Morning (just)!

I failed at eating yesterday which meant I got blotto far too early and wasn't well. Oops! 🙈

But we had a great time anyway and I avoided having to tidy up!

Countdown to next year is go go go! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

I am off to work this morning. Can't really be bothered but that is an every time thing 😄 I am thinking retirement.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/05/2023 07:25

I'd love a pantry too, Puss!

The dog has been walked, so breakfast time for us both now.

215 Afternoon. Scorching weather here - I've cleared the wash basket and have 2 loads on the line.
I also have to keep calling ddog in because he appears determined to bbq himself in the garden 🙄

Stresses continue here. Apparently there are a gazillion ways to access NHS MH services, and all the pathways are connected but don't appear to talk to each other 😡 It's so frustrating so I'm taking a break between phone calls to post here.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 24/05/2023 18:42

Crazy - sorry to hear you're struggling with mental health services, it can be difficult to access help and the Crisis team gatekeep beds but even for people in their own team they can be slightly awkward to deal with.

I don't know if you have a mental health helpline in your region, they are usually the first step or are there crisis cafes (not everywhere, run in conjunction with Mind).

Hope you get things sorted soon x

NoWordForFluffy · 24/05/2023 19:59

Crazy, I'm sorry to hear about the struggle to access help. It's a stupid system and feels like it's designed to thwart.

It's been cracking drying weather again today. Dry, sunny and breezy. Good job too as DS has had to wear PE kit every day this week, and is tomorrow too (when they break up), so we've done a wash as soon as they get home every day as he only has one t-shirt. Luckily(!) we create loads of washing, so we've found enough to make it worthwhile!

213 DH has a tummy bug. Please send loo roll. 😱

GrannyWeatherwaxsBroomstick · 26/05/2023 14:51

Happy Rudolph day (yesterday) everyone 😀.
I'm on square 14 of 49 to make a patchwork blanket for Christmas.
Hate knitting in hot weather so it's going to be a busy autumn 😂

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 26/05/2023 16:09

Granny I am knitting squares to keep my hands from seizing completely, but only on square 2 (it has taken three months to do this much 😂) at this rate it will take me till 2027 to finish my blanket.

Hopefully mrpussycat is bravely soldierng on through his gastro-intestinal upset and you have toilet roll on demand there pussycat (as an IBS sufferer , I feel his pain)

This morning:

washing load on
had a look at my new plants and of course the resident squirrels have had a poke about at them, little tailey gits .

Morning!

It's a gorgeous day here today. I'm currently on a bus going to Preston where I'm catching a train to Edinburgh. My friend is running the half marathon tomorrow, so we're going up to support her.

I hope Mr Puss is feeling a bit better, Puss. We still hold 4 x 12 packs of Brexit bog roll in stock in case of emergencies! Hopefully you haven't run out though. 😬🤣

I had a mad evening yesterday. Worked til 6, then went to the allotment to water. Got back and did a few bits in the garden and washed up. Did my nightly vacuum downstairs (the joys of dog ownership!) then cleaned the bathroom. My most important task was setting my rhubarb vodka going for Christmas! We have so much allotment rhubarb that I needed something else to do with it than eat it, so as I'd bought a bottle of vodka for Christmas with Nectar points the other week, I put it to good use!

We had a Sainsbury's delivery last night, then an Asda one this morning which was almost-free thanks to winning a £20 voucher from work for being Employee of the Month plus 2 x £10 vouchers from the dog walking app which Wreck tipped me off about! (I chose the Asda voucher from work, it wasn't foisted on me!)

Busy, busy. And no rest in Edinburgh either as it's early starts both mornings!

Excellent fluffy! My brother lives in Preston, I’ve not been though.

I’ve got my click and collect and then spent a further £££££ in Tesco got ds some school shorts and dd some pyjamas though plus a couple of small bits for her birthday. Have just hung a load of washing out. Dd is feeling better today so she wants to get out and do something, not sure what though…I’m sure it’ll involve spending money…

Is it a decent coach (with a loo) or just an ordinary bus? I've got a decent bladder but I think knowing there's no toilet would make me need the loo.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/05/2023 14:01

Just a normal coach, no loo! Very relieved I went on the train! 🤣
