It's early September and we're already on thread 3 - wonder how many threads we'll get to this year! Any bets? Mine is 29!

If you have a referral link for a website, do post it on this thread

See post 2 for some (hopefully) useful links.

I've just bought my DD a Fussy deodorant case and refill for Christmas, Parma Violet fragrance, with a referral it's £5 for the case and One refill, free postage, it's a subscription though so you need to remember to cancel. I've popped a link on the referral thread. Link to website below.

In addition to above post re Fussy Deodorant there's also £2.12 cashback via TCB, my purchase has tracked but I'm not sure it'll payout on top of the referral.

They often have the tangle teezer branded brushes in my local homesense so might be worth checking there or TK Maxx

Thanks. Never thought of that.

BrainFoggerty · 13/09/2022 14:23

@Fuckingfuckssake is it an effective deodorant? I use Dr Organic atm but on hot days or if I exercise it isn't up to much

Hello!!! Thought I might join on here for some present ideas and general Christmassy things! We are doing Christmas on a shoestring this year as dp lost his job. My lovely parents offered to help but they are also having troubles with money so I am doing it myself. Any ideas for cheap ideas diy crafty whatever for my dd who I want to have the most special Christmas this year as we’ve had some crappy ones the past couple of years. Thank you!!! I am on the bargain referral thread to :)

Continuing the theme of shops clearing their shelves to make way for new (Christmas) lines, if you have time it’s worth looking at the special reduced or clearance shelves in Boots, Superdrug and Sainsbury’s.

In Boots everything in that section was discounted by 50% - 80%, including this masqd brow set for £3, which I’d be pleased to see in my Christmas stocking. There were similar discounts in Superdrug. People must have stopped sanitising their hands as they had hand sanitiser, 70% alcohol plus tea tree oil, in a big 1000ml bottle for 50p. Sainsbury had lots of back-to-school stuff like lunchboxes, water bottles and stationery eg rubber-tipped pencils at £1:50 for 50. (Classroom gift?)

Now I have to decide whether I’m brave enough to use the Violet permanent hair dye I bought for £1:37.

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 13/09/2022 14:39

@Yalz i don’t suppose you saw what lunchboxes there where? And what price? Dd needs a new one so if they are any good ones, that would be a cheap present for her.

Join the frugal Christmas thread too. I'm sure you will get ideas from there

Sisisimone · 13/09/2022 14:57

Thanks for posting the Bother offer. I've never heard of them before but stocked up on oil, loo roll etc and got the 15 quid off so great bargain. I got another £1.88 off going via quidco as well

AlabamaWorley22 · 13/09/2022 15:00

@TwinkleChristmas have you tried a WetBrush? They’re much much better than a tangle teezer (for curls) and only about £7 on Amazon. Honestly they just glide through your hair.

ZIGGY911 · 13/09/2022 15:01

I agree wet brushes are much better, we started with tangle teaser and moved to wet brush. They are usually in tkmax too

Yeknom · 13/09/2022 15:04

We have both brushes too, I much prefer the wet brush!

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 13/09/2022 15:05

I can vouch for the wet brush as well !!I have long wavy hair and it gets knotted lots and honestly they are amazing!!

BrainFoggerty · 13/09/2022 13:42

How long will Shein keep items in the basket? I need to get some work done & have quite a few bits in but I'm not done yet 😁

They stay in the basket until they sell out - its a permanent basket.

BrainFoggerty · 13/09/2022 15:16

@LaTangerina brilliant thanks!

@FetlocksBlowingInTheWind, thank you so much for recommending the website for silver jewellery and for the code. I bought myself some lovely pieces, as well as presents for MIL and niece. They arrived today and are absolutely gorgeous!

You're welcome! Glad it was useful! There are some really nice things on there.

Sorry, I didn’t pay much attention as it wasn’t what I was looking for.

There were several different types, but none with children’s characters on that I remember.

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 13/09/2022 16:05

Thank you all the same!!

Yalz · 13/09/2022 16:07

@TwinkleChristmas , Boots had Wet Brushes on offer last week. The one I noticed was £13 reduced to £8:50, but I can’t see them online.

I’m a recent convert to Wet Brushes: I have fine straight hair.

Yalz · 13/09/2022 16:07

Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough · 13/09/2022 16:05

You’re most welcome!

IDontDrinkTea · 13/09/2022 16:09

Well after all the wetbrush recommendations, I’ve gone to buy one and if you’re happy to have it in pink it is at its lowest ever price of £5.72 according to camel camel camel

Chevyimpala67 · 13/09/2022 16:16

Hi all👋
Just fyi:

The Dr Botanicals 70% off sale stuff is fine but the sizes are rather small. I'd have been livid if I'd paid full price!

Turtle Doves: I ordered a full price pair. They didn't arrive and I asked for a refund. They insisted on sending another pair tracked post - ok fine - but instead of the navy I requested I'm getting light blue!

I'll keep them (probably) but I won't order from them again I'm afraid.

It's not a bargain but I'm loving my delonghi dedica coffee maker! Definitely worth it. I got mine from AO and it was £180.

Jury is still out on the ninja airfryer...

FilthyforFirth · 13/09/2022 16:17

Hi @Deckthewallswithpaintandplaydough have you checked out Vinted? You can filter for brand new with tags etc. You could try searching for some of the things on your list to see what comes up.

For example these bedroom unicorn lights are £5
