@TwinsAndTiramisu Mine didn't come with a vase at the beginning although don't know whether that is an option. They are delivered in a box with suggestions for arranging. The reason I prefer them is I have the Freddie's Flowers vase, it is too small for the volume of flowers delivered by Arena Flowers each month, I have to use my big vase. Flowers last a fortnight or so which I think makes them great value. Only needed to contact customer service once about rearranging a delivery and they couldn't have been more helpful so I feel reassured that if there were a problem it would soon be sorted. Another bonus I find is that I haven't been pestered by multiple phone calls from them unlike Freddie's Flowers where it felt like harassment (I have at least ten different numbers from FF all blocked and dd warned that she now has them phoning again pestering her from different numbers so will be adding to my blocked list)

@NormalForNuneaton that's what I'm worried about! They also sell chopping boards so he won't be happy if he gets one of them in the box Christmas morning, he's only 14 😂

@Myleakycauldron my almost 8 yr old is a big fan of Polly pocket, 9 yr old might be a little old but younger than that should love it!

@Roomytrouser they have Elle ones in B&M for £17.99 or Revlon small brush ones (not volumiser) for a similar price. This was a small B&M so bigger stores may have more choice

🤣 There are so many aftershaves that are popular, but can be expensive if you don't know what he'd like. All of these are fresh and under £25 and have been a hit with both of my boys.

Another nice idea is to have a Christmas trip to Boots/ Debenham and get him to smell and choose his first 'posh' aftershave, then have lunch. I did this with DS1 the Christmas after he'd just turned 16 and he loved it: the staff in Boots spoiled him with attention and he felt like an adult. He chose John Paul Gaultier, which is still a favourite 2 years later.

No7 have got a great toiletries set in a sporty toiletry bag for £20, but it's £16 this weekend. You get full sized shower gel, moisturiser and scrub(?) - can't remember, but it's a good deal and for sensitive skin. Also, I always put a coal face mask in their stockings- the peel off ones as they're black (manly 😁) and the entire process is a giggle. I have 3 boys- very typical sporty ones- and why can't they/ I have these fun experiences like my friends do woth their girls?
