Possibly been mentioned but on the JD app they have 20% off your spend (could be first spend so might need a new sign up)
this brought down dd’s air force ones from £70 to £56 which I was really happy with!

I'm looking for a bit of help with gift vouchers, my nieces and nephews are getting to the age where they are asking for vouchers (which makes me a bit sad!) Is there anywhere that I can order online and they will send me a physical gift card (rather than give me a evoucher or code)?

RainbowZebraWarrior · 13/11/2022 13:14

Notherereally1 · 13/11/2022 13:10

@RainbowZebraWarrior Just a heads up, I ordered this and it was delivered in its own box, not inside an amazon box. With a picture of the item on the front. Thankfully my DD wasn't home so didn't see it but it could have spoilt the gift. Bit it's really good and definitely worth the price

Thank you for the heads up. I get my Amazon parcels delivered to my Mums, but they are left in the porch and DD usually sees them as we visit after school. Will get Mum to hide it away for me.

I’m not sure about online ones, but if you are going shopping in a large supermarket at any point then there are lots of gift cards you can buy there! Absolutely loads to choose from and you have it physically in your hand so you could then post out with a card if you need to?

20% off (almost everything!) at ASOS tonight between 7 and 9pm with code

I've bitten the bullet and ordered a small Mystery Box from The Terrace Store.

I found a free p&p code (normally it would be £3.99) which swung it for me:

Hello, a slightly odd ask but my daughter loves making slime. She has had most of the sets on amazon (she has been keen on this for a few years) I would love to get her some other slime making items and additions but google is not really turning up any options. Can anyone help? Also looking for bubble tea related items (I have a tea set for her). Thank you so much!

Thank you, I thought that might be the best option, just didn't know if I was missing a trick! 😊

Just got the Degusta advent calendar from Groupon with the extra WEEKEND discount - thanks pp!

wewishyouamerrychristmas · 13/11/2022 13:47

Can anyone suggest a reed diffuser that smells like you’ve walked into a spa or beauty salon at all?

Puffalicious · 13/11/2022 13:47

ClaraLane · 13/11/2022 09:33

Have you tried Art of Football? I’ve had a nice one from there in the past for my dad.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

WELCOME takes the groupon voucher for degustabox advent calendar down to £31 something, but I just cannot pay that if I know someone else has paid less. Damn you, bargain threads!!

Haha, I'm exactly the same!

AlliwantforChristmasisgu · 13/11/2022 13:51

Gift cards - just don’t buy the awful one4all ones - it seems like a good idea as you can use them in lots of places but they are honestly such a pain - see this thread from last year

I've now bought mystery boxes from The Terrace Store for my football mad sons, the free postage swung it for me. Hoping that it will pad out the stockings a bit.

PumpkinSpicedTea · 13/11/2022 13:54

@Wheretowhereto would buying a set but just using the Christmas top and another pair of short pjs bottoms to go with it?

vjg13 · 13/11/2022 13:55

@ClaraLane you are very welcome. I love this thread and my bargain oodies!

Second this - I received one via work and it was a real pain trying to use it

SnowJamz · 13/11/2022 14:02

Hi, does anyone have or know of a Homebase free delivery code that they can PM me please?

Thank you.

MayaTheBusyBee · 13/11/2022 14:04

I had the same issue as others with degustabox on Groupon (i ordered it a month ago for £16.95 and didn’t realise i had to redeem) and Groupon only offered me the attached options, so i am not sure if they know what’s up

thaegumathteth · 13/11/2022 14:05

@livinginhope87 I've bought slime itself from Etsy before - lots of different kinds etc you can't buy elsewhere. You can buy DIY kits on there too. Keep an eye on reviews though. One lot I bought was (unknowingly) from a 14 year old and let's just say, her customer service skills needed some honing!

You could also make up a kit yourself.
Different glue eg clear, coloured, glitter
Charms etc
Little pots
Pipettes
Food colouring
Shaving form
Bicarbonate
Contact lens solution containing boric acid
Etc etc

TwinsAndTiramisu · 13/11/2022 14:08

@hiredandsqueak thanks for the advice re flowers, I currently use Freddie's, but have found several recent deliveries have been substandard. I'm looking for a new company to use.

Looking at Arena, I like their flowers. I think they look more traditional than Freddie's, which isn't always a bad thing as I've had some really random looking blooms that don't look great in with my Freddie's recently.

May I ask a few questions? Are they delivered loose and you arrange yourself? If so, is there a guide to arranging (as per Freddie's?) Do they come with a vase at the start which is the right size for the specific arrangement (as per Freddie's?). Are they the same price as Freddie's? Why is it you feel they are much better please? Longer lasting?

Thank you xx

deeplybaffled · 13/11/2022 14:09

@Cantthinkofabettername that was me! Thank you very much, I’ll try that 😀

TheCrow · 13/11/2022 14:09

@livinginhope87 my DD has asked for slime this year as well (had an absolute no slime rule up until now but I think/hope she's old enough now to keep it contained 😂)
I got her this Slime accessory pack for £6 from B&M and I'm going to get her ingredients to make her own Slime so PVA glue, baking soda, contact lense solution, food colouring and Shaving Foam plus a big plastic bowl, spoon to mix, tubs yo keep it in and a big plastic sheet to put under it all.

Absolutely second this 100% ... and if you are unlucky enough to get one then as soon as you possibly can get rid pronto by using it to purchase a stores own gift card
