Just for context they live together and are in their thirties.
So far I have put in:-

A bottle of pink champagne
Two boxes of luxury chocolates
A luxury jar of honey
Chocolate covered cashews
A really nice candle
I'm getting some bath bombs too

Please can anyone suggest something else as I am a bit stumped ?

Thanks

We used to get ringtons, kids loved the ginger biscuits. I had to unfortunately ask him to stop coming as it was getting too pricey.
Ok for a Christmas treat or, as I used to do, for the school holidays.

Such a lovely idea! Personally I prefer savoury to sweet so I'd like olives, crackers, nuts, spices like a little jar of saffron, fancy pink salt, chilli sauces etc

Look at Belazu for gorgeous ingredient things, harissa, zoug, tapenade, love their chilli and garlic pesto etc

Yes! Preserved lemons 🍋 beautiful in a steamed pudding and make the best tagine!!

M & s is too cheap for a luxury hamper I would say. For me definitely something from harrods, Harvey Nicolas or f & m.

vacuum packed Palma ham. Lidl has some for Xmas that comes with it's own mini chopping board and a knife

ChristmasJoysuckers · 10/12/2022 08:08

What on earth is. "sexy", candel??

Op it seems it's all covered and I just wanted to say what an absolutely lovely idea.
Personal, tasty treats bespoke to what they like.

I would love to receive something like this even on a very small scale.

I wouldn’t say M&S was too cheap... They have been doing luxury really well for years now. “this is M&S food” and all that...

I’d keep toiletries & food separate. Bath bombs are very strong!

Nice foodie stuff:

Torres truffle crisps
Perello tinned olives
belazu balsamic vinegar
chambord liqueur to make kir/kir royale
good panettone (eg flamigni)
anything from Brindisa-cured meats etc in vac pack

These are the kind of things I would like! A lot of things people put in hampers are actually not that nice but all of the above are my favourites.

Strugglingtodomybest · 10/12/2022 08:17

I would definitely not add bath bombs or candles to a good hamper (and I wouldn't want to receive them either, but that's just me, seemingly the only person on the planet who doesn't appreciate a candle). I would check what they normally like, so for instance I also wouldn't want the honey, or posh teabags (I like builder's tea personally).

I would love to get pink champagne with champagne flutes though, that's a great idea.

HelloBunny · 10/12/2022 08:17

Although, our M&S is in a very posh area. Maybe they don’t all stock the same things?

schnauzerbeard · 10/12/2022 09:04

I wouldn't put the smelly stuff - candle and bath bomb - in the hamper. I think it would make the other food items taste of the strong smell. I would pick either luxury food OR luxury non food items.

If they like hot chocolate, Waitrose are doing Heston hot chocolate/praline ‘pennies’ that you just drop into hot milk.

Wow lots of ideas !
Champagne flutes.. I'm looking for some now.
Thanks one and all
