Ho ho ho and welcome to the bargain Christmas thread - home of the discounts for Christmas shopping.

Title is inspired by the turtle doves/gloves and in my head it's set to the 12 days of Christmas. I'm actually tempted for us to think up a new 12 days of Christmas nearer the time with all of our best bargains Grin

If you have a referral link for a website, do post it on this thread

@mac1974 & others looking Lakeland airer. Just for info Aldi have a version much cheaper this week. I've just bought the Lakeland one

I'm also looking for a Lakeland 20% code. 🙏

Having resisted Oodies for the last few years, I'm tempted this year to save our heating bills. Looking at the Dunelm ones - does anyone know what sort of ages the kids versions are for? Does anywhere do a toddler-type equivalent? And are the adult ones suitable for a... Er... Larger lady?

I'm looking for one for a toddler (2yr old) too, but can't seem to find any.

National Trust are doing one free visit to one of their properties currently, ticket is for up to 2 adults and 4 children and you have to use it by Nov 30. I googled National Trust free family pass and it was the first result as I couldn't find it on the website

Thank you so much for this! Just signed up and got a free ticket, so that's a free day out somewhere we haven't been. 😊

If looking for Pokemon fans, Asda have some decent deals on card sets and tins. DS bought this one with some bday money. A bit disingenuous to say it was £45 as can’t see it elsewhere for anything like that price, but still cheaper than the £35 or so on Amazon last time I looked!

2anddonefornow · 03/10/2022 09:46

@BeGoneDom I am a 22 and Dunelm would happily fit 2 of me
@Evza asda have toddler options

DDs are 5 and 3 and I got them the Dunelm kids hoodies in a size Small. Massive on my 3 year old, I'd say the Small would probably fit age 5 to 7 best. The medium maybe up to a pre-teen I'd imagine as the adults ones are huge. I'm a size 16 and the Dunelm hooded blanket is massive on me but super cozy, I love it actually as it's not as thick as my Oodie so it's nice to have two options.

Beanbag does that work?

Thankyou will need to measure to see if they are big enough as was hoping that they were adult sized ones

Asmallgiraffe · 03/10/2022 10:21

Thankyou! The £5 off works with the posca discount

Wonderfulstuff · 03/10/2022 10:35

Hi guys - has anyone seen a discount on kid's Annuals this year? Last year I did very well in the stackable WH Smiths codes and whilst that was probably a one off I'm hoping for at least a little saving this year :) Thanks!

Has anyone got the Aldi version? Is it any good?

I had just about convinced myself to get the Lakeland one, but I much prefer the Aldi price!

I got us all some from fivepoundstuff in the VIP section. It was a couple of months ago but I heard they keep getting them back in periodically. They were kuddly dupes and came with the branding although supposedly not actual kuddly. They are so thick they I have to take it off as it's so hot. I'm a size 18. My 3yo has one from there too, hers is smaller but not because she's younger as such, so I'd say hers won't feel the same as mine. It's definitely lighter fabric and doesn't come down as far on her body. It's still an oversized hoodie though - also not marketed as the kuddly brand. I got my 6yo one from Online Home Shop and hers is a bit thicker, but both do a fantastic job. I just think it's relative to age and how much heat and weight they can manage. All of them were in the region of £10 each and significantly thicker than the Primark ones.

I have a dunelm one from last year and it's massive (I'm a size 14) but wearable around the house to do everything like sort dinner, put out bins!
I'd say it is totally suitable for a larger frame.
Cosy for sitting watching tv too.

I wore it most days and don't need a new one it's still in great condition considering it was washed and worn so much.

I would class it as thick fleece (probably not as thick as the expensive makes) but you can vary what's underneath.

DH refuses to wear one though!

mummymilkfloat · 03/10/2022 13:41

Thanks for the Alder Hey/Matalan heads up, my 2 will love those PJs!

we were playing with this track this weekend and I seem to remember it came from a recommendation on here last year:

www.speed-track.co.uk

A small British business and my son has loved it with little cars/balls in the house and garden this year.

sorryiasked · 03/10/2022 13:51

The Aldi airer is already sold out online 🙁

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/10/2022 14:03

@BeGoneDom and @Evza

I haven't read to the end of the thread

But next have fleece ponchos starting age 3, might work if you have a tallish toddler

Letthesunshineonin · 03/10/2022 14:10

Just a little thing but Home Bargains have AromaWorks Hygge candles in for £3.49. RRP 12.99 which is correct(sometimes can’t trust their price tags)

zeerecords · 03/10/2022 14:41

Does anyone have a unidays code for H&M? Have a massive basket of winter baby bits and would love to get 20% off

Changingagain · 03/10/2022 14:51

Has anyone who's signed up for getting the Smyths Christmas catalogue in the post had there's yet?

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/10/2022 14:52

@Changingagain ours arrived a few weeks ago. They have loads in store by the front door too

Yeah, got ours last week. (It's already been gone through twice with post it notes by DD)

LaTangerina · 03/10/2022 15:10

Yes we've had our smyths catalogue for weeks now. They should have them in store too.

Raindancer411 · 03/10/2022 15:12

If any ones little ones like Blues Clues, The entertainer has a card game for 1.50. They have sold out online but mine has lots. Great for a small stocking filler!!
