As the title says! I’m thinking particularly food stuff from the supermarkets.
For me it’s lidls mini stollen,
marks and Spencer’s clementines
marks and Spencer’s panettone

I love all the food items you only get at Christmas- if we had them year round they wouldn’t be so exciting!!

Whoever mentioned Christmas coal from fortnums I curse you - you can buy it now and it looks delish (along with all the other Xmas goodies!)

sadly don’t think I can justify it as we are having mega building works done to point where I said to DH today, let’s not buy each other anything for Xmas 😂

Stupendousseptember · 17/09/2023 21:33

Fortnum and mason ham pie.
Special duck.
Lebkuchen

JenniferBooth · 18/09/2023 21:20

Costa please bring back your Quality Street Toffee Penny Latte from Christmas 2021 instead of the awful Toblerone Latte from last year.

bloodyeffinnora · 19/09/2023 15:06

m&s chestnut stuffing
m&s mince pies
Aldi mulled wine
Aldi Ballycastle (baileys)

LostThestral · 19/09/2023 16:46

those little rum truffles in the red packet that I will hopefully find but haven't been able to for years

Littlegoth · 20/09/2023 15:39

@bloodyeffinnora whats the Ballycastle like? Which? Rated it higher than Bailey’s recently so I might give it a go this year!

PumpkinSpicedTea · 20/09/2023 16:28

Cheese board, Baileys, Mince pies 😋 and lots more that's been mentioned.

I think I'll try the Aldis Baileys and maybe make a Christmas Dinner leftover pie!!

Ballycastle is lovely, I prefer it to Baileys

We did until they changed the recipe. At that point we went to Bailey's!

So glad that the Starbucks toffee nut latte sachets are back in Tesco again this year.

I’ve also spotted these really cute gingerbread mug hangers https://www.ocado.com/products/m-s-gingerbread-mug-hangers-617227011

BMrs · 21/09/2023 19:15

Bubbleandsqueak22 · 21/09/2023 19:50

For all you Bailey’s lovers, have you tried the Nescafé Irish cream instant latte sachets? And a head’s up that Lindor Irish cream truffles are stocked in Tesco https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/314425455

trampoline123 · 23/09/2023 10:33

hollyblueivy · 23/09/2023 16:29

Does anyone know how f the raspberry ripple Aldi baileys type drink is anything like tequila rose?

Lorrymum · 26/09/2023 15:18

Just had an email from M&S with available slots for Christmas food to order. Includes a chocolate Colin the caterpillar in a Christmas jumper! Also some very delicious but pretty expensive goodies.

Mrsfussypants1 · 26/09/2023 16:17

Sainsburys pears in amaretto.
Cheese and chutneys. I only eat cheese at Christmas, the only one in the house who eats it so its all mine.

Silverdogblue · 26/09/2023 16:18

I have a surprise gift of £40 M&S vouchers! Will be scrutinising this thread closely for the BEST things to buy.

mummymayhem18 · 26/09/2023 16:33

@LostThestral I know the ones you mean. I used to have them years and years ago. Cheap and cheerful. Crappy WiFi won't let me post the screenshot. Google Dan Cake rum truffles.

What Christmas goodies are you looking forward to?
mathanxiety · 26/09/2023 17:06

Mince pies - they're the only traditional British-Irish Christmas thing I make, here in the US.
Panettone for breakfast in the week after Christmas.
Pecan pie.

I’m considering trying to make a gluten free panettone this year (unless my useless brother offers to host my dad for the first time ever). OR! Unless anyone has a recommendation for one Grin
