Ho ho ho and welcome to the bargain Christmas thread - home of the discounts for Christmas shopping.

A bit of competition for the thread title this time - thanks for all the contenders and nominees and @Someaddedsugar for the title. This says a lot about your phones autocorrect I think Grin 🤣

@BeastOfBODMAS brilliant, thank you very much!

Dogmatix34 · 22/10/2022 21:31

Probably not suitable for Christmas but this looks a bargain and will hopefully be lovely for next year bulbs

I got some really good bargains on Amazon due to codes stacking with “subscribe and save”.

Neom Diffuser £22.30 rather than £39

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 50 ml £44.29 rather than £89

Burt’s Bees Hand Cream £3.03 rather than £6.99

Its a bit complicated though and I found it out by accident. I already have a subscribe and save account. The way that works is that if you have more than 4 items coming in a single subscription delivery it gives you up to 15% off each item. I often add things to the November delivery just to get the 15% (you can add them as a regular subscription but then cancel with no penalty.

Today I added the Neom diffuser but realised there was an offer for “extra 20% subscription voucher”. ie 20% off the first time you add it to a subscription.

But they stack.! So e.g. for the diffuser it took my 15% off the £39 price (because I already had 4 items in that months subscription) AND took 20% off the £39 also.

There seem to be 20% subscription offers on a lot of Elemis, Burts Bees, some Neom. Randomly I also got it on Ecover dishwasher tabs and Baylis and Harding soap refills.

Some of them show with a little green banner like in the second picture, but others you have to click through before you see it. Randomly there was also another couple of quid off by the time the subscription was “validated” eg Neom was only £22.30 once validated.

if you use it, let me know if you find any other good ones! I haven’t found any way to search for what is included.

Don't know if anyone is looking for giant stuffed bears but Morrison's have massive sloth or moose for £25. We have a moose called Sam Winchester (iykyk) and he's big enough for me to fall asleep on while reading, my 9 year old loves him. The sloth is lovely too but we already have one called Clive from Butlins 🥰

FluffyFluffMonster · 22/10/2022 21:51

Heavy tape dispenser for £1.49 from the card factory

Shootingstar2018 · 22/10/2022 22:53

I always keep an eye on Dobbies after last years bargains. Couple of things I bought today.

Cosiscoop basket lantern reduced from £129.99 to £64.99 - perfect for my parents garden. They have it in black and olive.

Archery set reduced for £19.99 to £6. My son will love it!

Lindor 600g boxes £7.50 using the Amazon stacking discount (£15 in Tesco)

Maharajah20 · 22/10/2022 23:39

@UserNameNameNameUser go to the amazon home page. Under the black heading is a small white line with Today's deal, Warehouse deals etc. Click on the one that says Vouchers. This will take you to the vouchers that can be used along side the save and subscribe. Once on the voucher page you can filter different categories.
Have ordered my lindor, thanks!

buckeejit · 22/10/2022 23:45

@MummyGummy how do you find if you're eligible for the offer please? I've got the £5 one but would like the pick up too

tattlytote · 23/10/2022 02:02

Can anyone remember the ridiculously good deal on Stackers last year? And when it came about?

Motherofalegend · 23/10/2022 07:08

@Givealittlebit he sounds like mine! Lol. Although mine is a fan of Lego, Star Wars and marvel.

I have bought the spidery advent calendar and a Lego Star Wars brick sketch. Spent about £25 in total and all out of ideas as he has everything/buys stuff if he wants it.

LemonFrosting · 23/10/2022 09:03

Do Smyths ever have money off or discount codes does anyone know please?

I remember using one a couple of years ago. It was something like £5 off £30 spend. I got some Toy Story toys for my DD with it. But I haven't seen any since. May have just missed them though.

DarlingCoffee · 23/10/2022 09:25

Has anyone seen any good skincare sets for tweens around? I’ve been looking at the Florence by Mills brand but it’s quite spendy. Thanks!

WhereTheresAHill · 23/10/2022 09:41

Does anyone have a referral code for a remarkable please? From a quick Google that looks like that’s the only way to get a discount, thanks!!

TheGriffle · 23/10/2022 09:51

Dh won’t let me spend £30 on 4 boxes of Lindt balls. 😢

TheGriffle · 23/10/2022 09:53

Just to clarify, he’s not being a dick or controlling but we only need one box for DD’s advent calendar so he thinks £30 is excessive seeing as no one else likes them.

😅To be fair, if your talking about the 600g boxes, they have about 50 balls in. So if you only need 24 for a calendar and no one else likes them, the additional 176 balls are not really necessary.

My tween and her friends like Revolution skincare. The ingredients are surprisingly good for the price point and a lot of the packaging, especially for the Christmas sets is marketed at teens. Dd is currently using a zinc and niaciamide serum which works wonders on any breakouts.

BigEaredBob · 23/10/2022 10:23

Hi. Any recommendations for a marble run for a 7 year old? I know some can be quite hard to put together so would love to know if anyone has bought one in the past which has worked well.

LemonFrosting · 23/10/2022 10:24

Thank you @Evza I've been searching online for smyths codes but can't find any working ones, maybe they just don't do discounts. Yes I thought they did money off but then was doubting myself thinking was I confused with the entertainer. Sounds like they've stopped doing money off then too
