Just for context they live together and are in their thirties.
So far I have put in:-

A bottle of pink champagne
Two boxes of luxury chocolates
A luxury jar of honey
Chocolate covered cashews
A really nice candle
I'm getting some bath bombs too

Please can anyone suggest something else as I am a bit stumped ?

Thanks

I'm doing a hamper for ds1 and put some things in from Ringtons. Their biscuits are superior to any we've had. I only use their instant coffee any other tastes bitter now. They're northern but I think they deliver? We have a Ringtons man comes in his Ringtons van 🙂

Decent coffee beans
Jar of posh cheese accompaniment, like jersey black butter
Nice cracker
Fancy biscuits

Get some bits from fortnum and Mason. They have lovely jams, biscuits, tea, etc

AnneShirleysNewDress · 09/12/2022 22:05

Cashmere bed socks

AnneShirleysNewDress · 09/12/2022 22:06

And no to the sexy candle 😂

CaramelizedNuts · 09/12/2022 22:08

One of the nice fancy tins of loose leaf tea from F&M.

If you are close by I'd pay a visit to them. Pick up a few bits 😀

PenguinLove1 · 09/12/2022 22:09

Most People in their 30s do not want fancy chutneys and jam for Christmas 😂

Champagne only if you know they like it, or maybe a bottle of gin and different mixers? Then a cinema voucher and a just eat voucher for a takeaway?

Bewitched005 · 09/12/2022 22:11

I wouldn't mix foodstuffs with other products, tbh.

Smoked salmon (they can freeze it until needed).

Posh pâtes such as venison, duck or wild boar.

Selection of curry sauces.

Good croissants and pain au chocolat (to freeze)

Selection of posh jams and chutneys.

Selection of cheeses

Posh cheese biscuits

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 09/12/2022 22:12

@PenguinLove1 Speak for your self! DH is a cheese fiend (mid 30's) and lives for chutney. We're Jewish so don't get Christmas hampers, but he loves to receive some on Purim

StClare101 · 09/12/2022 22:16

Tea and coffee
posh jam and relish
a champagne stopper
posh crackers to go with cheeses etc.

Fink · 09/12/2022 22:18

Cheese

... and maybe some other stuff. I wouldn't be bothered about crackers, I prefer cheese with bread anyway. Nice honey (which you've already got) goes well with soft cheeses.

Nice biscuits. Chocolate, not for cheese. (as another dairy product, chocolate is allowed to exist in its own right)

I'd definitely separate the non-food smelly stuff (candles and bath bombs) from the food hamper, as pp have sugested.

Florentines or macarons, something like that? Really nice crackers, chutney, mustard, coffee - beans or ground depending on what coffee machine they have - or tea, Turkish delight, macadamia nuts.

We do a gift bag of homemade treats for my dad for Xmas - not as high end, but he loves home made marmalade, lemon curd, chutney and granola, I make Thomasina Meier's dark chocolate Christmas granola in a big kilner jar

GettingStuffed · 09/12/2022 22:22

If you're near a Waitrose Heston's lemon mince pies , he also does one with figs in cheese pastry, or the browned butter ones by far better than anything else I've tried

JulesJules · 09/12/2022 22:24

Look at Belazu for gorgeous ingredient things, harissa, zoug, tapenade, love their chilli and garlic pesto etc

Ragwort · 09/12/2022 22:26

Curious I loved that link to Ringtons, what a fascinating history and a wonderful service still available today. Thank you for sharing.

Newuser82 · 09/12/2022 22:29

Some nice crackers , cheese and chilli jam!

And they’re not much at all but great quality.

Sorry, are you saying £190 for two glasses is 'not much at all'? ConfusedHmm I think it might be, considering the OP's items so far are about £5-25 each.

I (mid 30s) would love a nice cured meats selection, or a food parcel from e.g. Borough Market or Good Sixty.

NoDairyNoProblem · 09/12/2022 22:31

I wouldn’t mix food and bath stuff.

I'm in my 30’s (granted the tail end) and I would love a luxury hamper with stuff from a deli etc not supermarket staples.

A few suggestions

Wine:
champagne
malbec
sancerre

artisan crackers
stem ginger biscuits
olive oil
rock salt
dried mushrooms
risotto rice
pasta
pesto
coffee beans
chocolates

tea towel
mugs
wine glasses

I have the other side to them.Took full advantage of my poor gran as she fell deep into dementia.kept coming, kept lying cheating manipulating her to buy. Even after we phoned and explained. The bloke new exactly what he was doing each week.100s and 100s lost.

What shape is your hamper. If it's rectangular then separate it into 2 sections diagonally, in one put the edibles and in the other the luxury bath items, gloves, mini hot water bottles etc.
