Ho ho ho and welcome to the bargain Christmas thread - home of the discounts for Christmas shopping.

Title is inspired by the turtle doves/gloves and in my head it's set to the 12 days of Christmas. I'm actually tempted for us to think up a new 12 days of Christmas nearer the time with all of our best bargains Grin

National Trust are doing one free visit to one of their properties currently, ticket is for up to 2 adults and 4 children and you have to use it by Nov 30. I googled National Trust free family pass and it was the first result as I couldn't find it on the website

woodwaj · 02/10/2022 09:43

I've just read that the free returns option with PayPal is ending from 27th November!

Oh no have just seen they're releasing a new version on 20 October but it's £65 🙄 wonder should I wait and will it maybe be reduced in Black Friday sale 🤔

I was just coming on to say that new ones are being released with a good chance they'll be on offer on black Friday. If not, the panda and tiger versions will almost certainly be on sale again on black Friday.

My DS has an Alexa and a yoto player and I would recommend the yoto over the Alexa if you are looking at it primarily for stories and music. DS is 6 now and still struggles to get Alexa to understand him. It is useful for sending him reminders to get dressed in the morning though 😁

gobblegobblenibblenibble · 02/10/2022 10:15

Thanks @WhyDoesItAlways I'll have a look at the Yoto as well I didn't realise they play music too. I had considered them before but they seemed a little expensive for something I'm not sure he'll definitely use. He's been to friends houses and come home shouting instructions to Alexa though so that's why I though he might like one 🙈😂

I think I'll wait now til Black Friday anyway and then see what offers are about.

NoDairyNoProblem · 02/10/2022 10:19

I got Divine dark chocolate coins from the Vegan Store this week. Not sure about postage though as I was over the threshold for free delivery.

Maranello · 02/10/2022 10:19

Thanks @TheCrow, that's a good offer from National Trust.

I have some vouchers that came with the Ocado magazine, the codes look pretty generic so don't think they'll be single use only.

Happy Puzzle Company 20% "everything inside this catalogue" (which is a bit annoying when you can't see the catalogue so will be trial and error! But there's loads in there) A22XM

Sophie Allport 15% off everything OCADO-22

Cox & Cox 25% off INOC25

twinteenwrangler · 02/10/2022 10:51

@Icantfindanewname thank you for posting about Ocado. I had spotted the slots and booked but I haven't spotted the free delivery email, so you've saved me £9.99! Flowers

Raindancer411 · 02/10/2022 10:53

@Cuwins Just a heads up, it's not Christmas, but asda have some dairy free halloween chocolates in that I have got for my son. Last year was the first time he could really have something chocolate that was seasonal for halloween!

IggyAce · 02/10/2022 10:53

Little Echo are offering 35% off your order with code SAVE35. Great for those who are into eco conscious beauty. link

Raindancer411 · 02/10/2022 10:58

Oh and word of caution on the Mrs Buttons... I read it and she uses the same equipment for both dairy and dairy free, although cleaned thoroughly. So depends on how you view it but for my pen carrying son, this may be a bit of a risk too much...

Shame as looked lovely too!!

Thank you but DD is only 7m so chocolate isn't something I want to give yet. Only planning chocolate coins for Christmas as it's tradition in our family

tabbycat985 · 02/10/2022 11:22

Sophie Allport has 20% off everything until 9th Oct with the code "Christmas". If you sign up to their mailing list, you get inundated with offers

MammaRoly · 02/10/2022 11:50

I called into Dunelm to collect my click and collect order of a Christmas doormat and Gryffindor hoodie (thanks to this thread). And whilst waiting for my parcels, I picked up a gorgeous fluffy Teddy soft throw for cold evenings. It was only £10 and large enough for me, DD and DS on the sofa last night so I thought a good deal

MammaRoly · 02/10/2022 11:52

I can't remember what the consensus was on the aldi velvetisers, but if they are any good then they are in the special buys Instore and online from next week.

We had one as I was too mean to buy the velvitiser. It lasted about a month before it broke. Aldi were quick with the refund, but really missed the hot chocolate maker so we ended up with the velvet user anyway. We have had this for a couple of years now. It's used almost daily by DC from September - March. Save yourself the time and look for a bargain velvitiser.

twinteenwrangler · 02/10/2022 12:36

BrandAlley has the Neom diffuser 35% off plus £15 off your first order with code INSIDER which makes it £60, which seems a good deal?

spiderontheceiling · 02/10/2022 12:48

I got the Aldi fake velvetiser a couple of years ago, the same year as I got MIL the actual velvetiser. The Hotel Chocolat one is definitely better. However, she uses it daily whereas I use it once a week or so for a couple of months in the winter.

LilithImpala67 · 02/10/2022 12:54

Thanks @MammaRoly the free family ticket for a National Trust visit is brilliant!!

Haudyourwheesht · 02/10/2022 13:05

That's great @MammaRoly, thank you!

Theraffarian · 02/10/2022 13:07

It was very easy. I waited until the postage charge showed up on my bank account and then did it. Hopefully the free box will still arrive!

Thanks. Iv ordered it. Hopefully it will make a nice stocking filler.

I did the national trust day also. Thanks for that!

Actually, just a heads up - the National Trust thing is not valid in Scotland.
