Morning (just)!

I failed at eating yesterday which meant I got blotto far too early and wasn't well. Oops! 🙈

But we had a great time anyway and I avoided having to tidy up!

Countdown to next year is go go go! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

Not around much arthritis is giving me hell but after coronation weekend I finally start buying presents and giant Christmas tree baubles for our trees downstairs in the lounge. It’s a communal lounge. Can’t wait to start buying.

WreckTangled · 03/05/2023 17:57

It’s been really warm here today. Dd off school again, GP said he can’t help and we need to wait for paeds. I have a headache.

FireflyGirl · 03/05/2023 22:45

I spent a couple of hours at the allotment this morning, digging out the beds, planting my peas and shovelling horse poo. My arms and nose are very pink!

Had a very brave mummy blackbird pinching all the worms out of the bits I just dug, she was only a foot or so away from me.

I'm not surprised you have a headache, Wreck. Your poor DD, do you have a timescale for paeds?

Morning!

Firefly, the robins and blackbirds do that at our allotment too. It's lovely! I also put bird feed out, which they're walloping through at the moment.

I went to water and put more beans in yesterday evening. The runner beans did the floppy thing when I moved them! 🤣🤣

The dog had a good walk this morning. We're both tired!

Crazy, your seedlings are doing well by the sound of it. I'm just pleased my tomatoes are growing well, considering they're in an unheated greenhouse with 8 layers of fleece overnight. At last count I had 45 chilli seedlings, which is 3/4 germinated. I think that'll do!

Firefly the gp said we should ring next week if we haven’t heard and hopes it’ll be quicker as it’s come from another consultant. She’s too unwell to go in again today, I did try but she looked awful and started crying.

Voting day today. Could it be the day we’ve all been waiting for after 24 years of a blue majority?!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/05/2023 19:51

Sneaks in to bag the countdown

234 I love numbers in sequence <saddo alert>

Wreck hopefully you'lll hear soon re your DD appointment , it is a nightmare waiting , you're in limbo .

I dragged DD to Lakeside today , didn't fancy it on Sat or Mon and on a Sunday I have to cook dinner and take my DS to his guitar class (no rest for the wicked)

It was quite busy , more people than me had the same idea !

NoWordForFluffy · 05/05/2023 21:10

Evening.

We've just sat down. I went straight to Sainsbury's after dinner then moved the furniture round the lounge, as the new cabinet arrived today. I've had to order an aerial extension cable from Prime to arrive tomorrow. For tonight, we're sticking to iPlayer etc.

The room and the TV look bigger. It's odd. 🤣

We’ve had a really good week. The jazz fest is on and we went to see Santana yesterday and plan to see Dead & Company tomorrow. There’s been loads of stuff for DD to do there too which I was worried about. I’ve been keeping an eye on my tomatoes but don’t see any signs of sprouting just yet.

Sorry to hear life is stressful at the minute, crazy. I hope your DN enjoys the grinch colouring book. My little cousins love the grinch so last Christmas they booked ‘the grinch’ to come to their house on Christmas Eve to give them some presents and apparently the kids crapped themselves and wouldn’t go near the grinch😂.

Ah wreck, I hope DD can get sorted soon, bless her.

I bet the living room feels quite strange, fluffy.

Morning!

Dog has been walked and I'm back home for breakfast before going for haircuts.

We're going to the in-laws' for a Coronation party type thing. I'm not arsed but the kids are interested.

The lounge does feel a bit odd. It's good though.

Morning, been shopping early - may have bought too many cream cakes (DH can eat them while I watch the 👑).

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 06/05/2023 09:57

Hi folks. Had a day at the zoo with my work colleagues, the last couple of years we have had a relax and reconnect day. I struggled with the walking but one of my colleagues stayed with me so we could go slowly. I am absolutely shattered today but it was a lovely time.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 06/05/2023 09:58

I missed the word yesterday out of my previous post because my brain decided to misfire at the wrong point 🤣

Palindrome

See, I told you I was easily amused [fbush]

I have acid reflux, I blame the licorice I ate , it seemed like a good idea at the time , but not now . . I'll swig some Alpro then off to bed .

I watched a bit of the Coronation and said to DH "Oh there's Louis and Charlotte , maybe George is in the procession?"

And DH said "Who's George" ? 100% seriously .
<sigh>

WreckTangled · 07/05/2023 20:21

We didn’t watch the coronation. We went into town today for a milkshake, dd managed an hour out then we had to come home and go back to bed. I can’t see her going back to school Tuesday, she’s already need off for a week but, unlike previously, she’s not getting any respite this time.

It's wet again! So the dog and I got wet on our walk. 🌧️ Which ended up being longer than usual as he kept deciding to veer off down his favourite roads / alleys (after checking with me that it was OK!).

No plans of note today due to the rain being here all day. I need to clean the kitchen, which I saved from yesterday, and might clean / tidy other areas of the house too. We need to tape the cables in the front room and get the surround sound plugged back in after the move.

We watched some of the coronation as the kids were interested due to school. It was very long. The processional marching was amazing. It just looks brilliant!

I transferred my last dwarf beans over to the allotment yesterday, along with my pumpkins and courgettes plus my sunflowers. We have a grow a sunflower competition at work, and my seeds arrived the other day, so I sowed those yesterday. (I really want to win! 🤣🌻)

We had a BBQ yesterday. It was lovely. I've caught the sun a bit! The dog enjoyed his BBQ'd salmon. 😋

NoWordForFluffy · 08/05/2023 08:59

You can't have a gif and a photo in the same post. So here's the dog enjoying salmon!

Aww love the photo of FluffyDog

He'll convince you he neeeds salmon 'cos it's good for his coat with all the Omega oils . Xmas Grin

Our cats convince me that they neeeed to share DS's Sunday chicken -no reason, they just like it Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 08/05/2023 16:51

He has salmon oil on his breakfast every day. Plus a pouch of salmon once or twice a week. Nothing compares to BBQ'd salmon it seems!

He shares chicken when we have it too. If he's lucky, he may get some duck tonight too! 😋

Morning, hope everyone had a nice bank hol - I'm knackered DS is really living up to the terrible twos at the moment bless him he just gets so worked up over what seems like nothing. Won't do anything that is offered or suggested to him everything is a huge battle all the time, food, getting dressed, leaving the house, sharing all the normal stuff. We nearly had to cancel going to our coronation plans at my DMs because he was so upset and angry at the thought of going in the car seat that he bloody bit me!
Hopefully he grows out of it soon 😓

NoWordForFluffy · 09/05/2023 13:43

Oh, that takes me back. I once had a stand off with DD in a car park when she refused point blank to get into her seat. Nothing short of hurting her would have got her in!

IT are having to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office, so I'm just loitering waiting to be told it's safe to go back on my computer.

I'm giving blood later. Having to drink loads so the blood flows well!

229 Morning: seems we'll be in the 100's soon Xmas Shock

I'm feeling sorry for myself today. TMI but period cramps are trying to kill me 😩

No major plans today, work (and the big dept meeting), then I'm cooking sausage, mash and onion gravy and spending my evening chilling out.
It feels like a good day for a Christmas film but I'll resist as my dad is staying with me and he'll think I'm bonkers!

pussycatinfluffyslippers · 10/05/2023 12:39

fluffy we have starling chicks Grin I'd almost forgotten how loud they are.
crazy just find a film 🍿 you both like, then snuggle up with your dad. Mine always liked war films...not really snuggleable and he always fell asleep.
Wreck how's your DD?

NoWordForFluffy · 10/05/2023 12:44

Here is the first one to emerge. Shouting for food! 🤣🤣 They're deafening. When the adults are all doing their crow impressions to protect the chicks it's even louder!

Watch a film, Crazy. I'm sure your dad will cope! Xmas Grin

I've had 3, all feeding themselves (mealworms, sultanas and suet pellets) but still having a moan at any passing "grown up" starling...or woodpigeon, sparrow, blackbird...🤦‍♀️

WreckTangled · 10/05/2023 16:50

Still not good. Off school and unable to do anything really
