I failed at eating yesterday which meant I got blotto far too early and wasn't well. Oops! 🙈

But we had a great time anyway and I avoided having to tidy up!

Morning!

Last day off work today. Booooo!

I still need to clean the kitchen (etc) today, after the efforts of de-treeing yesterday. I might pop to the shops too, if I can find time, as I need more bird seed for the allotment birdies! Sorting the house is the main priority though.

Dh is working today and ds wants to go into town. I cleaned the kitchen yesterday luckily but still have washing to do. We don’t have a line outside yet but might take the clothes horse out as it’s really sunny today.

Actually it’s already 10am and we’ve only just got up so probably won’t get round to that by the time the washing finishes (need to put it on first) I’ll need to use the heated airer.

I am staying on the thread this year I have decided 😅 debating putting the decs down today and tomorrow
I need the space back to put away all the new junk toys

We are starting the journey home. We've done a ferry, a drive and now sat in the airport for flight 1. Then it's flight 2 and drive from the airport, then home.
I didn't sleep well last night so trying not be a miserable cow today 😂

Im keeping some of my decs up until next weekend. I'll be home for a few days this week alone then so will use them to get over the holiday blues.

Dd back to being a teen who hates me today so I am ignoring her and getting stuck into finishing cleaning the house (hoovering done, some bins emptied etc) and useful maintenance (like WD40'ing the joints in all the windows so they open smoothly). I can't get into the bathroom at the moment to clean that (which includes last bins) and do that window (most in need!).

Weather tomorrow looks awful, so if I get my paperwork cleared away today, I may get some sewing done in clear space 🤞🤞

Good luck with the travelling Crazy, that sounds like an epic jaunt!

Does anyone have any recommendations for Christmas planners? I usually just use the notes on my phone but I’d like a proper planner where I can plan meals and stuff.

Happy New Year! Our decorations won’t come down until the 6th so I’m still enjoying the festive spirit. I’m excited to give it a good clean though.

@CrazyBaubles safe travels! The northern lights are stunning aren’t they where’s we live we see them fairly often and I’ll never stop being amazed by them.

I still haven’t got the washing hung up. We went into town, dd bought some jeans and I got a new toothbrush holder. We went to greggs too. Now home for hot chocolates, ds needs a shower then it’ll be time to sort dinner and hang the washing up… dh should be home in about an hour hopefully.

Oh I got some pjs in M&S too. I’m desperate for new pyjamas as mine have holes in and see about the years old 😳 I only got one pair but that’s fine for now.

Underwear for me badly needed so brought the other day.

Hello! Decided to finally sign up here as I’m already counting down the days until I put my decorations back up 😁

I got through my list of cleaning jobs, DH folded all clean clothes and did the large ironing pile, we went for a nice lunch and I have since spent a couple of hours sorting work papers upstairs before needing tea and chocolate biscuit cake to keep me going. About to head back up.

Got the decorations all down this afternoon in nap time but now I need to redecorate with all my normal house things.

Also putting away the playpen and converting a corner of the room that it currently occupies into a play corner

I'm off mat leave in about 8 weeks and I have lots I want to sort before I have even less time than before

Argh we missed bin day! It’s usually a Friday and we checked once but then forgot. Ffs.

I have this one Christmas planner

afternoon all, quiet day as didn’t wake up till 9am. I have no idea how we are going to make it into school for 8.30 tomorrow. We did pop out for a drink in town and I did pick up a 2023 calendar that I hadn’t managed to purchase before Christmas. There weren’t many options left so pick up a national trust one, but it was reduced from £11.99 to £3.59 so for that I’m not really complaining. Still waiting for my 2023 planner to be delivered. I feel totally lost not having anywhere to write down stuff to remember.

Awww....DH has just said "I can't believe Christmas is over 😢"

Little does he know I've pretty much done all of DD's Advent Box. I only have to get her Advent Calendar and Hot Chocolate Spoons and it's done. I might cheer myself up on Friday and wrap it all up

My DH has gone to bed early , he feels hot/cold shivery and achey . Hopefully he's not coming down with anything
DH and DS were at the gym today , not for long I think it was busier than usual .
We got the decorations up in the attic so it all looks bland now .

I did order a Cyberjammies robe for DD (that brand comes up frequently on pyjama threads) it'll be for her birthday . She's bundled up in the long plush grey robe she got in her Dec 1st Box till Spring .

I need to order a new loo seat for the bathroom (oh the glamour )

DS was in tears before bed, asking if it would ever be Christmas again, he also told me he has never seen a Christmas tree

He is definitely overtired from the last few weeks bless him

Lovely seeing all the Christmas planners! We are still away, back later. Got a food shop yo do then home to unpack and wash etc. Starting Dry Jan today too!
