Morning (just)!

I failed at eating yesterday which meant I got blotto far too early and wasn't well. Oops! 🙈

But we had a great time anyway and I avoided having to tidy up!

Countdown to next year is go go go! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

You're allowed booze with breakfast at airports! #itsthelaw

I've been to the allotment and built a gate to complete the puppy-proofing of it. It's a rather fetching gate if I do say so myself. 😁 (All the photos are too big to attach on here.)

I also moved the bath I have, where I'll grow carrots, to its final position and filled it with compost. I just need some sand to add to it, and it'll be ready.

Where are you off to, Crazy?

Ha! Yes DH had a pint of Beamish with his airport breakfast years ago (I think now his poor bladder wouldn't cope a flight-length with a pint of beer guddling about in there )

I have an image of FluffyPup sitting nicely on alert in the allotment , but IRL he'll probably be eyeballing birds and digging up worms Xmas Wink

TribeD · 19/02/2023 15:37

Anyone want my dog?

Bloody hound found a very muddy puddle on our walk earlier and laid down in it. This puddle also made him deaf until I marched over to him shouting "HOME!" at which point he legged it in the other direction.

He is now giving me 🥺 "sorry mum" eyes.

Always4Brenner · 19/02/2023 15:59

Quiet for me no christmas stuff yet as Coronation and london trip in March have took over in saving and buying but that will change the minute that’s over.

CrazyBaubles · 19/02/2023 17:24

Oh dear TribeD. Dogs can be so contrary!
I remember a man laughing at DH once because ddog stopped when called but everytime DH got near him with the lead he'd move very slightly out of reach and after the 3rd time DH caught him and told him off while clipping the lead back on - "Right, you clearly can't be trusted so you're not allowed off the lead again for a week" 😂

No booze for me this morning Fluffy. I had a rubbish night sleep last night (airport hotel) then an early start. I think a drink would have tipped me into 🤢 territory.

I'm in Italy - we checked in and have been out wandering, seeing the sights and having lunch (pasta and wine obviously) Grin
Need to rest my feet (13000 steps so far) and plan what to do with our evening so we're back in our room for a little while.

I'm Christmas planning though - I've bought a bauble (first shop we saw was a gift shop with a lovely Christmas section Xmas Grin and I started a scarf for MIL on the flight)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/02/2023 18:18

Enjoy Italy Crazy

I saw Murano Glass on holiday , Christmas baubles ( this was in May Xmas Grin ) but I cannot risk anything fragile due to les chats

But in keeping with the sirit of the thread I;ve ordered some Christmas socks for DD !

AdoraBell · 19/02/2023 18:58

Italy Envy hope you enjoy your trip.

Socks for stocking fillers arrived today. I’m buying things DDs need and also building up their kitchen utensils etc. For DD1 I took advantage of an online offer for Le Creuset, bought spatulas and a silicone thing (technical term) for hot pans. I need to get a different colour for DD2.

I threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain which is supposed to ensure good luck and a return to Rome . Such a lot we didn't see there so a return is non negotiable Xmas Grin

DD is giving up ice-cream for Lent so tomorrow we'll have pancakes , bananas ,syrup and ice-cream to finish the tub.
I haven't eaten chocolate since Christmas Day so I;ll look for some nice chocolate and send a link to my DS for Mothers Day .
We still have After Eights and a Terrys Chocolate Orange from Christmas , DS made some crispy cakes with some Dairy Milk . And still some Hallowe'en sweets in the pantry .

Must check if they are actually my DS, they seem faulty Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 20/02/2023 21:57

Evening!

Busy day trying to catch up with work and a court has listed a short notice hearing in tomorrow morning to vacate a Trial next month. All very exciting, as I've not done a telephone hearing in a LONG time!

I'm hoping Ddog's training tomorrow includes how to keep him to heel during walks (or at least walking at a normal bloody speed!). I'm being towed round the streets at present; it's a nightmare!

Fluffpup I hope you behaved at training!

Not much going on here at Tribe Towers, we're all feeling a bit 😐 at the moment so we've ordered in a pizza for tea.

CrazyBaubles · 21/02/2023 18:32

Evening. We've done so many steps I feel like my feet might fall off.
Have had a relax in the hotel and a shower etc. Now getting g ready to go out for tea - pasta again obviously 😋

Hope the hearing went well Fluffy and sorry you're feeling a bit flat TribeD. Gin Gin?

Always4Brenner · 21/02/2023 18:53

Evening all (said in a Dixon of Dock Green voice )

Hopefullly your feet haven;t detached themselves Crazy and you are still enjoying Italy . Have you had gellato yet ? We did in Sardinia , two cones -double scoop- for 5 euros , I had pistachio and caramel , very nice Xmas Grin

Had pancakes yesterday for dinner (one night of eating dessert for dinner won;t harm me , hopefully )

TribeD · 22/02/2023 20:10

Thanks for the Gin! Been rather busy today - so far I've taken 4 bags to the charity shop and there is at least 4 bags of rubbish I've cleared out of the loft!

Where does all the stuff come from? I'm actually really good (or so I thought) at not being a collector of crap.

CrazyBaubles · 22/02/2023 21:48

Evening! We've had a busy day

70 I was forced to eat gelato on our first day here. I had a scoop of caramel and 1 of cookie. It was lovely but melted so fast!

My feet are still attached (barely) but we moved from city to coast today and although we have things planned for the next few days, it's more wandering around pretty towns and less walking miles around city landmarks etc so hopefully that will help.

TribeD I wish I knew the answer to that. We seem to accumulate stuff randomly - I blame DH!

Morning!

DH is the cause of clutter and hoarding here too. Pisses me off.

Ddog has had me up since just before 5. I'm knackered and in a bad mood!

Ooohhh getting close to the two hundreds Xmas Grin

Doing the 2nd washing load -never flippin' ends- some vacuuming later and food shop.
The glamour .

I've never had a puppy Fluffy my DParents adopted a retired Guide Dog who was middle aged and sedate , but I don;t envy you The Puppy Years Xmas Wink

CrazyBaubles · 24/02/2023 10:27

Morning. It's 11:25 here and I'm still in bed Blush. Apparently Italy makes me lazy!

We went to Amalfi yesterday on a bus. I had to shut my eyes the corners were so tight and the drop on the side was so high. Nice little town though - we went to a bakery that has won awards for its lemon delight cake and I can understand why, they were lovely.

Spending today in the little town we're staying in so it'll be a relatively quiet day wandering around as we have a big touristy day tomorrow.

Not looking forward to the washing when we get home, although I can't wait to get ddog back (even though he's having the time of his life with MIL who has sent me pics of him enjoying pigs ears, running around with her chickens and ducks and sleeping in front of the fire with her dogs).

I should be heading up the old wooden hill now .....

Enjoy your Big Tourisy Day Crazy and keep your handbag welded to your side , crossbody , eyes in the back of your head .

NoWordForFluffy · 25/02/2023 07:24

Morning!

You're not lazy, Crazy. You've walked loads. You also need to rest; it's a holiday after all.

D(for dickhead)dog had me up at 4.50am again today. He doesn't do this with DH. Xmas Angry I've taken him for a 40 minute walk, so he's now asleep. Alright for him!

I'm off to Sainsbury's soon, then it's housework time!

Just got back from Morrisons. We have to go early or we're blocked in...🤬
NDN currently on day 20 of having a new kitchen fitted (and yes, the fitters have been here every.flippin'.day Shock
Their front "garden" gravel is covered in their old kitchen, white goods, pallets, packaging and at least a dozen black bin sacks...their cat was shredding one of them last night.😸
Not sure why they haven't, oh, I dunno...hired a massive skip 🤦‍♀️
DH keeps telling me to "keep the peace"...🤷‍♀️ I've told him I'm NEVER having a new kitchen. Grin

WreckTangled · 25/02/2023 11:17

That’s really annoying puss dh would always have a skip and it would just be included in the cost.

Dd is in town with a friend (again). Dh at work (again). I’ve got a click and collect to get in a bit, apparently they didn’t have any cereal bars or subs 🤨 so I’ll have to go in and get some. Food is extortionate it’s just insane. I could do with losing a few pounds though so this should help…

NoWordForFluffy · 25/02/2023 11:21

You need a dog, Wreck. I'm losing weight with all the walking! 🐶 🚶‍♀️

I need to clean the bathroom still. And also go to collect stuff from the pet shop for the dog.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 25/02/2023 13:12

We’d love a dog! Not possible with us both out of the house all day though
