I only have DH & DD to buy for plus DD’s 20th birthday on the 29th of November. And I know this sounds mad but I actually got presents for my hamster Lucy too.

I have heard of people buying for cousins, a dozen nursery or school staff, the postman/woman, binmen…sounds like a lot of work. No judgement on here please stay nice! 🤞

About 27. I buy for a few close friends, siblings (and their spouses), nieces / nephews / god children and parents. Plus our kids and each other. It's a lot! I try and buy throughout the year and get stuff in sales if I can. I actually buy quite a bit in the January sales and then keep it for the next year.

Floralnomad · 22/11/2022 22:58

15 humans , 1 dog and 2 cats . I also give the postman money and the dog groomer gets a tin of sweets and an extra tip .

pinkksugarmouse · 28/11/2022 21:32

Looks like I will be giving something to one more. Still presents for 3 people (one of them a furry) but have decided to put some money in a card for our regular postman too.

About 55.
crazy looking at that number!
we both have large sets of families and both our parents divorced and remarried so we have step parents, step grandparents, siblings, nieces and nephews in addition to our biological ones… thanks parents!
Haven’t started yet this year except one thing for a friend. Just had 2 of the dcs birthdays so now that’s all done I’ll write my list at the weekend.

PlasticTatMNBingo · 29/11/2022 18:04

(one of them a furry)

Confused Do you mean a pet?

mamaduckbone · 29/11/2022 18:11

Dh, 2dcs, my mum, dh's parents (he sorts that with his sister), secret Santa at work, secret Santa for dh's extended family (we do a £5 charity shop present for his sister and her partner and kids which is always entertaining!)

I will get something small for my great-niece and great-nephew as it's their first Christmas. We stop buying for nieces and nephews at 18, and haven't bought for other adults in the family for years.

mamaduckbone · 29/11/2022 18:11

So 10 - my 2 DC, DS1's GF, Mum and Dad, brother, SiL, niece and nephew, the dog.

Runnerduck34 · 29/11/2022 18:44

I've just had a count definitely 15, plus 2 secret santa gifts.
DH
4 DC
1 DM
3 DN
1 DSis
1 DB
1DSIL
3 DF
Plus possibly DHs family but for various reasons may not buy this year, if we do it's another 8 gifts.

We stopped buying
for aunts, cousins, friends DC and neighbours a long time ago.

BiddyPop · 30/11/2022 08:57

Roughly 50.
Dh, Dd , Dd birthday (In Christmas week).
3 DPs, 8 siblings and 6 spouses
10 DNiece a/nephews
A number of DAubts/Uncles on both sides and 3 cousins in teens/20s.
Our 4 lovely neighbours

I no longer buy for school. (Late teen Dd).

I do though need to buy for my team at work (7), and a secret Santa thing for the larger division party.

All in, roughly 50. And it has been culled over the years. As has my cards list.

So far,I've sorted 4 (and that doesn't include the 7 I need to send overseas yet).

Mix of adults and children.

Mostly family and a few friends and their children. 2 people at work.
