Thanks @tabbycat985 for the title

I so much wanted to get degusta box calendar for dh but at the end he is getting chocolate calendar from a chocolate factory in my home country. He is too tight to even thinking about having two calemdars. Next year then.

BeastOfBODMAS · 16/09/2022 19:19

Thank you to whoever posted about the Matalan 20% off code - I have ordered DH a wardrobe refresh to split between birthday and Christmas gifts. I am sick of looking at his raggedy cuffs and bleach stained joggers (although fair enough he cleans!)

RainbowPhilosophy · 16/09/2022 19:39

@Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough my DS was 4 last Christmas and stocking fillers included colour changing slime/putty, lego figures, travel size games (e.g. Connect 4), one of those pens that have about 10 different colours that you press down (throwback to my childhood!), octopus reversible poppit, kinetic sand, Pokemon/Numberblocks annuals, an Orchard Toys game, bath slime/fizzers, a "Where's Wally?" type book but with pokemon to find, a little Ty unicorn toy (child's palm size). Hopefully some of those will help with your DD's stocking 😊

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 16/09/2022 19:40

Thank you!!!! Great ideas x

Yeknom · 16/09/2022 19:48

Not the most bargainous of prices (currently slightly discounted) but I just wanted to recommend these:

100 Things for Little Children to do on a Journey (Usborne Activity Cards) amzn.eu/4YlD8m6

We take them to pubs/parks/restaurants etc and they're fab. They'd make a great gift and stocking present.

LunaCrystal · 16/09/2022 21:01

Does anyone have an Entertainer code they aren’t using please? I’ve signed up for Jacks birthday but they haven’t sent me one yet and I need to order

I should get one soon though so can pay it forward here when I do!

Thanks

MissMarple0203 · 16/09/2022 21:06

Does anyone know what the code for Galt science lab was? And if it would still be valid? Thanks

These look great - do you think they would be suitable for a 3 year old?

ThreeRingCircus · 16/09/2022 21:47

Ravenclaw adult hooded blankets now in stock at Dunelm if anyone else was waiting!

Thank you! Just ordered

KindleAndCake · 16/09/2022 21:48

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads Thankyou Smile

bizzey · 16/09/2022 22:02

Thanks for the discount dragon link.
Thought I had messed up as I did not remember to add my email/make an account and so thought I had lost my money if it didn't arrive.....
But auto fill must have done it!
( Got email )

The skillets are now £1.49 but bbd is may 22 !

But they are for the DC'S stockings so not too much of a problem for us .

Presumably the skillets can be re used ?

bizzey · 16/09/2022 22:03

Got some good deals on Tokyo laundry earlier

Some things in sale then SALE30 for extra off.

And 3 for 2 on packs of underwear.

bizzey · 16/09/2022 22:04

Brought 2 pairs of boxers down to 7.33 ( ish )

bizzey · 16/09/2022 22:05

( would want 10 pairs of knickers for that price ....but ...well !)

What about some sort of ‘summer’ toy for your DD that is likely to now be reduced?
b&m have a mud kitchen reduced to £10!!! Can’t link sorry as it won’t copy for some reason… it’s in store only though & looks as though stock quite limited, but definitely says they have it in some stores!

Or one of those colour in houses/ shops/ castles from hobby craft? These are frequently on offer, usually round school holidays

HmmWhatNameToHave · 16/09/2022 22:11

@thaegumathteth Thank you love the idea of Young driver experience for the 16 yr old boy. My friend suggested getting a provisional drivers licence too which I thought was an excellent idea!

Petal7 · 16/09/2022 22:22

@FragileWitch how about the Horrible Histories boat tour on the Thames? Or at the theatre?

HollyGennero · 16/09/2022 22:25

I just saw a link to this site with discounts on children’s clothes and toys on a thread in AIBU: www.themodernnursery.com/collections/all-outlet
I’ve never shopped there myself (but maybe one day if my IVF works out!) so can’t vouch for them.

@Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough If you’ve not already seen it this thread: www.mumsnet.com/talk/Christmas/4633582-adult-stocking-fillers-average-cost-ps1 has lots of ideas for £1 and below stocking fillers that might be useful.

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 16/09/2022 22:25

Thanks!! I like the idea of a colour in teepee and a pack of pens. I shall investigate and probably spend a fortune on art supplies for myself

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 16/09/2022 22:26

And thanks for the link!

Petal7 · 16/09/2022 22:29

@FragileWitch - oops, just seen you've seen the shows! But the boat tour could be good.

How about a trip to Hampton Court Palace? Membership of Historic Royal Palaces? Trip to the Tower of London?

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 16/09/2022 22:44

I have an idea. Please tell me if I am being stupid ok?
If I brought dd this for Christmas, as well as a sheet to go on top that she can decorate, some fairy lights and cushions etc. would a four year old like it do you think? With the option to turn it into a play house. TIA xx (and it will have a giant unicorn the size of her inside it thanks to aliexpress!!)
