i left it to DM to decide as a large turkey is expensive and nobody likes it much anyway - we prefer chicken
so we have chicken
my ds, who is cooking, is disappointed.
this is the first year apart from the 15 vegetarian years when i havent had turkey

what meat are you having?

Lampzade · 25/12/2022 09:57

Don’t like Turkey
We are having chicken, lamb and salmon

Purplecatshopaholic · 25/12/2022 09:59

We’re having an Indian take away - did it last year and it was fab, totally took the stress out of the whole thing.

Someo · 25/12/2022 10:00

Turkey, ham and beef. Christmas Dinner is DPs favourite meal and things about Christmas so he goes overboard.

I'm not cooking it though so I don't mind.😆

FfeminyddCymraeg · 25/12/2022 10:01

Turkey and a rib of beef here 😋

Whiskyinajar · 25/12/2022 10:01

We are having Beef Wellington which my sister in law is cooking.

Can't wait x

Wombat27A · 25/12/2022 10:02

Sausages. Think I might have a go at sausage gravy too...

countrygirl99 · 25/12/2022 10:03

Beef as usual

ofwarren · 25/12/2022 10:03

Chicken and a ham.
None of us enjoy Turkey

Crazy8 · 25/12/2022 10:04

Slow roasted leg of lamb in a marinade (marinated for 24 hours) of oil, garlic, chilli, salt and pepper and then covered and cooked for 6 hours in red wine and stock.

midsomermurderess · 25/12/2022 10:07

Pork belly. I haven’t had turkey in decades.

SecretVictoria · 25/12/2022 10:10

Having an Indian takeaway, so will have chicken.

eatdrinkandbemerry · 25/12/2022 10:10

Turkey and beef 😋

MistyIsland · 25/12/2022 10:11

We have a pork joint with crackling for the kids

Dh & I will be having a beef wellington (which I need to start making)

I also have a £4 turkey (reduced from £60) which I may cook tomorrow.

I also have a gammon joint…

For 4 people I have a lot of food 😂

Chinnegan · 25/12/2022 10:12

Smoked, marinated tofu with shitake mushrooms, mushroom gravy, spice apple red cabbage, and Yorkshire puds. The kids are having gammon and sausages with that too. Probably roast potatoes too.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 25/12/2022 10:14

Gammon here. Tastier and easier to cook. We much prefer it, apart from fil who has the cheek to moan he didn’t get turkey and has never ever invited me for dinner at his.

Blowyourowntrumpet · 25/12/2022 10:16

We're having fish pie

CoffeandTiaMaria · 25/12/2022 10:20

Porchetta, it’s the first time in 46 years that it’s not sodding turkey. I only like the dark meat but couldn’t get a turkey thigh.
DH will moan…..🙄

CrunchyCarrot · 25/12/2022 10:30

We never have turkey - don't like it. Today we'll be having a pork chop with roasties for him and a grilled salmon with roasties for me!

dudsville · 25/12/2022 10:32

The plan was always for a bit today but then i found a nice looking plant bars concoction , so i was looking forward to that but it has what in it and guest is gluten free... so i look forward to gorging on that tomorrow perhaps!

Giggorata · 25/12/2022 10:34

Just DH and me, so beef and lamb today.

sleepismyhobby · 25/12/2022 10:35

I make a Christmas day pizza every year goes down well

jamdonut · 25/12/2022 10:41

heidihigh · 25/12/2022 10:42

We're at the PIL's for dinner but I don't think we're having turkey. I believe it's pork Xmas Smile

TheFormidableMrsC · 25/12/2022 10:43
