Bit of a dilemma, I have a just turned 5yo who loves Ninjago. He's asked for a in Lego Kai motorbike set which was fine, I bought him the 4+ bike (it's about £9) trouble is he's now seen the Kai charger car which shoots out a Kai motorbike, but it's age 8+. I can't convince him otherwise as father Christmas knows he's a 'master builder' and he could do it. It's set 71737 £33 ATM. I could buy it but it's an overspend and I don't want it to be too tricky for him. I also bought him the Ninjago training set which dropped yesterday. What do I do?

I would buy the Lego, help him build it if needed and put the other set (or two) away for birthday.
My five year old like Jelly and Narwhal books and Dogman. I guess they are more comics though?

FilthyforFirth · 25/11/2022 09:26

Just got my first BF bargain! This space lego set, half price at Argos. I got it for £62 and it is pretty much full price everywhere else. Also got 5x nectar points for it.

Is an extra pressent for DH who will be thrilled!

Can you afford it and will it impact on your spending elsewhere?

When my children were that age we were on a strict budget and they had to understand that unfortunately we could not buy everything they asked for. Father Christmas was only the delivery agent who decided if they had been good enough to deserve gifts (apart from the stocking), parents had to buy presents.

Has anyone got any top tips for Apple products? DD is after an Apple Watch and I was waiting for BF, but can't really see any deals on them.

bombemma · 25/11/2022 09:48

Also looking for deals on an Apple Watch.

Also photo calendars? All offering great deals but I've fell for this before and once you add everything on your still getting ripped off

Bsgetty · 25/11/2022 09:57

Something similar was asked by someone on the last thread, but I think it moved on before anyone answered:
I need to get an extra set of joycons (or other controllers?) for Nintendo switch to be able to play 4 player games, but the official ones are so expensive! Does anyone have any recommendations for cheaper ones, or has anyone spotted an amazing BF bargain for the Nintendo ones?
Are there any other accessories that would be a must have? I know nothing about Switches, so any advice gratefully received! Thank you!

Scrawlrbox have loads of their usually £20 ish subscription art boxes for £5 including postage. Putting the link in a moment ago caused me to have to retype this for some reason, just type scrawlrbox into amazon and they have a black Friday banner at the top.

Code PREV3 may take £3 off if you haven't used it before.
