Need a bit of Inspo , especially for DS 14 stocking. So thought I’d share what I’ve brought already and maybe someone can get ideas from me a i from others.

dd 10 - stocking presents

• 2 x ty beanies mini brands box of reusable chopsticks no main presents brought yet due to dd and me having a shopping trip in 4 weeks to spend her birthday money. Will get whatever she doesn’t buy.

ordered a book for DP
and a personalised calendar for mum

Purchased a new scooter for DD as hers is on the brink and she’s mentioned she’s asking for one for Christmas ... hoping it lasts till Christmas....
also brought DS a box of hotel chocolat hot chocolate sachets for his stocking.
also got dd a unicorn fairy garden
2 books from her fave collection

just waiting on our shopping trip so I can get home and order the Lego she doesn’t buy.
then it’s just DS’s stocking giving me a headache.

my DS5 is easy, he loves cars, Batman and Spider-Man. My DS8 however all he does is play roblox on his tablet or watch you tube. He’s got loads of Lego and does enjoy making sets, so will do that just not sure what. Apart from that I’m stumped. He points things out in the smyths toy catalogue (takes me back to the Argos catalogue 😂) but I know he won’t play with them. He is really into track cycling at the velodrome, currently does it twice a week, was going to book him a session at the Lee valley indoor velodrome as they do experiences but you have to be 12 😬🙄

These threads make me really pleased that we moved abroad. We don't do presents anymore, only for our son and maybe a token gift to husband/me. Usually I pick some item of clothing I want and husband gets trainers, jacket etc. I remember a few year back buying my niece and nephews presents, it was madness, I never see them, I had no clue what they were into or liked. That was the moment I realised that I was living in a crazy world where everyone is spending money on gifts that no one wants to receive or buy. We now go out for a lovely meal. I ring my parents and its stress free.

Hi @YetAnotherWalk, I haven't actually bought it yet as they haven't released their Christmas pre-orders, though I think they will do after Halloween. Do you mean bought or do you bring them from somewhere ?

I have fewer gifts to buy now. I’m resisting the urge to buy ‘filler’ gifts as my adult and teenage DC have loads of stuff I’ve bought before, that they haven’t really used:

DS1 wants an Apple Watch, I’ll look for any deals on Black Friday but I know this is only likely to be a tenner off if I’m lucky

DS2 wants parts to upgrade his gaming machine

No idea yet for DH, possibly Solovairs

Dsis loves Cinnabar, so I’ve just found her a gift set on the EL website

DM is an absolute nightmare and has just thrown a massive pass/agg strop about her birthday presents, so she’s getting an M&S hamper and a frosty attitude 😉

I have a couple of little girls in the family to buy for (2&4), they’ll get some pretty and sparkly clothes, as I had boys and it’s my chance to go girlie 😁

I think I’m going to ask for Juliette Has A Gun perfume for myself

I've ordered a couple of nail/cuticle balms for DD (for the Dec 1st Bag)
I'm still looking for some other toiletry type items , but I'm holding on till there's an offer (which I'm sure there will be)

So happy with the bargains I got. I love Christmas.

Also have 10 birthdays leading up to Christmas with 4 of them in December that's why I start early I couldn't afford it if waited till November/ December to do my shopping.

Both kids have 2 Christmases, DD has Christmas day with me and dad and DSD has Christmas day with her mum and family. DSD comes to us Christmas night and we have Christmas day again on boxing day woth DH family, its great 😁.

Me and DH don't get each other anything

All other adult family members we do hampers for woth chocolate, candles, teas, coffee and smellies

Niece and nephew get new jumpers, normally the North face or nike and then smellies.

Really struggle with Stockings.

Just give them the stocking fillers from last year this year 😁

No need for rolling eyes. It's unbelievably tedious to see this error again and again. Brought means something totally different.

DH and I don’t have children and my mum died suddenly this year so now we don’t have any parents either. Our gift recipients list is small 😢😢
