :)

Snowflakes2 · 19/09/2023 05:37

@Yalz I bought a christmas throw last year from OHS and all was fine. Will buy from there again.

Has everyone's Gruum arrived? I ordered mine when the link was first posted on the other thread and it still hasn't come. Not sure when to start worrying!

Mine hasn't, in theory it says shipped on Thursday. I'm holding off any other purchases until it arrives! I'm assuming it's because I only seem to get post delivered once a week at the moment!

Crimsonbow · 19/09/2023 06:37

@Blessedbethefruitz to add to the dinosaur chat, we have one called the Dinosaurium which is very derailed (I can't say half the words 😅).

We have the DK one that @Smileatthesmallthings bought but the animal version and it is one of my absolute favourite books to share with my DC so I'd hope the Dino version is as good.

Oh and @TheBeesKnee I haven't had my gruum order yet either and ordered the day it was posted.

Editting again to add my condolences about your cat chips 💐

mumonthehill · 19/09/2023 06:51

Thanks for new thread!!

EekGoesTheBaby · 19/09/2023 07:00

Thanks to PPs on last thread for the gruum offer and heads up on wet brushes.

@TheBeesKnee I ordered the gruum a bit late compared to the posting and it came on Saturday.

TinglingTangling · 19/09/2023 07:07

Finally managed to open my marshmallow order and grumm freebie.

Pleased with the marshmallows.
However I don’t know how they can claim the wash bag is normally £20, Iv bought better quality at primark for £2. Products are great though.

SadlyACupOfTeaDoesNotSolveEverything · 19/09/2023 07:26

@mrsanflowerpot i have used TixStudioGB on Etsy more than a dozen times for event ticket gifts and always pleased with the quality and speed of delivery.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 19/09/2023 07:27

My gruum order came yesterday but sadly one of the boxes of soap were all ripped so I won’t be able to give FIL that.

Possumcat · 19/09/2023 07:29

Top of my DD’s list too @mrsanflowerpot - hoping for a code for the presale but is there another way to purchase them early?! Last time I got tickets, I got them a T-shirt and wrapped them in that?

beansoup · 19/09/2023 07:31

Oooh just came across this thread! Looks as if it will be a huge help with Xmas this year!

Iknownothing · 19/09/2023 07:33

Silk pillowcases - there seem to be an enormous range in price. Do they all work the same way? One dd wants them for her hair the other for her acne. I don’t know anything about them. There £15 ones on Amazon and £50 ones in John Lewis - do I hold out for a bargain or just go for the cheaper ones?

dancemom · 19/09/2023 07:40

Did anyone order the debentures mirror and manage to get free shipping?

I bought one of these last year and another this year both from ASOS when they offer a blanket discount (they did thirty per cent off recently which I think made them just under ten pounds) I also got a silk hair wrap off there last week for dd no idea if they work but she likes them.

Cubic · 19/09/2023 07:47

Hi, ds with complex needs collects a game called "on your marks" from different countries. It's all different company logos and they vary with each country. He wants the Mexican version. Amazon.mx has it but won't deliver to UK. I've tried different mexican stores but they won't deliver either. Just wondered if any of you guys have any ideas please on how i could get hold of it? It's called a sus marcas novelty.

I got some from a place called Lily Silk, I wouldn’t actually recommend though. They seem to charge extra for what was just the crap from china.
