Show me your Christmas tree / decorations please. In need of inspiration

Show me your photos of your Christmas tree and/or decorations please. I'm needing inspiration this year to get going and try different things as I'm such a basic decorations person that i want to make more of an effort this year as everything has been rather glum.

This is mine. Always have a real one. Love the smell when I go down in the morning

First fake one in years. Took me AGES to fluff the branches.

Your tree looks lovely, all the trees and decorations on here do!
I totally agree it is hard work fluffing out the branches.
It’s definitely not a quick job, it takes ages. Luckily I usually have help. It’s worth it in the end though.

Yes, I love them all too! Even the ones that I wouldn’t necessarily choose for my own house, style wise, I still love them because they are loved by their owners and bring joy to them. Whether it be warm white or bright light or multicoloured lights, real or artificial, tinsel or ribbon, perfectly coordinated or random decorations collected over many years, they are all pretty and You’re so right, they ARE happy little things.

Mine is still bundled up in the greenhouse as I have covid and can't be arsed. Your trees have given me the impetus to Get It Done (and collapse with a hot toddy afterwards).

@PledgeDusterMop your fake tree is the best one I've seen. I bought a small tree from Christmas Tree World and it's also pretty good, but yours is very impressive!

Here's my real tree in the sitting room and small fame tree in the kitchen.

Our main tree is artificial. Decorations collected over the years, many from our travels. We have a second tree in our dining room a little smaller and that one is exclusively decorated in dog breed baubles. We're dog lovers.

This is mine, articificial one with lot of holes after years of use. It takes lot of time to fill that holes. I know it is not instagram worth, but it makes me so happy in the evening when kids are in bed

I’m fortunate to have a family that likes to help with it and time since retirement to spend on it.
We usually put it up a few days before decorating . This gives us all time to tweak bits of it before adding the baubles, which seems to work for us .

I have loved seeing all the trees and decorations. They are all beautiful and bring so much joy .

My trees are a link to the past, a yearly reminder of good times and not so good, to the people we shared those times with and those no longer with us who shared the love , laughter , sadness and joy .

Sorry I’m being a bit reflective this morning. I’ll lighten my thoughts by sharing a few more pics of favourite baubles, my kitchen radiator cover and front door wreath.

This Peter Pan ornament is probably the most beautiful I have ever seen.

My tree is fake. (Floor uneven in our house and we had some disasters trying to get real trees to balance.) Have always gone for a mish-mash type of tree so I can put anything on it I fancy. Decorations range from super-traditional to modern. From classy to silly. I think the best thing with Christmas trees is not to overthink it....

Here is mine. Somehow it passes for a fairly traditional tree even though it is decorated with dinosaurs, giraffes, astronauts and various things my children have made.

Here's mine. It's a real Fraser fir, which I like because it's narrow to fit in my small house, and smells good and the needles stay on.

We have a mishmash of decorations. I try to get a new decoration each year to symbolise something special about the year. We also bake spicy biscuits to hand from the tree. Sometimes they are tasteful like the fake gingerbread decorations you can buy, but this year my kids found a pack of edible eye decorations and made biblically accurate angels and other horrifying creations.

My tree which I know is a miss mash but I loves it!

This is my favourite on here :) love the tinsel and the retro look! This is ours. It’s a real one and has a funny gap in the middle!
