Just for context they live together and are in their thirties.
So far I have put in:-

A bottle of pink champagne
Two boxes of luxury chocolates
A luxury jar of honey
Chocolate covered cashews
A really nice candle
I'm getting some bath bombs too

Please can anyone suggest something else as I am a bit stumped ?

Thanks

Tickets for theatre/band they like
national trust membership/English heritage if budget allows

The colors are very faded by the time it’s cooked.

Well, that’s tragic.

That does not make a Merry Christmas Hamper.

stuntbubbles · 09/12/2022 18:57

Lurpak.

loveyouradvice · 09/12/2022 19:01

definitely needs savoury stuff....
I would love Good cheese
Truffle crisps - or expensive cheesey crispy things (Roka?)
Sophisticated pate

Sounds lovely.

M&s are doing a tin of mixed salted nuts that is the bees' bollocks.

We received an M&S hamper as a corporate gift many years ago. The most memorable item in it was a tub of honey roast cashews and peanuts. 😂
Still using the box for our Christmas decorations!

Don't put bath bombs in near the food as they will make everything smell/taste weird. Especially lush ones! I've made that mistake before and ended up with soapy flavour chocolate Envy

RJnomore1 · 09/12/2022 19:26

Stuffed medjool dates

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/12/2022 19:31

Oooh yes - chocolate coated posh dates

sleepwhenidie · 09/12/2022 19:40

Nice foodie stuff:

Torres truffle crisps
Perello tinned olives
belazu balsamic vinegar
chambord liqueur to make kir/kir royale
good panettone (eg flamigni)
anything from Brindisa-cured meats etc in vac pack

Washinglinewench29 · 09/12/2022 19:41

I made a couple this year not so much luxury but winter themed. M&S do some nice festive Crisps and a light up clementine gin, mulled wine spice mix, hot chocolate bombs?

DisforDarkChocolate · 09/12/2022 19:41

Good after dinner mints.

sleepwhenidie · 09/12/2022 19:41

Oh..M&S duck and truffle parfait is fab and so is some of the seafood range but refrigeration crucial!

FloozingThePlot · 09/12/2022 19:41

Fancy cracker / grissini.

Good olive / hemp seed oil.

Marzipan.

keepcalm11 · 09/12/2022 19:41

Everything sounds lovely, how about champagne flutes? posh napkins. I'm wanting to do similar for my DD & DIL but i'll probably lower the tone with Christmas scratch cards 😂

sleepwhenidie · 09/12/2022 19:43

Could get a whole cheese to bake (Camembert/Brie) / ingredients to make one of these? www.purewow.com/food/baked-cheese-recipes/amp

pinneddownbytabbies · 09/12/2022 19:47

Japanese rice crackers
Chocolate coins
A corkscrew
Coffee syrups
Fancy pasta shapes
Himalayan pink salt in a grinder
Unusually-flavoured crisps - the posh country food store at my local garden centre has flavours like lobster, grouse, wild boar, truffle, you name it.

Ediealone · 09/12/2022 19:53

Jam, chutney, cheese trickle, crackers

Sprig1 · 09/12/2022 19:59

Be careful mixing bath bomb and candle with food. You might make the whole lot stink. Maybe just stick with food and drink or make 2 separate hampers.

OneFrenchEgg · 09/12/2022 20:02

I would like chilli oil and a pandoro (not to have together!) but I'd like you not to add stuff that might make it taste weird, as other pps have said.

I was just going to write this, op I honestly think you'd be better sending two separate parcels, that way you can put all sorts in the food hamper: fancy cheeses, a small christmas cake either homemade or from a local bakery, nice biscuits (maybe Italian).

FoodieToo · 09/12/2022 20:06

Don't mix 'smellies' with any food or drink !!

MysteryBelle · 09/12/2022 20:10

A nice blanket?

MysteryBelle · 09/12/2022 20:11

Tiffany champagne flutes, we got this as a wedding present.

MysteryBelle · 09/12/2022 20:12

And they’re not much at all but great quality.

AdaColeman · 09/12/2022 20:18

I wouldn't include bath bombs in case they perfumed the biscuits etc.

Jar of maraschino cherries..
Tins of ready mixed cocktails
Jar of fruit in liqueur, cherries or pears or peaches are available at Christmas and make a delicious pudding with cream or ice-cream.
If you are considering cheese, look at Snowdonia Cheeses, as they come wrapped in wax, so would travel unrefrigerated.
Jar of membrillo to go with cheese.
Pickles such as cornichons, horseradish, onions in balsamic vinegar.
Truffle mayonnaise.
Jars of roasted vegetables in oil, artichokes, aubergines etc for a quick anti pasta or to go with cold meats.
