I’m not offering to buy mind you!! Just wondering what people are hoping for this Christmas.

I’d really like some tan leather knee high boots with a comfy/blocky sort of heel, a galvanised wheelbarrow with no painted bits that will peel/non galvanised bits that will rust, and some marzipan fruits…

A potting bench
Binoculars
Journal
Dressing gown
Crocs

RosaSkye · 31/08/2023 17:41

I like your list a lot minus the marzipan!

I would say a nice wine stopper, some tiny chunky gold hoop earrings, and aromatherapy oils/perfume

What l usually get from my two daughters and Grandkids.
Anything that says " Mum" or " Granny" on.
My daughter gets me wonderful thought out gifts.A mug with a photo of my Grandsons on.
She had a story picture book made for me taking me through all four of my Grandsons lives from birth.
Then I'm addicted to slippers.. warm comfy fluffy slippers.Plus l always get some excellent face products..
I am happy with all them kind of things again.
But the most important present is spending time with them.

M&S Irish cream truffles

My husband and I buy our own presents for ourselves up to a budget of £75… we wrap them
up and on Xmas day take half an hour just to ourselves to sit and open them together… it’s lovely.

So far I have bought myself a new Emma Bridgewater mug… (£17)

A shift to every 4 years (like the Olympics) and a ban on talking about it before November.

A shift to every 4 years (like the Olympics) and a ban on talking about it before November.

I wrote, rather rudely, “I fear the Christmas topic is not the place for you”.
And then I noticed this isn’t the Christmas topic.
So I am grovelling, and also thanking the MN fairies for the new editing tool.

Hibernatalie · 31/08/2023 18:08

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 31/08/2023 18:19

Honestly no idea. There is nothing I particularly want at the moment. Find it harder every year - which bugs everyone in the family as I'm always so organised for getting everyone else sorted but never have any ideas for me 😂

Ditto.

Justlurkingmostly · 31/08/2023 18:30

a new refillable water bottle
a boot organiser for my car
the Charlotte Tilbury filter cream
birkenstock clogs

Eachpeachpears · 31/08/2023 18:34

I'd love to spend Christmas day with dh, the DC and Sis in law and her hubby and kids. I always feels nervous suggesting it though, I feel anxious that they'll say no or not say no but be thinking they don't really want to. I'm an anxious person!

Materially I would like new pj's /dressing gown or slippers and a big sloppy kiss from DH. And whatever the DC chooses for me. Last year they bought me a sparkly letter F from poundland that goes on the Xmas tree. None of our names start with F. It's hilarious and I love it

maddiemookins16mum · 31/08/2023 18:45

A rice cooker.

DeathStarCanteenGal · 31/08/2023 18:51

A new sleeping bag. More specifically a fancy down sleeping bag that doesn't have a zip. we go camping, and I hate the nightly ritual of having to wriggle and then zip myself around not my current sleeping bag
And a feminist sweatshirt from Tatty Devine

Positive41 · 31/08/2023 18:59

I'd like to reach my goals-weight and get healthy. That's all i want for me.

OMGitsnotgood · 31/08/2023 19:10

My perfect gifts would be a lovely gin, a big bottle of Baileys, a large box each of Lindor and Ferrero Rocher, and any cookery book I don't have already.

I expect DH will buy me some gym kit, for obvious reasons.

Womblegreen · 31/08/2023 19:17

A Black and Tan, miniature smooth haired dachshund bitch puppy or an Innov-is F580 Sewing/Embroidery/Quilting Machine.
