Hits for DP have been
Painting of our dogs
Perfect draft beer machine
Berghaus coat
A wooden vintage type case complete with wooden letters, might seem a bit odd but it’s something that was very relevant to him
Ive bought him a wildlife camera this year
He’s got the usual whiskey, cognac, L’occitaine and molton brown skincare and shower stuff. Slippers, chocolate,

Old books in interested subjects.
Branded clothing for those who suggested this type of gift.
Nice stationary things (fancy pens, mechanical pencils, leather bound journals).
Outdoorsy things (engraved pen knife, backpack, water bottle, sport/activity specific things).
Foodie filled totes or boozie filled totes for the rest.

stridesy · 24/11/2022 17:22

I’ve got oh
yoda lego
shower speakers
dvds
Harry Potter 3d puzzle
2 Superdry tops
a small remote control boat (turned out a bit smaller than I thought)
echo show
slippers
planet pizza top

he did write a list so have a couple of surprises in there. He’s also got a stocking.

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 24/11/2022 17:22

My DH has sent me a link to a very specific set of mini binoculars that he was just about to buy last week from the RSPB. I just about brained him for buying himself the perfect gift 6 weeks before christmas!
I'm getting my 12 yr old DS a plushy, an expansion pack for Catan, a hoody and probably Ragnarok: God of War for the play station.

ditismooi · 24/11/2022 17:27

I bought a really luxurious nice bespoke made to measure chunky leather belt for dh’s last year . Pricey but will last for years . The kind you look for in the shops but can never find . DH was forever buying cheap belts that inevitably didn’t fit or snapped . It also went down well as DH not the average size so high st often useless . You have to order now in time for Xmas . The guy was based in Worcestershire lovely packaging & service too .

SeptemberSon · 24/11/2022 17:33

DH is a designer so some books from Counterprint. A jumper. DVD box set of the 90s Batman films. A masterchef apron. Some rum.

TheSproutOfWrath · 24/11/2022 17:39

CountryCatLady · 24/11/2022 18:21

I've got mine an action camera, not gopro, but hopefully a good one. Also wellies and big bottle of desperado and some chocolates. His birthday is in January so got him Bluetooth headsets to use on his motorbike as well.

MassiveSalad22 · 24/11/2022 18:24

I’m pleased with my giving this year!

DH: hockey puck he requested, The Office Lego and spur of the moment bought him a Barbour jacket in the John Lewis Black Friday sale yesterday. Rather generous I feel! Only bought the jacket yesterday and it arrived today and is lovely!

Dad: a lovely shirt, he likes a bold print.

2x BILs nothing as only buying for the kids

FIL - up to DH

minidancer · 24/11/2022 18:24

You’re welcome 😀

minidancer · 24/11/2022 18:40

I think my husband would love one of these and we are fairly local so nice to support a small business near us

WeightoftheWorld · 24/11/2022 18:44

We don't spend much (we don't have much to spend!). I do a stocking for DH. So far I've got him... absolutely nowt for it.

Then I do two secret Santas and in those I actually have DH in one of them! And DF in the other. So far I've bought DH...again nowt. DF I've bought a lovely mug with design of local landmarks made by a local artist. And a little men's toiletries gift set that includes shower gel, because he mentioned to me the other day he had none when I happened to meet him at the shops and he bought some. Still have a few more quid to spend on him but not sure what I will get.

whichwayiwonder · 24/11/2022 19:09

I'll get him a couple of things that he actually needs / wants. Everything else is pointless stuff.

Snugglemonkey · 24/11/2022 19:40

We swap functional presents for the most part. I have bought him a jumper and shirt so far. I was also thinking of a membership to a craft drink subscription too though. In his stocking I always put an orange, chocolate coins and sprouts, socks and aftershave.

lljkk · 24/11/2022 20:02
