Can anyone help please? Request for Boom City Racer ‘Cop That’ police car!

My 7 year old son has said that the thing that he really wants for Christmas this year is the Boom City Racer ‘Cop That’ (police car with lights and sounds).

He has collected these cars over the past year but hasn’t been lucky enough to find this one; for those not familiar with them they are blind toys so you can’t see what you’re getting. So he’s hopeful that Santa will be able to get one for him! 😩

I’ve checked second hand selling sites, and there aren’t any on those; there are very few listings for Boom City Racers in general as they don’t seem to be very popular now.

I’ve managed to track down a packaging code which shows that this car is inside, however The Entertainer is the only shop around here to still stock them and the store near us doesn’t have one with this code.

I contacted the manufacturer and they were lovely and sent out a starter pack with a different car, however the same car is in all of these packs and they said they don’t have any other packs.

Does anyone happen to have a spare Cop That that’s been outgrown?

I know this is a real long shot but I’d love to find one for him as he’s a massive fan of Boom City Racers and this would make his Christmas 🎅

@impossiblerequest Have you tried Vinted? There are quite a few red packs on there, maybe you could message the sellers to ask if they can check the codes for you? Sorry if you have already tried this!

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to join to do that and the site wouldn’t let me! They wouldn’t accept my phone number for some reason and I couldn’t get any further, though they then started spamming me as though I was a member despite not getting to the signed up stage. I contacted the company (which was a struggle without being a member!) but haven’t heard back 🙁 You’ve reminded me to give it another go.

I’m very surprised it got here so quickly with all the RM issues - they really must have known how important it was!

I’m sure my DS will be thrilled to get the new cars to add to his collection; they all look right up his street even if they aren’t cop that. He’ll be chuffed that a couple are rare too.

My son was thrilled with his Boom City racers - thanks for asking 🙂 Yesterday he mentioned that he really hoped he’d get Cop That 🙈

I decided to put them together in a little box that I’d kept ‘just in case’ (I knew it would come in handy one day!) and wrap them in that, rather than give them in the original packaging, because I thought that if he saw the Boom City Racer cases he’d get really excited thinking he’d get Cop That. This way he had no idea what was inside the box until he opened it. His reaction? “Oh wow, Boom City racers! Not cop that but these are even better than cop that because they’re really rare!” 🎉 🎉🎉 I’m sure he’d have loved cop that really but he really was thrilled by these ones!

I’ll still keep an eye out for cop that - who knows, maybe that can be one for his birthday!

Ahh this has made me happy! Such a good idea to put them in a box together and I'm so glad he was happy with them.

I will also continue the search, maybe one day one of us who obsessively followed this thread will find one for him!
