Just found it on Amazon! £13 delivered. I’m going to order it…

NoWordForFluffy · 02/10/2022 07:53

Oh, and Amazon. Maybe they've been getting stock distributed since you last looked!

second time using heated airer: had the heat on for 8 hours then switched off from midnight. I’ve just taken all the washing off which is dry apart from my jeans so I’m really pleased with it.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 02/10/2022 08:51

Morning all, did some gardening in the glorious sunshine yesterday and have hurt my back Grin

off for a run while DH and DS build furniture from IKEA.

off to the theatre this evening to see The Famous Five, can’t wait

WreckTangled · 02/10/2022 09:16

Just had to cancel breakfast as ds had a complete meltdown. Completely unfair on dd. Now everyone’s in a bad mood.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/10/2022 10:08

Where were you going for breakfast Wreck ?
I love a 'Spoons Vegetarian Breakfast but DS is a nightmare for eating in the morning so whenever I suggest it he's Xmas Hmm
We have a nice-ish Wetherspoons 5 minutes walk away , it's on my To Do List to drag them along .

I have a sore arm and a headache this morning after my Covid vaccine , though water/coffee/paracetamol has taken care of the headache , my arm feels achey still.

I'm watching QVC doing some Christmas shows at the moment .

WreckTangled · 02/10/2022 10:17

We were going to go to a hungry horse Grin 20% blue light discount. Oh well, we will try again next week. I’ve brought dd to a fancy cafe for hot chocolate instead. Our nearest spoons is about forty mins drive but the HH is only 25.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 02/10/2022 14:10

I have just ordered the Christmas Imaginarium catalogue. Looking forward to looking through that when it comes.

NoWordForFluffy · 02/10/2022 15:33

We sometimes go to a PI for breakfast. Our only HH shut either this or last weekend.

Our Wetherspoons' pubs aren't ones I'd go to with the kids. Bit grim! 🙈🤣

WreckTangled · 02/10/2022 15:41

We went to a PI in April, they didn’t have any pain au chocolat or pancakes so we weren’t impressed Grin

CrazyBaubles · 02/10/2022 18:32

Hope you're feeling a bit better 70 and why

I've been very lazy after attending a wedding yesterday and feeling tired today. Making up for it now by sorting out a lot of things I need to return tomorrow then tidying our bedroom (including the random bag of items I seem to have accumulated in the bottom of my wardrobe Hmm).

Will keep going until 7 which should be enough time. Then I'll be finishing my gonks by adding a bell to the hats then starting a cross stitch Christmas card - the one in the pic Xmas Smile

That is too cute crazy 😍

We had a lovely time swimming this morning - had the pool to ourselves for nearly an hour! DD now feels confident enough to swim without holding onto me (with a floaty vest and four armbands on!) She was frantically chasing DS saying 'kick, kick, I swimming'.

She's 2 in four weeks, which I can hardly believe, and it's such a lovely age.

Random question for those of you with older DC - what age did/would you leave them alone in the bath? We haven't stayed in the bathroom with DS for a couple of years but one of us always stays nearby and keeps an ear out.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 02/10/2022 19:14

I am still feeling horrific. I really want it to go away now.

Firefly It has been many years since my two were young but I think it was about eight or nine maybe.

WreckTangled · 02/10/2022 19:21

I think I used to potter about upstairs from when they were about 5/6. DD’s been having showers since she was about 8 (that’s when she started developing and wanted things to be private). Ds is almost 10 and still likes us to be there to chat to him 😅 more than safe on his own though!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 02/10/2022 21:13

Ooh gosh , cannot remember exactly .
I do know when I had a bath DD would wander in (we didn't have a lock and my DH knew exactly what was in DD mind ! ) and comment on the lovely bubbles .
Next thing she was poking her finger in the water and if it was to her liking , shedding her clothes and clambered in.
Usually by this time I was fed up of the bath (and it was cooler) so I wrapped up in my robe and towel and sat in the toilet while she bathed , had to keep close as it was deep water .

ConstantlyCooking · 02/10/2022 22:05

Good evening all! Work and home are v busy. I had a trip to Tesco one evening last week and bought celebrations plus by BBC Good Food magazine. DD and I will do our M&S order tomorrow. We only want a couple of items but missed out last year because we left it until late October!

Morning!

Why is it Monday again so soon?! <cries>

It's going to be a bit of a wild week, from Weds, apparently. Touch breezy!

At least I have time off soon. Hurrah!

Oh, CC, the food to order places seem to have very little buffet food included, annoying. I'm going to order from Morrisons, once it opens. I don't need dinner stuff, as it's all in hand.

Morning. Beautiful red sky here this morning. I’m going out for dinner and to the cinema with a friend this evening. My cold is horrible, it’s all on my chest and I couldn’t breathe all night in my half asleep state.

2under2howscary · 03/10/2022 07:41

Morning everyone, DS turns 2 tomorrow, then it's decorating for Halloween. I love this time of year. Had a mad rush to sort Christmas activities out when they were released, especially one in Alnwick! Have you all booked up? X

CrazyBaubles · 03/10/2022 08:29

Morning. Colds galore here - I kept waking DH up because I couldn't breathe and he kept waking me by coughing 😷
Trying a mix of hydrating, taking some things gently but also powering through as we both have hectic work weeks.

I've done nothing Christmassy for a while apart from finishing off the gonks and starting the x stitch yesterday.
I need to get a wriggle on and really think about what I'm buying for people.

BiddyPop · 03/10/2022 09:48

Morning, definitely colder here again today after a nice weekend. I may have to turn the heating on for an hour. Haven't been posting much as mostly MN has been my mindless retreat from DD and work pressures (in that order) - am fantasising about winning the lottery and buying a house just for me and with space for a decent office. Then I take a deep breath and rise above. Again.

xogossipgirlxo · 03/10/2022 13:19

Hello everyone 😊I woke up feeling Christmassy today 😂I should think of putting some halloween/autumn decorations instead. Do you have any? Nothing crazy, maybe few pumpkins and some spider's web outside the house/on the door.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/10/2022 17:58

Too early for for me Hallowe'en xogossip .
Last year it was howling a gale so I couldn't put up what I wanted or it would've cartwheeled off down the road Grin

I have some cellophane to do the windows orange and stick on bats to make a swarm .
Lots of pumpkins , depending on how they're priced .
I use LED tea-lights so they don't blow out and I'll buy more sweets , we ran out last year !
As it's a Monday I'll decorate on the Sunday .

NerosFiddle · 03/10/2022 20:21

Evening.

Blowing an absolute gale tonight.

Got a Tesco shop this morning. I've been adding a bottle of alcohol every week for Dh birthday party. So far I've got beers, Guinness, gin and vodka. Still I've to get whiskey, and baileys, maybe rum. I've wine to get too but that'll be a lot closer to the time so that I'm not tempted to drink it 🙈
