It's early September and we're already on thread 3 - wonder how many threads we'll get to this year! Any bets? Mine is 29!

If you have a referral link for a website, do post it on this thread

Just ordered the Lego advent at full price for my son but now need to find a suitable one for his 2 year old sister. Any suggestions, and kudos points for a discounted one 😂

Alrighty, what does she like and what’s the max spend? X

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 15/09/2022 16:41

@ScarlettDarling if I see it drop again I'll tag you ASAP.

Yankee countdown ordered. Also got 3 of the countdown to NYE skincare gifts. Great gift for a fiver.

There were lots of bomb cosmetics reduced too, make your own and a Noah's ark themed one.

I was so tempted by the Yankee candle set but I wasn't sure about gifting something that counts down to Christmas for Christmas iyswim. Is it obvious that it is a countdown set? Could it be easily split out across multiple gifts?

I thought the same which was my reasoning for buying it for myself. However, its not really a countdown like a calendar....there's just the numbers on the front of the box but when you open it, its one big set.

@Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough Peppa, hey duggee, horses, almost anything 😂 I would say max of 10-15.00... Thanks

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 15/09/2022 17:02

@Raindancer411 would this be any good

Peppa Pig Book Advent

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 15/09/2022 17:04

A few options:
Hey Duggee
Gruffalo
Peppa Pig

all under £15, but they are all book ones, if you want something different then I would be delighted to have a look x

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 15/09/2022 17:05

This one is £21 but it’s play dough and it has a decent amount of different things x

LunaCrystal · 15/09/2022 17:06

@Raindancer411 I bought 2 year old DD the Peppa Pig Calendar last year and she loved it. We still have all the books and read them often. Great value for money

Raindancer411 · 15/09/2022 17:08

Thanks all, I shall have an investigate later once she is in bed. Love this group 😆

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 15/09/2022 17:11

@Raindancer411 this one is over budget but if you wanted toys not books it might work

Peppa Pig

TamSamLam · 15/09/2022 17:13

Rubber duck calender was really popular here last year, still being played with now.

Yeknom · 15/09/2022 17:15

@Raindancer411 over budget but there is a duplo one this year, I think I saw it on the Lego site xx

Roundthebend45 · 15/09/2022 17:23

Not sure if this has been linked to before, but Mango outlet has some great discount on clothes, especially kids stuff. It’s good for accessories too like this reindeer headband:

LiamNeesonIsADerryGirl · 15/09/2022 17:32

@TamSamLam could you please tell me more about the rubber duck calendar? My DD will be 2 and she's obsessed with "quackers" so it would be perfect for her!

princessbear80 · 15/09/2022 17:37

This is such a good buy. I’m sure I paid £10 for it a few years ago. My son loves it - we re-use it each advent and also read the stories through the year.

coffeetofunction · 15/09/2022 17:46

TREAT10 gets you £10 off a £40 spend at hype

TamSamLam · 15/09/2022 17:46

@LiamNeesonIsADerryGirl I don't buy them, but it's the one below although will have been bought elsewhere
They like doing hide and seek with the ducks, and they're a good size for small people to carry a few around whilst not actually getting lost.

My Burt's Bees crackers arrived. 3 out of 4 were torn 🙄 Back they go. Hopefully the replacement ones will be ok.

Oh really?l?? She would love that as it's similar to her brothers "Lego" lol

Notlongnow1 · 15/09/2022 18:27

@raindancer411

Not in budget BUT it is on offer and this has been my favourite advent calender for longevity. Ours comes out, and is played with still, every Christmas.

Did you have to send them back? One of mine was torn and they just sent a new one and didn't want the other back...

Ohhh she loves her happyland. I wonder if I can get a 20% code off in time before the price goes up??

So many choices I may get a few and put away 😂

TheBigFish · 15/09/2022 18:42

@Raindancer411 I couldn't see an option not to send it back. How do I do that?
