Anyone else poorly this Christmas?

Had antibiotics last week, finished those but still poorly.

haf a Christmas/birthday weekend away cancelled, a visit to a local light show, and tonight a Christmas meal with friends.

I feel like I’ll be spending Christmas in my pyjamas and on the sofa just trying to recover from this stupid virus!

Anyone else poorly at the moment? Hope you have a relaxing Christmas!

Yes, almost two weeks in with Covid and am gutted we won't be able to visit family for Christmas.

We had loads of nice things planned in the run up to Christmas and I've missed it all!

Currently abroad, supposedly visiting Christmas markets but actually stuck in hotel room with child with Scarlet fever. Supposed to be flying back tomorrow- just as strikes start. No Christmas food shop online as I forgot to checkout and all the key things are out of stock. Had planned to buy lots of presents here but that’s not happened either! Currently surviving on yoghurts and petrol station food, not sure if we can fly home tomorrow-waiting for call back. I’m sure I will be able to laugh about it in years to come!

I felt a bit poorly on Tuesday, so awful yesterday that I laid down all day, not as bad today thankfully so hopeful 🤞

DS10 has had a sickness bug since Tue, DS9 has been put on antibiotics as he has had a really high temp and cough and has been keeping us up through the night coughing. I’ve tested positive for Covid and feel rough. We were meant to go to my mums for Christmas lunch and she’s tested positive and so has my Nan.
We have all agreed to postpone Christmas lunch until next week now and just hoping we can all fight it off by then. It sucks OP sorry you aren’t feeling well

We've passed around norovirus between us this week, caught from soft play

I'm sooooooooo ill. Had a cough and cold for weeks which I think has now gone to my chest.

I'm working right up till Christmas Day too, and I sound so dreadful I'm scaring the customers.

Yep had tonsillitis a couple of weeks ago. Now flu. On the mend but don't think I will be living it up this Xmas.

Plenty of bugs here too. Two chest infections, one stomach bug and one covid…. Glorious. Not.

I ache. My lymph nodes ache. I'm so tired. I have a slight sore throat. I feel nauseous. I want to sleep. I've had a flu jab and it's not covid. But it's so so weird I don't like it at all.

I've just started today. Sore throat, headache, achey joints and so tired. 4 year olds asleep and keeps having a coughing fit every few minutes aswell. Please be a short bug 😞

Yes. Woke up with a scratchy throat atv5am yesterday, by 8am voice had gone. Temp, glands up, tired, sore throat and ears...joyous. just hope the rest of family dont come down with it now

DD (11) has gone to bed early with a temperature, DS (13) is coughing and DH isn't feeling great 😬 I'm currently the last one standing 🫣

Just come down with a cold today. The kids had it this weekend, I hope we recover v soon to do family visiting.

DH has a very bad chest infection, doc gave him antib’s yesterday, I’m nearly two weeks in with one, still feel rough. We should be spending Christmas at our son’S for a couple of days. We’ll just make the best of it at home, but I’m sad not to see the DGC.

Hope everyone feels better really soon 💐 I'm in bed waiting to take more painkillers. The joint pains the worst, whenever I get ill or run down its my wrists, breastbone, knees and ankles that really hurt. I'm only 33!

Just finished work for Christmas and tested positive for covid today 😫 Third time this year

Yep. Day 10 of being pretty much bed bound. Feel 100 times worse than I did with covid last year. My house is a tip etc etc.

I've had the flu which doc thinks he's become bronchitis. Feel wretched. Been in bed since Monday, haven't finished Christmas shopping or wrapped anything and will miss special day out with kids tomorrow - feel so bad as my daughter was crying earlier

Sorry to hear this. Those places are germ ridden pits. Took my two once in all the time they were little.

Currently Covid positive in this house. My Parents now can’t come over for Christmas. Have had a massive food shop delivered but what can you do. Gutted is an understatement. Especially as my husband is back working abroad for months again in two weeks time.

Have they had ABs Appreciate it’s harder being abroad.

The rules here (well for school) are ABs for 24 hours and then you can return to school, assuming they are well of course.

I wonder if the airline will have a similar policy.
