Morning (just)!

I failed at eating yesterday which meant I got blotto far too early and wasn't well. Oops! 🙈

But we had a great time anyway and I avoided having to tidy up!

Countdown to next year is go go go! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻

Morning. No snow here today but there is thick ice on my car and the roads don't look great.
Apparently we're hitting the dizzying heights of 5° today though 🥵

Very quiet day planned here - work, clean bathroom, clear washing basket, walk dog and cross stitch or crochet.

I found one of the Bothy Threads New England kits when I was sorting through my stash - thought it was new but I've apparently done around 100 stitches so it's on my list of projects to finish before I can start anything new. 2 down, 4 to go (I have a half made Christmas gnome, the first quarter of a crochet cushion cover, an almost completed crocheted avengers blanket and now the started cross stitch. Exciting stuff

No it’s the suspension. Bush/springs something or other. We’re getting another car I’m fed up of it now. Dh reminded me I can’t get a new car every time mine breaks down but he’s in agreement this time. Just sorted the car insurance, now need to renew roadside cover and house insurance.

Need to work on my other assignment too, my lecturer gave me some really nice feedback with words such as ‘wow, very impressive and so clearly got it’ so that was nice.

Freezing here too, loads of roads closed due to flooding which is a nightmare. Oh I need to clean my car out too it’s disgusting 😂

When will you look at replacing your car Wreck?
Mine wouldn't start when we got back from our holiday a week or so ago (flat battery) and I threw a bit of a wobbly about wanting a new one

Rubbish day here, I didn't get the promotion I went for. Admittedly I was skipping the next level and aiming for 2 steps up but still, I feel rubbish.
Tomorrow I'll start prepping for the next step as that should be coming around room but tonight I'm going to drink rum and feel a bit sorry for myself.

That's a shame about the promotion Crazy but definitely have a wallow this evening then get ready for the next stage. It is understandable you would feel discombobulated about it, however high you were aiming.

Ah sorry to hear that crazy you’re well ahead of the people who don’t even try though. We’re getting a new car tomorrow 😅

We’re getting a qashqai again (like I had on lease before).

Ds is in a good mood this morning which is good. I’m back at work for the first time since Monday, luckily it’s just half a day!

Next week we have the first Rudolph Day of 2023 🦌which means January is nearly over (thank goodness)

It's misty and frosty here and I really don't fancy going out, but it's Saturday and we've got a day full of things to do. what's everyone else got planned?

Hope the new car is here Wreck , I do like Nissans myself , I was having a faff about with the screen on the dashboard on mine and found out how to direct the warmth to my feet . Reading the bloody handbook would've helped ..........!

Yesterday was taking DH to an appointment , getting haircut and general housework things . I did suggest to DH and the DC that went for something to eat yesterday (Spoons ) but they looked at me in horror . I think it was being seen out with their Mother not the Wetherspoons that appauled them .

Today is more laundy (it never ends ) and Costco.
Then if I have the will to live , shampoo the hall carpet .

Frozen solid here too. Just at the opticians with the dc dd is hoping she needs new glasses.

I had a qashqai before so know I like them and am comfortable driving it which is the main thing.

What’s Rudolph day? Friend gave Christmas things she didn’t t want decorations a gorgeous reindeer mug etc so I’ve put them away not looked at many so a nice surprise December the first that’s when all my red stuff will come out though the tree goes up 18th. Be glad when January is over but much better than other January’s for decades.

Rudolph Day is the 25th of each month from January-November

I have a spiral bound A5 notebook , I;ve already put "Buy mini panatonne and Waitrose Lucious Lemon Curd" in mine as a reminder for next Christmas

I’ve got my washing outside. I know fluffy will be pleased. Our garden is such a sun trap.

Dd is in town with friends, it’s taking all of my self control not to message her every five minutes and ask if she’s ok 😅

Our washing was put out last night and was very frosty this morning! I'm sure it'll dry though!

We've just bought a puppy! It's very unimpressed currently, on the way home. Not sure he's a fan of the car.

We've been out all day looking at cars. Not going to buy one just yet but looking anyway. It's been a boring day, apart from a brief stop at the local craft shop to buy fabric to back the blanket I made.

Home now and it it cold 🥶 Heating is on and I'm just about to change into fleece pj bottoms and jumper (lucky DH, I'm such a glamorous wife).

Looking forward to Rudolph day. I want to start a Christmas craft project on each Rudolph day, with the hope of it being completed before the next one 🤞🏼

That sounds like a good plan Crazy. Both this Christmas and last I have managed to get through my crafting list - mostly by starting around Valentines Day 😂

Great idea isn’t it means we count down each month and write in our planners I love it. Great idea keeps the winter gloom away as well for a few minutes. In another idea think this time in 11 months our decs will be up again. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
